Google Cloud site says ‘no major incidents' amid outage; social media reacts
Google Cloud services were down for thousands of users on Thursday, according to outage tracking website although the website stated that there were no major incidents. There were more than 11,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Google Cloud, according to Downdetector. Users on social media responded to the situation with sarcastic and humorous takes. ' Another user said, 'sorry guys there is no google cloud outage its all in your head' with a picture of the Google Cloud website. One person wrote, 'I do love how the Google Cloud Status page is always the last one to know that Google Cloud is down' Anothr user wrote, 'was coding when i started getting CORS errors for no reason, didnt even touch the backend. i open supabase and my tables are not fetching, clearly its down. i open x and i see google cloud is down on my tl as well. whats happening?' A partial outage has also been reported in applications dependent on Google Cloud. Google cloud: 'It's only a major outage if it comes from the Outagè region of France,' one user said. So far, Google has not responded to the reports about the Google Cloud and Gemini outage. Earlier, in March this year, internet users reported trouble with their Google Chromecast. The Chromecast outage came amid discontinuation news. Google officially discontinued the Chromecast device, replacing it with the new Google TV Streamer.

Reward for tortoise, 43, thought to have been stolen
A woman in South Wales, whose 43-year-old tortoise is thought to have been stolen, has issued an appeal to help locate him - more than a month since he was last seen. Ann Thatcher, whose tortoise Sesame went missing from his home in Neath, South Wales, is still hoping to be reunited with her beloved pet. The 76-year-old told Sky News Sesame had been part of her family since he was bought in a shop in Cardiff 43 years ago. "He's been through five cats, two dogs, two daughters, four grandchildren and various members of the family who've loved him and now gone, so he really is a family member," she said. "And I just can't believe somebody has taken him like that with no thought or regard for him or for us." Her young grandson is particularly upset at the thought of Sesame having been taken away. Sesame would spend most of his time out in the garden, before he would "toddle off to his little house" in the evening. While police have been informed, there was "very little they can do" without further evidence, Mrs Thatcher said. She is now offering a £500 reward to anyone who reunites her with her pet tortoise. Sesame, who Mrs Thatcher described as "quite a frisky male", damaged his shell last year and requires medication. "After having him, cared for him after all this time, now he's not going to be so well treated," Mrs Thatcher added. "He obviously isn't, because they don't know him. And that's what bothers me now is that, will he even survive?" A change in the law was introduced in England and Northern Ireland last year, meaning that anyone convicted of stealing a pet in those nations could face up to five years in prison - but it only extends to cat and dog abduction. Pet theft is a criminal offence in Wales but is not covered by the Pet Abduction Act introduced last year. "We're talking about a living thing here, not items," said Mrs Thatcher. "He's older than my youngest daughter. He's grown up with so many people, it's just wrong, it's cruel to take him away."

The same granola base, this time mixed with cocoa rather than peas, is scattered over an acai bowl which amps up the colour and flavours with tropical fruit and a fudgy square of brownie. As winter hits, look for hot waffles instead of chilly acai. Wagyu mince is turned into a spiced pattie, crumbed, fried and splodged with curry pickle mayo for the milk-loaf sandwich. Tapping into trends and hype can feel cynical, but Sana is more about joy, fun and a sincere welcome. Yes, there's a not-so-secret menu, but the real secret to Sana's success is that Chrun and his team are still surprised and grateful that people are seeking out the place: if you whisk it, they will come. There's table seating, but you can really channel Kyoto by sitting cross-legged on cushions in the faux temple area. One-year-old Naau is a small city cafe that does matcha every which way, including a hot, frothy pistachio version, which could be my winter winner.
