Liverpool set price as Erik ten Hag eyes Liverpool swoop to replace Bayern star

Liverpool are braced for a bid for Jarell Quansah after Bayer Leverkusen made their interest in the Reds defender clear. But the Merseysiders will want around £40m to part with the defender. The two clubs have been locked in talks for weeks over a record £116m deal for Germany star Florian Wirtz, who will undergo his medical on Merseyside on Friday. Any deal for Quansah would be separate to that and talks will continue after the Wirtz deal is finalised rather than hold up that transfer. Liverpool would be reluctant sellers of Quansah, 22, who is currently with England's U21s at the European Championships. They have been monitoring Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, who they could move for if Quansah was to leave. Guehi is out of contract at Selhurst Park next summer but is also of interest to Newcastle. Quansah signed a new contract last season and is very much admired among the Reds staff but he also wants to play more after falling down the pecking order at Anfield. Leverkusen are looking to replace Jonathan Tah, who left to join Bayern Munich and new boss Erik ten Hag is a fan of Quansah. The Bundesliga club would hope to negotiate a lower fee than £40m and would hope their dealings with the Reds may help talks. Liverpool have Virgil van Dijk, who signed a two-year deal, and Ibrahima Konate, who is entering the last 12 months of his contract, as centre-back options with Joe Gomez's future also in doubt. That would mean should Quansah move then Liverpool are likely to bring in a centre-back with Guehi a player of interest. Any more incoming transfers are likely to be put on pause this summer for the time being following a lucrative window. Jeremie Frimpong arrived from Leverkusen for a fee of £35m, while Wirtz' own arrival will see Liverpool smash their transfer record. Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez also appears to be on the verge of becoming a Liverpool player according to his dad and agent Sebastijan. Speaking on Super Indirektno, he said: 'It's only Liverpool for us and we're not going anywhere else and we won't talk to other clubs. Everything is done between us (personal terms) we just need to sort out some details but it's basically a done deal." Should Liverpool sell Jarell Quansah this summer? Share your thoughts in the comments below Liverpool are expected to pay around £45m for the Hungarian. Meanwhile, Quansah is not the only star to have been linked with an exit this summer. Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Federico Chiesa and Andrew Robertson are all potentially candidates to leave over the coming months. Florian Wirtz flies in for Liverpool medical after holiday with new team-mate

Florian Wirtz is set to become Liverpool's record signing after the Reds agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen and he will now undergo a medical with his new side over the coming days Florian Wirtz has been spotted flying to the UK as Liverpool prepare to complete his record signing. The Reds agreed a deal with the German's current side Bayer Leverkusen that will see them break their all-time transfer record. The reigning Premier League champions are expected to pay in excess of £100m initially with multi-million pound add-ons being slotted into the deal. After thrashing out the terms of the agreement, all that is left is for Wirtz to undergo his medical with his new side and undergo his media commitments. ‌ And it appears that is not too far aware. According to numerous reports, Wirtz arrived at a Cologne airport in a people carrier with his representatives ahead of flying to the UK. It was suggested in Germany that Wirtz may have undergone the first part of his Liverpool medical on Thursday, with final details due to be thrashed on Friday. ‌ It was further reported that Wirtz's plane was expected to land in Manchester shortly before 5pm. Once the move is finalised, the 22-year-old will be reunited with his former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong - the pair having recently holidayed together. Both stars shared a snap of them on a boat, with Frimpong captioning the picture 'Vacation mode with my bro.' And while the former Leverkusen defender will no doubt be delighted to be reunited with his pal on Merseyside, Wirtz's family might be even more delighted at the transfer. The German's parents Hans and Karin, who also act as his agents, have joined him when he travelled to England last month, and have negotiated on his behalf. And as per, Sport Bild, via Sport Witness, they will rake in around €10m (£8.55m) over the course of their son's contract with Liverpool. Wirtz is set to become Liverpool's third signing of the summer following the Frimpong's arrival, while Arne Slot 's side also moved for young goalkeeper Armin Pecsi. The additions are not expected to stop there, either. Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez looks to be on the verge of a switch to Anfield after both his brother and his dad dropped major hints on his future. ‌ Speaking on Super Indirektno, his dad Sebastijan Kerkez said: 'It's only Liverpool for us and we're not going anywhere else and we won't talk to other clubs. Everything is done between us (personal terms) we just need to sort out some details but it's basically a done deal." Once those deals are over the line, attention could then turn to exits. Darwin Nunez, Jarrel Quansah and more have all been linked with departures this summer.

Milos Kerkez's dad provides major update on Liverpool transfer

A major update on Milos Kerkez's move to Liverpool has been provided by the AFC Bournemouth left-back's dad. Sebastijan Kerkez, who is also his son's agent, has revealed the switch is a 'done deal' as the summer transfer window has now re-opened. Advertisement Appearing on the Super Indirektno podcast, he said: 'It's only Liverpool for us and we're not going anywhere else and we won't talk to other clubs. 'Everything is done between us, we just need to sort out some details, but it's basically a done deal." Liverpool have been pushing to sign the 21-year-old Hungary international after an impressive campaign at Bournemouth. He scored twice and assisted five goals from left-back in his second season with the club, and is set to be rewarded with a move to the Premier League champions. A fee of £40-45m has been touted around, as the switch was seemingly pushed closer to completion when the Cherries signed 23-year-old Adrien Truffert from Rennes on a five-year deal. Milos Kerkez is a target for Liverpool (Getty Images) In recruiting a replacement for Kerkez, the much-talked-about Liverpool agreement became closer to being sealed, giving a sign that Bournemouth are prepared for his exit. Advertisement And now, Kerkez Sr has made the move even clearer. He also noted that Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes was a major influence in Kerkez's decision to move to Anfield. The former Bournemouth defensive midfielder joined the Cherries' recruitment team when Eddie Howe was manager, before making the move to the Reds himself. Liverpool have agreed to sign Florian Wirtz (PA Wire) Kerkez's dad added: "Richard Hughes brought us to Bournemouth, if he said we go to India, then we go to India, everything is agreed, just some little things." The former AZ Alkmaar left-back has close to 20 appearances for his national team, where he lines up alongside current Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai. Arne Slot has been keen to add a long-term replacement for 31-year-old Andy Robertson, who is a target for Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, with the deal for Kerkez now seemingly only a matter of time.
