She recently shared how she and her family coped with her diagnosis and also spoke about a conversation she had with filmmaker Tahira Kashyap, who has also undergone treatment for breast cancer.Speaking on Shardul Pandit's podcast about her diagnosis and treatment, Chhavi said, "The first person I called put me through to Tahira Kashyap. I had a long chat with her the next day. She helped put a lot of confidence in me." Chhavi stated that Tahira's advice on how to go through it and what to expect gave her a lot of clarity. She further added, "The doctor refused to say if I had cancer and kept saying it would be alright. I pestered him to tell me. I had a script narration to attend to and told him I'd get back to him. Then I went home, told my husband to get me a beer, and broke the news. He had tears in his eyes, held my hand, and said, 'We will get through this.' I said, 'of course.'"advertisementChhavi was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in April 2022. On April 26, 2022, she was declared cancer-free post a six-hour-long surgery. The next thing I know, I woke up cancer free (sic)!"
Marking three years since her surgery, Chhavi recently shared a video montage featuring moments from her time in the hospital and her recovery journey. In the caption, she wrote, "3 years. And it feels like a lifetime. A lifetime of lessons, realisations, battles, ups and downs I'm so, so proud of myself. It wasn't easy. It is not easy. But as long as I have me and my sanity, I've got this. Happy 3rd birthday to me!"Chhavi has acted in films like 'Kaisey Kahein' (2007), 'Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi' (2008) and 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Ssaat' (2009). Tahira Kashyap breaks free from labels in moving note on identity and self-acceptance

Ayushmann Khurrana's wife and author Tahira Kashyap shared a deeply reflective piece on social media. In an Instagram post, she opened up about the complex layers of identity that women often carry. In her poetic and heartfelt note, Tahira posed the timeless question, 'Who am I?' a query she said is often asked during therapy or while truly contemplating life. From being a mother, wife, daughter, and sister to a cancer survivor and creative professional, Kashyap highlighted how easy it is to be labelled and yet how hard it is to be confined within definitions. She encouraged her followers to go beyond societal boxes and embrace their full, limitless selves. With the use of metaphors, Tahira Kashyap wrote about finding joy in simple pleasures like mocha and cheesecake or a kind gesture from a flower seller in the heat of the afternoon. The star wife described herself as a cherry blossom blooming in unfamiliar cities and as underlined sentences in a book that offer meaning beyond beauty. Sharing her video, Tahira wrote, 'Who are you today? What do you see? (P.s- inspiration for this piece lies in my last post, you'll get to see what I saw and how) #StoriesInMyHead.' In the clip, she could be heard saying, 'Who am I? A profound question, generally asked before therapies or while truly pondering over life. A mother, wife, daughter, sister, professional, homemaker, cancer survivor. How easy it is to be labelled and how difficult it is to be boxed. Our potential is vast and mystical, shortchanged by our own limitations that are whimsical.' 'It's time I go beyond and I am the other. Sparkle along with the shining moon. I am accepting of love from all corners, even from a flower seller in the heat of the noon. I'm joy seeing mocha and cheesecake. I'm the vibrancy that yoga brings forth for my health's sake. I'm the flower that blooms, whether it's the cherry blossom in Japan or a lookalike in another city. I'm the line that you've marked five times over in a book because you want to learn and not just because I'm pretty. I'm so much more if I allow myself to be. Who am I? Should often be asked because I get to appreciate what others could never see.' On the personal front, Tahira Kashyap is battling a recurrence of breast cancer, which was initially diagnosed in 2018.

Meet man who made debut with Sachin Tendulkar, quit cricket to become actor, career was ruined due to..., now lives life like..., he is...

Many cricketers such as Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, and Shikhar Dhawan have made cameo appearances in Bollywood. However, none of them ever quit playing the sport. Today, we will discuss a man who started his career by playing alongside Sachin Tendulkar. Over time, he realised his interest leaned more towards acting, which led him to quit cricket and pursue a career as an actor. After venturing into acting, this man became a TV star, but his Bollywood career never took off. This person had an impressive cricket debut when he played against Pakistan in his first match. Coincidentally, it also marked the international debut of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. If you're wondering who this person is, let us give you a bit of nostalgia. Remember the famous horror-comedy show Ssshhh…Koi Hai? He is the same actor we're talking about! He is none other than Salil Ankola. When Salil Started His Career with Sachin Tendulkar Salil Ankola, a right-arm fast-medium bowler, represented India in 20 One Day Internationals between 1989 and 1997, including the 1996 Cricket World Cup co-hosted by India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Salil Ankola's TV Debut However, Salil had to face a string of dismal performances, and with that, he decided to retire at the age of 28. Salil realised his passion for acting and made his debut in the TV series Chahat Aur Nafrat in 1997. Over the years, he worked in various serials such as Kora Kagaz, Kehta Hai Dil, Vikraal Aur Gabraal, and Rishtey. However, in the late 2000s, good scripts and offers started to decline, and Salil was left with nothing. This was the time when he turned to alcohol. The addiction not only ruined his professional career but also his personal life. His 19-year-long marriage ended in divorce in 2011. The sportsperson in him resurfaced, leading him to seek help at a rehabilitation centre. Ankola made a strong comeback and gained recognition for his role as Surya Dev in the Colors TV show Karmaphal Daata Shani, which aired from 2016 to 2018.
