Charlize Theron's Andy Fights Quynh in a 500 Year Old Battle in New Clip From THE OLD GUARD 2 — GeekTyrant
Netflix has released a new clip from the upcoming sequel The Old Guard 2 , in which we get to see Charlize Theron's character Andy and Veronica Ngo's Quynh go head to head in a battle that's 500 years in the making. Theron talked about the plot of the film, and her character's change from the first movie, in a recent interview where she stated, "The stakes have never been higher. Andy is mortal now, so there's a very real possibility that she could die during any mission this time around." The first film concluded with significant shifts in the group's dynamic: Andy (Theron) lost her immortality, Nile (KiKi Layne) gained it, and Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts) was exiled. The film's full synopsis reads: 'Andy (Charlize Theron) and her team of immortal warriors are back, with a renewed sense of purpose in their mission to protect the world. With Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts) still in exile after his betrayal, and Quynh (Veronica Ngô) out for revenge after escaping her underwater prison, Andy grapples with her newfound mortality as a mysterious threat emerges that could jeopardize everything she's worked towards for thousands of years. 'Andy, Nile (KiKi Layne), Joe (Marwan Kenzari), Nicky (Luca Marinelli) and James Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) enlist the help of Tuah (Henry Golding), an old friend who may provide the key to unlocking the mystery behind immortal existence.' Nicole Scherzinger Elevates Casual Dressing in Carolina Herrera Shirtdress for Tony Awards' Nominees Event
Nicole Scherzinger elevated casual dressing in a Carolina Herrera frock on Thursday, while joining her fellow 2025 Tony Award nominees for a press event in New York City. The former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman was nominated for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her work in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical 'Sunset Blvd.' Scherzinger wore the stretch-cotton wide-sleeve midi shirtdress in a nutmeg shade with dark buttons. The construction of the midi dress featured notched lapels, wide elbow-length sleeves, an extended tab waistband and a plunging neckline. The elbow-length sleeves of her dress were also cuffed for added structure. Scherzinger's glam featured her hair styled in a bun on the crown of her head with wisps of hair to frame her face. Her makeup included such elements as bold brows, lined eyes and a glossy lip. The press event was the latest stop on Scherzinger's 'Sunset Blvd.' promotional tour, and her first following her first Tony Award nomination. Prior to that, Scherzinger attended the 2025 Time 100 Gala on April 24, wearing a design from Zuhair Murad's pre-fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The Zuhair Murad dress featured a black, off-the-shoulder sequin gown design, with shimmering elements and a short train, along with a plunging neckline and fabric contrast. Why Charlize Theron Thinks Uma Thurman Should've Won an Oscar for ‘Kill Bill'
Charlize Theron is wishing one actress took home a golden statuette for their work. Theron recently stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote her upcoming movie, The Old Guard 2, when the pair spoke about her co-star, Uma Thurman, and Theron's recollection of the actress before working with her. 'Because when I came into the action world, she was really, to me, like, the sensei. She was the OG.' Jimmy Kimmel added, 'I agree. She should have won the Academy Award for Kill Bill, right?' Theron responded, 'A hundred percent. I think men get a lot of credit for these movies.' 'What she did in that film was just so unbelievable. And to me, she's just such a badass,' the Mad Max: Fury Road actress continued. 'Since I've been in action movies, I'm like, 'Who do I want to like work with and do an action sequence with?' It's always been Uma Thurman. Always.' Theron then explained why she was nervous to work with the Pulp Fiction star. 'I was definitely intimidated by her especially when she showed up and she was given one sword and we had worked out this whole sequence and she went, 'I think I want two swords,'' the actress said. Theron won her best actress Oscar in 2004 for Monster and was nominated in 2006 for North Country and in 2020 for Bombshell. For Thurman's part, she received a nom for Pulp Fiction in 1995, but lost to Jessica Lange.
