BBC launch huge Oasis coverage ahead of reunion gigs with entire night of music Oasis fans will definitely(maybe) enjoy BBC's Saturday night line up of Gallagher Brothers content ahead of their reunion tour. Liam and Noel Gallagher will reunite on stage for the first time in 16 years with their huge reunion tour this summer (Image: Getty Images ) Whether or not you managed to get tickets, you may want to get your Oasis fix before the reunion tour kicks off in a couple of weeks time. Now, the BBC have decided to be incredibly generous and broadcast a night of Gallagher best bits on Saturday, June 21. In two weeks time we will (hopefully) see the notoriously feuding brothers take the stage for the first time together in 15 years. Their reunion tour kicks off in Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday, July 4 with a second show at the venue on Saturday, July 5. BBC Two Wales will be airing two different Oasis performances as well as a documentary on the band from 8.35pm to 00.00am on the Saturday. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter Dig out your anoraks and bucket hats, because it's the perfect night in for fans of the band and if you didn't get your hands on tickets it is the closest thing to the real deal. Well, that or seeing a tribute artist I guess. Moving on. From 8.35pm fans of the band can watch Oasis at the BBC, followed by the documentary Oasis: Right Here, Right Now at 10.20pm. Article continues below Lastly, at 11.00pm audiences will be treated to a studio concert by the Gallagher brothers, hosted by Jools Holland called Later Presents Oasis. It was first shown in April 2000, and includes tracks like the number one Go Let It Out, as well as earlier hits like Wonderwall, Some Might Say and Supersonic. If you're planning on watching BBC's coverage and you're still searching for tickets for the gigs, there are several options still available. Tickets can be bought from the official Ticketmaster resell site, Viagogo, Vividseats, See Tickets, StubHub, Seat Unique, and Twickets. You can find more information here. Viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused. However, fans should always bear in mind that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, discourage the purchase of resale tickets. Lloyds Banking Group estimated that Oasis fans collectively lost more than £2 million to scams since tickets for the band's long-awaited reunion tour went on sale last year. Oasis fans fume at latest ticket update - 'It's a massive let down'
Oasis Live 25 ticket anger as thousands miss out on front standing spots Thousands of Oasis fans have been left disappointed after learning they won't be anywhere near the front at the band's Heaton Park gigs. After the struggle to land tickets in the first place, Ticketmaster announced on May 23 plans to split the crowd for safety reasons. A total of around 80,000 people will watch Noel and Liam Gallagher each night. Now fans who opted into the draw have found out if they have won a spot in 'front standing' or are 'general admission'. Last night on June 17 fans got emails back telling them the good or bad news. And whilst some people were happy, the majority of course could not be accommodated and some were upset or disappointed. Sarah Rowe messaged Ticketmaster on twitter and said: 'There's lots of angry fans regarding Oasis front/ general admission allocations for Heaton Park - what is the capacity for front standing? And should this have been on the tickets prior to purchasing?' Another disappointed fan wrote: "General admission for the nights of 11th and 16th. Definitely a let down.' Oasis play Heaton Park on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th, Wednesday 16th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of July. Explaining the decision, Ticketsmaster previously said in an email: "The Safety Advisory Group for the Heaton Park shows have divided the concert arena into two areas: a general admission area and a front standing area each with a dedicated ticket and entry gate issued in advance. This is to ensure fan safety and improve the fan experience whilst entering the site.' It is unclear exactly how big the front standing area is and the capacity, but the Mirror has contact the tour organisers to try to find out. Liam Gallagher tried to calm fans and their reactions on X, formerly twitter. When one fan called Cesca moaned she was 'stuck at the back' and wanted to be sure his 'biblical vibes' would be projected that far, Liam replied: 'Oh they'll be all around.' Another fan then joined the conversation and was less impressed. David Smith said 'They've f**ked it. Whatever happened to first come, first served idea we used safely for years.' Oasis began their rehearsals on May 20 with the first sessions being without Liam who was resting his voice. Noel Gallagher was pictured alongside Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and new drummer Joey Waronker. In April Noel broke his silence in a new book to talk about the Oasis Live 25 tour. On the demand for tickets, Noel told photographer Kevin Cummins: "I thought it'd be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was.' Liam then joined rehearsals with the rest of Oasis on June 3 and at the time Liam told fans he was feeling 'biblical' about being back with brother Noel performing for the first time in 16 years. Earlier this year Noel was quizzed to name his favourite Oasis song but replied: "Can I have more than one? Supersonic, Some Might Say, Live Forever and Rock'n'Roll Star." The UK shows will also feature special guests Richard Ashcroft and Cast, who are friends with the band. The full list of tour dates are: Cardiff Principality Stadium -Friday 4th and Sat 5th July Manchester Heaton Park - Friday 11th, Sat 12th, Wednesday 16th, Sat 19th, Sunday 20th July London Wembley Stadium - Friday 25th, Sat 26th, Weds 30th, Sat 2nd August, Sunday 3rd Edinburgh Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium - Friday 8th, Sat 9th, Tues 12th August Dublin Croke Park - Sat Aug 16th, Sunday August 17th

