Ibb: Handover of three water projects in Badan District to Administrative Bodies for Operation

Ibb - Saba: The Rural Water Projects Authority branch in Ibb province, in collaboration with the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit, handed over three water projects in Badan District to administrative bodies for operation. The projects included the rehabilitation and implementation of three solar-powered systems, at a cost of 41 million Yemeni riyals, funded by the Central Emergency Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development. During the handover, Majid Al-Shami, Director of the Rural Water Projects Authority branch in the province, emphasized that water projects are a priority for the province's leadership, in line with the national vision and the authority's phased plan to provide drinking water to rural areas suffering from water scarcity and the lack of surface and groundwater wells. He noted that the implementation of these service projects aims to improve water provision and alleviate citizens' hardships, highlighting that rehabilitating water projects and equipping them with solar energy systems seeks to eliminate the need for purchasing fuel, whose prices have surged due to aggression and blockade. Al-Shami affirmed the continued efforts to implement rural water projects, praising the role of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development in funding water projects that serve over 13,000 people in the targeted areas. He urged those responsible for the projects to preserve their assets, properties, revenues, to adhere to the authority's mechanisms and standards. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
