Madhuri Dixit once screamed at this actor, she started crying and…, his name is…, the reason was…
Madhuri Dixit once screamed at this actor, she started crying and…, his name is…, the reason was… In the dazzling world of Bollywood, the reel and real life of celebrities often become a blur. The on-screen chemistry of celebrities is often idealised and widely hailed. One such story is of a on-screen pair whose chemistry lit up the screen, creating an unmatchable magic that ruled the box office. The duo that we are talking about is none other than Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor. In the late 80s and 90s, this pairing was considered lucky as they delivered hit after hit together. From Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, or Beta, audiences couldn't get enough of their on-screen romance. But behind the magic that they created through their romantic pairing were some behind-the-scenes that never came into the limelight. To execute these perfect romantic scenes, there were stories of discomfort and struggle. One such moment happened in the year 2000, when Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit shot for a film called Apna Pukar, which was never released in the theatres. Set in the romantic landscape of Alaska, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit went to shoot their romantic song called 'Kismat Se Tum Humko Mile' in the sub-zero temperatures. While the location was aesthetically breathtaking, its cold temperature made it physically discomforting for them. Especially because Madhuri had to shoot donning a thin layered chiffon saree in this scorching cold. During the appearance of Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor on The Kapil Sharma Show, the duo spilled some beans on their behind-the-scenes moments of Apna Pukar. Recalling with joy, Anil Kapoor revealed that he got scolded by Madhuri Dixit during the shoot, and the reason behind that also had us in splits. Anil said that he was fully covered in layers of warm clothes – a full suit, muffler, gloves, and boots. Whereas Madhuri was donning a delicate chiffon saree. Anil admitted that he suggested that Madhuri wear the saree in such freezing temperatures. He added he even suggested flying a helicopter overhead to generate artificial wind. 'When we were shooting, there was a lot of wind, but then suddenly the wind stopped. But the need of the scene was that the icy winds should continue to blow, and the song should be shot. In such a situation, I suggested to the makers that we should fly the helicopter from above,' he said. What followed later was an unforgettable moment for Madhuri. As the helicopter hovered to create the desired wind effect, the already freezing Madhuri began to shiver uncontrollably. She said, 'I was turning blue. My face was frozen, and I couldn't even lip-sync properly.' She finally broke down. 'I screamed and shouted for the first time in my life and then started crying,' she confessed.

'Tell Him It's Over': How Madhuri Dixit Allegedly Ended Things With Sanjay Dutt After His 1993 Arrest
Last Updated: Sanjay Dutt allegedly told Madhuri Dixit 'I love you' during their 90s romance, but their bond faded after his arrest and split from wife Richa Sharma. Madhuri Dixit, often revered as the 'queen of Bollywood," has captivated generations with her acting brilliance, radiant presence, and iconic dance numbers. Rising to stardom in the late 1980s, she carved out a place for herself in an industry largely dominated by men. With blockbusters like Tezaab, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, and Dil To Pagal Hai, Madhuri didn't just hold her own—she led the charge. Yet beyond her cinematic achievements, it was her rumored relationship with Bollywood's 'bad boy" Sanjay Dutt that became the stuff of gossip column legend. Their alleged romance—set against a backdrop of hit films, public speculation, and personal turbulence—remains one of the most whispered-about chapters in Bollywood history. The two first shared the screen in films like Khatron Ke Khiladi, Thanedaar, Saajan, Khalnayak, and Ilaaka. Their on-screen chemistry was magnetic. But it wasn't just the cameras catching sparks. Industry insiders at the time noted an undeniable closeness between the stars off-camera—an emotional intimacy that felt like more than just professional camaraderie. While Madhuri never publicly confirmed the relationship, the rumors swirled intensely throughout the early 1990s. Sanjay Dutt, meanwhile, was married to actress Richa Sharma, who was undergoing treatment for a brain tumor in the United States. During her absence, it was believed that Sanjay and Madhuri grew increasingly close—a connection that turned complicated when Richa