Samay Raina dresses up as a groom, asks audience to ‘stop being so sensitive' in video with Krsna and Seedhe Maut after India's Got Latent controversy. Watch
Apart from being tied to the controversial comment made on his show, comedian Samay Raina is also known for his love for music and hip-hop specifically. He has added another entry to his list of collaborations with DHH (Desi Hip-Hop) artistes with an appearance in the music video for 'Sensitive', a song performed by Krsna and rap duo Seedhe Maut. The song also references India's Got Latent and how easily the country takes offence. The song is a part of Krsna's latest mixtape 'Yours Truly', and all three rappers make fun of censorship and sensitive audiences in the country. The song starts with an audio byte of Samay from the controversial show India's Got Latent, which got shut down and removed from YouTube after it received a lot of backlash for jokes that were deemed inappropriate and vulgar. Encore ABJ, who is part of the duo Seedhe Maut, starts the song off with his verse that talks about the difference in levels of comedy that is allowed in India and the West. He points out in one of the bars that while the foreign comedians can joke about anything, Indians are too busy fighting within themselves. In the video Samay is dressed as a groom, and Krsna, Encore and Calm are all three dressed as band players from an Indian wedding. Even the name of the band that is performing at the wedding is named 'Sensitive Band.' ALSO READ: 'India's obsession with Eminem needs to stop': Kr$na talks about Indian hip-hop and his mixtape 'Yours Truly.' The trio all together sing 'Stop being so sensitive' in the chorus section while Samay dances to drum beats similar to what you hear at a wedding. The second verse is helmed by Calm, who alleges that there are many more important things that the government and authorities should be working on rather than handing out bans and citations to people speaking their minds. Krsna comes into the song posing as a news anchor and says that many news organisations would rather debate on trivial issues than actually report something worthwhile. He doubles down and states that these organisations are against the idea of true freedom, while Samay can be seen with his mouth taped shut. All four men use the music video to take jabs at the authorities for their actions regarding the India's Got Latent row. The controversy began when famous podcast host Ranveer Allahbadia asked a contestant a question which was later deemed insensitive and inappropriate. The fallout of the entire episode affected the show, the venue at which it was hosted, and many of the comedians who had made guest appearances. Samay and Ranveer were right in the middle of the storm as police cases were filed against both of them, and they experienced a lot of online bashing and personal hazing as well.

'Their Parents Have Failed': Samay Raina On Young Children Watching His Content
Last Updated: Comedian Samay Raina, after removing his YouTube show amid controversy, shares strong views on parenting and responsibility in a resurfaced podcast. After facing a wave of criticism over an episode from his YouTube show India's Got Latent, stand-up comic Samay Raina removed all episodes from the platform and promised full cooperation with authorities investigating the incident. Despite the intense backlash, Samay appears to have moved on. He recently announced a fresh lineup of international gigs, signaling a new chapter in his career. Now, a podcast from January has resurfaced, where Samay can be heard discussing the responsibilities of influencers and drawing a sharp line when it comes to what children consume online. The clip has gone viral for his strong opinions about parenting in the digital age. 'Do you think a person like me has a responsibility to not drink Coke and to not be myself? I drink Coke at home, do you think I should fake it in public places and promote drinking water instead?" he asked health content creator Revant Himatsingka, popularly known as Food Pharmer. When the podcaster replied, 'Yes, I think it will leave an impression on kids 8-10 years of age," Samay responded sharply, 'If someone as young as eight-ten years old is watching me, then their parents have failed." He added, 'When I was that age, my father would beat me if I watched television. I didn't watch television then. I never got influenced by all this and I really think he did a great job as a father. So the parents are the ones who need to be responsible and not me. I have to be myself. If I want to influence people to do something, it is just to be honest." Defending his raw, unfiltered style, the comedian continued, 'There are too many fake people in this world. Public gets depressed when they see someone so perfect, doing and saying all the right things, it attacks your confidence and you start to question yourself, 'Is there anything wrong with me?' Then comes a guy like me, just being myself, drinking Coke, saying wrong things. They be like, 'You know what? It's okay to be me, because this is who I relate to.'" Earlier this year, Samay found himself in hot water when an old episode of India's Got Latent resurfaced, featuring a disturbing question posed by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia. 'Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?" he asked a contestant. The clip triggered massive outrage, leading to multiple FIRs filed against the panelists. First Published:

In a new podcast, Samay asked fellow podcaster Food Pharmer (Revant Himatsingka), 'Do you think someone like me should avoid drinking Coke and pretend to promote only water in public?' When Food Pharmer suggested that such behavior might impact kids aged 8 to 10, Samay responded bluntly, 'If children that young are watching me, then their parents have failed.' Later, Samay revealed how his parents were very strict with the kind of content he would watch while growing up. He said, 'When I was that age, my father would beat me if I watched television. I didn't watch television then. I never got influenced by all this and I really think he did a great job as a father. So the parents are the ones who need to be responsible and not me. I have to be myself. If I want to influence people to do something, it is just to be honest. ' The comedian has been in the news for his controversy on India's Got Latent. Comedian Samay Raina, embroiled in controversy after a YouTube show episode went viral, removed all episodes and pledged cooperation with authorities. He now announces international shows, marking a career shift. Earlier, Raina's podcast comments on parental responsibility sparked debate, asserting parents should control children's viewing habits, not creators. He emphasized authenticity over filtered content, advocating for self-acceptance. Comedian Samay Raina faced intense backlash after an episode of his YouTube show India's Got Latent went viral for controversial reasons, leading him to remove all episodes from his channel. He has assured full cooperation with authorities during the ongoing investigation. Now, moving past the controversy, Samay has announced a fresh slate of international shows, signaling a new chapter in his career. Candid Take on Parental Responsibility Sparks Debate In a podcast recorded earlier this year, Samay sparked discussion with his candid take on parental responsibility and the influence of internet personalities. During a conversation about content creators' duties towards their audiences, Samay asked fellow podcaster Food Pharmer (Revant Himatsingka), 'Do you think someone like me should avoid drinking Coke and pretend to promote only water in public?' When Food Pharmer suggested that such behavior might impact kids aged 8 to 10, Samay responded bluntly, 'If children that young are watching me, then their parents have failed. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like After Losing Weight Kevin James Looks Like A Model 33 Bridges Undo ' Parents, Not Creators, Should Control What Kids Watch He further explained that when he was a child, his father strictly limited his TV watching, which kept him from being influenced by television at a young age. He emphasized that parents should take responsibility for what their children watch, rather than placing that burden on content creators like himself. According to him, staying true to oneself and promoting honesty is more important than trying to present a filtered image for the sake of young viewers. Samay expressed that in a world full of polished and perfect personas, people often feel insecure or question themselves. He believes that by being unapologetically himself—flaws and all—he offers a relatable, genuine presence that helps others feel comfortable being their true selves too. The Controversy That Sparked It All Samay Raina made headlines after a controversial episode of his YouTube show went viral for the wrong reasons. During the episode, a panelist posed a provocative question to a contestant that sparked widespread outrage. The backlash was so intense that multiple FIRs were filed against the show's panelists.