'I was touring Japan and they said do you want to join our band?' The Blow Monkeys singer Dr. Robert reveals Oasis stole his drummer
The Blow Monkeys singer Dr. Robert lost drummer Alan White to Oasis. The It Doesn't Have to Be This Way singer was touring as a solo artist in the 1990s and Alan was part of his live band. After Oasis' original drummer Tony McCarroll was fired from the band in April 1995 by Noel Gallagher, the guitarist's friend Paul Weller told him that Alan would be a great fit for the Supersonic rockers. Paul's own drummer Steve White is the brother of Alan and he had heard about his drumming talent from Steve and from Dr. Robert, who previously played in Weller's band The Style Council and is a close friend of "The Modfather". Dr. Robert remembers being on the road in Japan in April 1995 when Alan got a call from Oasis asking him to join straight away so he could appear with them on TV show Top of the Pops when they performed their first number one single Some Might Say. In an interview with Contact Music, Dr. Robert said: "I was touring in Japan at the time when they rang up Alan White, he was drumming with me, and they said, 'Do you want to join our band? We're number one and we're doing Top of the Pops next week.' 'I said, 'Alan, you better go.' 'He's Steve White's brother. Steve used to play for Paul Weller and The Style Council and Alan was drumming for me, so there was a connection. 'Alan's a brilliant drummer, he played on the first solo album I did and he was magnificent. 'I played a lot with his brother Steve, who was phenomenal. He's, like, the greatest British jazz drummer there's ever been, he's so good. 'Alan's different, he's really good at playing on songs, he was perfect for Oasis. You can really hear it on Wonderwall, his drumming on that." Alan was in Oasis from 1995 until 2004 and played on four albums - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, Be Here Now, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and Heathen Chemistry - before departing and being replaced by Zak Starkey - the son of Beatles drummer Sir Ringo Starr. Dr. Robert thought that Alan, 53, or Zak, 59, would get the call to re-join Noel and Liam for the Oasis Live '25 Tour rather the brothers choosing new drummer Joey Waronker for the reunion tour. He said: "I thought Zak Starkey would get the gig. "Although I did like the original drummer Tony McCarroll. He had a lazy style, and he was dreamy, sort of behind the beat, I loved all that." The Blow Monkeys will release their 13th studio album Birdsong on 15 August 2025, followed by a 10-date UK tour in October with The Christians. The band bring out new single The Penny Drops - the first track to be released from the upcoming LP - on 17 June. Tickets are on sale now from the official Blow Monkeys website. The Blow Monkeys full list of tour dates is as follows: Oct 11th - Gateshead, The Glasshouse Oct 13th - Glasgow, Clyde Theatre Oct 14th - Edinburgh, Queen's Hall Oct 16th - Liverpool, Philharmonic Hall Oct 18th - Manchester, RNCM Theatre Oct 19th - Wolverhampton, Wulfrun Hall Oct 21st - Bexhill, De La Warr Pavilion Oct 22nd - Watford, Colosseum Oct 23rd - London, Shepherds Bush Empire Oct 24th - Fareham, Live Theatre

Liam Gallagher stuns fans by claiming Oasis won't perform fan-favourite
Liam Gallagher has left Oasis fans stunned by claiming the Britpop legends won't be including 'Acquiesce' in their 'Oasis Live '25 Tour' setlist. Frontman Liam and guitarist Noel Gallagher are set to perform together for the first time in 16 years at rehearsals on Tuesday (03.06.25) - ahead of the tour kicking off on July 4 in Cardiff. Responding to a fan on X, Liam confirmed; "Yes Rasta D I'm in Tuesday to blow there minds (sic)." Liam has also been answering fans' questions about what songs will be played by the band. He confirmed that 'Rock N Roll Star' is "getting played". However, 'Acquiesce', which Liam performed at his solo shows with female backing singers, didn't make the cut. One fan asked: "You gonna sing Acquiesce with Noel at the Heaton park gigs for us Liam?" To which, Liam replied: "That's not on the list, sorry." Disappointed fans chimed in: "You can't do this to us." Another wrote: "Better get it sorted Liam be a lot of disappointed fans if that don't make the set. Wonderwall can do one." It is, however, worth taking everything Liam says on X with a pinch of salt. 'Acquiesce' was the B-side to Oasis' first UK number-one single, 1995's 'Some Might Say', and featured dual vocals from the Gallagher brothers. Oasis split in 2009, when Noel left the band over a backstage fight with his sibling at Rock en Seine festival in Paris. He said in a statement at the time: 'People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.' However, the Gallagher siblings thrilled fans last year, when they announced Oasis' comeback after 15 years. They wrote on X: 'The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."