returned to India. According to reports, Richa was devastated by the state of her marriage upon her return. While she tried to rebuild their relationship, the emotional distance between her and Sanjay only deepened. At the same time, Madhuri reportedly began pulling away from the actor, especially as his legal troubles loomed. Everything changed in 1993 when Sanjay Dutt was arrested under the TADA Act for illegal possession of arms in connection with the Mumbai bomb blasts. His sudden fall from grace shocked the nation—and allegedly marked the end of his equation with Madhuri. According to a report in Stardust magazine at the time, Madhuri decisively cut ties. The article claimed she had conveyed through Sanjay's sister: 'Please tell Sanju not to call me up ever. Tell him that it's all over." Whether or not those words were truly hers, the message was clear—Madhuri had chosen distance, prioritizing her reputation and professional future. Richa Sharma, before her tragic death in 1996, spoke briefly about the pain Sanjay endured after Madhuri exited his life. She described him as someone emotionally fragile, saying he often leaned heavily on others for support. Losing Madhuri, she believed, left him emotionally adrift. Through the years, Sanjay Dutt has occasionally hinted at the affection he once held for her. In a 2017 event, when asked which actress he would marry if given the chance, he answered candidly: 'I would like to marry Madhuri Dixit." His remark stirred fresh conversation, but Madhuri remained publicly silent, as she had for decades. Despite endless speculation, Madhuri has consistently maintained her dignity and distance. While tabloids continued to revisit their story, she chose to focus on her career, marriage, and motherhood—never allowing a media narrative to define her legacy. Today, Madhuri Dixit stands not only as one of Indian cinema's most enduring stars, but also as a woman who moved forward with grace—leaving behind a rumored romance that, though never confirmed, continues to live on in Bollywood's collective memory. Aamir Khan Once Dubbed ‘Flop Actor', Today He's Worth $770 Million: ‘Don't Take Him'
Today, Aamir Khan is not only a Bollywood icon but a global star. His net worth is estimated to be around $770 million, placing him among the richest actors in the world. Aamir Khan is one of Bollywood's most successful stars today, but his journey to the top wasn't smooth. In fact, following his breakout debut in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), Aamir delivered seven back-to-back flops, earning him the dreaded label of a 'flop actor" before his major turnaround with the 1990 romantic drama Dil. Interestingly, Dil also starred Madhuri Dixit, who was undergoing a similar rough patch. Despite delivering a hit like Tezaab, Madhuri was also being written off due to several of her films either failing or being shelved midway. Actor Adi Irani, who featured alongside them in Dil, recently reflected on this forgotten phase during a podcast with Filmymantra Media. 'Six-seven films of his flopped in a row after Aamir Khan's first film. He was considered a flop hero… That was the case for Madhuri Dixit as well," he shared. Adi revealed that Dil only happened because director Indra Kumar couldn't get frequent collaborator Anil Kapoor's dates. Indra, who had earlier produced Mohabbat and Kasam with Anil, wanted him for his directorial debut Beta. But due to scheduling issues, Anil advised Indra to take on a smaller project in the meantime and that's how Dil came into being, with Aamir and Madhuri headlining it. 'Anil Kapoor told Indra Kumar, 'Make a small-budget film in the meantime. You'll also get experience being a director too,'" Adi recalled. Aamir Khan himself has often spoken about this phase. At a recent PVR event celebrating his films, he said, 'Back then, actors worked on 30 to 50 films simultaneously… I ended up signing 9-10 films at once. I was not happy. I would go home and cry." He added, 'The media dubbed me a 'one-film wonder.' Rightly so… I could see my career going down the drain. I was stuck in a swamp, unable to get out." But the massive success of Dil resurrected both his and Madhuri's careers. What followed was an era of dominance for Aamir, marked by critically acclaimed and commercially successful films such as Raja Hindustani, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, PK and Dangal. Today, Aamir Khan is not only a Bollywood icon but a global star. His net worth is estimated to be around $770 million (over Rs 6,000 crore), placing him among the richest actors in the world. From being considered a 'flop hero" to earning that title, Aamir's journey is nothing short of inspiring. First Published: May 30, 2025, 22:05 IST
