New Delhi: Tahira Kashyap recently spoke about the intial phase of her marriage, where her bank balance was down to zero. She revealed how she had her savings, some of it which she had spent on her wedding. But she had no job in Mumbai, and Ayushmann Khurrana did not realise how the house was being run by her and where the groceries were coming from. She recalled how everything went for a toss because it was almost a year since she went broke. What's Happening Tahira Kashyap revealed how her bank balance was zero within a year of her marriage as there was no job in Mumbai. She told Official People Of India, "I had spent some money on my wedding, but I had my own savings. But, I didn't have a job in Mumbai. This boy (Ayushmann Khurrana) did not understand how we were getting the food, like how we were buying all of these vegetables, fruits. My bank balance was depleting. I had never asked anyone for money, even my parents. I had always been financially independent, but now everything went for a toss because it had been a year, and my bank balance was zero." She further revealed how a question of Ayushmann Khurrana's triggered her, "I was so angry because he didn't notice that I wasn't eating mangoes for two days, so he could eat. He asked, 'What's the problem?' And I just started crying. I asked, 'How do you think we are buying groceries?' He was like, 'Oh yeah'. I said, 'My bank balance is zero. It's been 7-8 months, and I am trying to figure out jobs, and we are spending only my savings'." She concluded by saying that it was then that Ayushmann Khurrana asked her why she had been hesitant to ask for financial help, and she told the truth. Chhavi Mittal is among the actors who have opened up about their breast cancer treatment. She recently shared how she and her family coped with her diagnosis and also spoke about a conversation she had with filmmaker Tahira Kashyap, who has also undergone treatment for breast on Shardul Pandit's podcast about her diagnosis and treatment, Chhavi said, "The first person I called put me through to Tahira Kashyap. I had a long chat with her the next day. She helped put a lot of confidence in me." Chhavi stated that Tahira's advice on how to go through it and what to expect gave her a lot of further added, "The doctor refused to say if I had cancer and kept saying it would be alright. I pestered him to tell me. I had a script narration to attend to and told him I'd get back to him. Then I went home, told my husband to get me a beer, and broke the news. He had tears in his eyes, held my hand, and said, 'We will get through this.' I said, 'of course.'"advertisementChhavi was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in April 2022. On April 26, 2022, she was declared cancer-free post a six-hour-long surgery. Reacting to the same, Chhavi wrote on social media, "When the anaesthesiologist asked me to close my eyes and think of something nice, I visualised my beautiful breasts perfectly healthy and then I went under. The next thing I know, I woke up cancer free (sic)!" Marking three years since her surgery, Chhavi recently shared a video montage featuring moments from her time in the hospital and her recovery journey. In the caption, she wrote, "3 years. And it feels like a lifetime. A lifetime of lessons, realisations, battles, ups and downs I'm so, so proud of myself. It wasn't easy. It is not easy. But as long as I have me and my sanity, I've got this. Happy 3rd birthday to me!"Chhavi has acted in films like 'Kaisey Kahein' (2007), 'Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi' (2008) and 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Ssaat' (2009).
