Chandrababu Naidu vs Jagan Reddy Over Party Worker's Pushpa 2 Poster

Amaravati: A poster of a dialogue from actor Allu Arjun's movie 'Pushpa 2' has triggered a row between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his predecessor YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. A worker of Mr Reddy's party, YSRCP, was arrested for showing a placard with a provocative slogan "Rapa Rapa Narukutham" (we'll chop heads one by one) during Mr Reddy's recent public rally. The poster referred to a possible YSRCP return to power after the 2029 state assembly elections. Speaking on the controversy during a press conference, Mr Reddy on Thursday said there was nothing wrong with using film dialogues. "Is it a democracy or not, that we cannot even use film dialogues? Is it wrong to do this (gestures) or do that? We are not living in a democracy?" he asked. He also claimed that the person who held the placard belonged to Mr Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP). "Maybe he couldn't tolerate the wrongdoings of his own party's leader, Chandrababu, and that's why he was talking about chopping off heads of his people," Mr Reddy quipped. Mr Naidu also reacted to the controversy and said that "criminals only work with a criminal mindset". "They are trying to just divert the public's attention," Mr Naidu, who returned to power last year, said. Mr Naidu's son and Telangana Minister Nara Lokesh also slammed Mr Reddy and said his "attitude was very dangerous for democracy". "Will you slaughter them like sheep? What does it mean that you are defending the language of your admirer? Your attitude is very dangerous for democracy," he posted on X, and tagged Mr Reddy.

Meet 92-year-old man who owns 71 hospitals, 5000 pharmacy outlets, still goes to office daily... Telugu superstar Ram Charan is his..., name is...

You can hardly take a stroll around town and not see the familiar sight of Apollo Pharmacies. Being a 24/7 operation, it has become the go-to place for everything from prescription medicines to personal care items such as shampoos, soaps, and cosmetics. But behind this omnipresence is an inspiring story. Interested in learning about how Apollo began and became a health care behemoth? Here is a glimpse into its journey. Dr. Prathap C. Reddy is the founder of India's largest hospital network, and his incredible work ethic and vision have thoroughly transformed the healthcare system of our country. At the age of 92, he is still following a regimen- he goes to his office every day at 10:00 am, and works until 5:00 pm and does this six days a week. To see his dedication, energy, and lifestyle at that age is astonishing and inspires people, demonstrating that there is no limit on passion and dedication. As an embodiment of his vision of world-class healthcare services in India, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy founded Apollo Hospitals in Chennai in 1983, and it was an audacious step in a country with hardly any private healthcare. Apollo Hospitals became a bastion for leading doctors and specialists from many prestigious hospitals in the US and UK, as well as non-resident Indian (NRI) specialists. In 1979, Dr. Prathap C. Reddy was upset by the death of a cardiac patient who was unable to have surgery because he did not have the resources to afford the necessary treatment abroad. This moment became a touchstone for Dr. Reddy. With a strong resolve to transform the system, he took the opportunity to establish Apollo Hospitals in Chennai. With backing from the government and the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, he established Apollo Hospitals in Chennai. This visionary step was a game-changer, bringing world-class cardiac care and comprehensive medical services to India. Recognized and revered globally, Dr. Prathap C Reddy was honoured with the 'Padma Vibhushan,' India's second-highest civilian award, for his unwavering pursuit of excellence in healthcare. His biography, 'Healer: Dr. Prathap Chandra Reddy and the Transformation of India,' serves as a testament to his incredible journey of healing and caring, inspiring generations to come.

On Rahul Gandhi's b'day, Jagga Reddy extends `10 lakh assistance to a cancer patient

Hyderabad: To mark senior party leader and the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's birthday, TPCC working president T Jagga Reddy on Thursday extended Rs 10 lakh financial assistance to a cancer patient, Hari Krishna Prasad, of Thallapalli village in Sangareddy constituency. Prasad has been suffering from cancer for some time now. As he comes from a poor family, Reddy provided aid for his full treatment. As Prasad was earning just Rs 13,000 per month and could not afford a costly battle against cancer, the Congress leader came forward to support Prasad, who works as an employee in a Gurukula school. He has a wife, Shailaja, a daughter studying in LKG, and a son in first grade. Prasad was diagnosed with cancer three months ago. His family has already spent lakhs on treatment. With no money left for further medical expenses, the family was left helpless. Reddy came to know about Prasad's situation through his followers. Moved by the plight, Reddy volunteered to bear the complete cost of the treatment. He handed over Rs 10 lakh assistance to the patient on Thursday. Reddy reassured Prasad and his family of his support and encouraged them to stay strong. He also promised to facilitate help through the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to cover the treatment expenses incurred so far. Prasad's family expressed heartfelt gratitude for Reddy's support.

Koraput admn initiates process to expand Jeypore airport

1 2 Koraput: In a major step toward enhancing regional air connectivity, the Koraput administration has initiated the land schedule exercise to facilitate the expansion of Jeypore airport from 2B to 3C category. The proposed upgrade will enable the airport to accommodate 72-seater aircrafts and support round-the-clock operations, unaffected by runway visual range limitations. According to sub-collector (Jeypore) A Sasya Reddy, the state commerce department has approved the airport's upgradation and over 200 acres of land will be acquired to meet the requirements. "Following instructions from the state govt, a detailed land schedule survey has been initiated to identify the coordinates and quantum of land needed for the expansion," she said. The land identified for acquisition includes areas in Banko Bija, Gagnapur and Ekamba villages. As part of the process, a social impact assessment survey will follow, along with gram sabha meetings, to record the opinions and grievances of the affected villagers. "If all procedures move forward smoothly, we are hopeful that larger aircrafts could begin operations at Jeypore airport within the next two years," Reddy added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Jeypore tehsildar Chittranjan Patnaik stated that while the exact land requirement is still under final assessment, approximately 250 to 280 acres, both private and govt land, may be acquired. The move comes after the Airports Authority of India (AAI) submitted a favourable feasibility survey report last August, supporting the airport's expansion. Under the proposed plan, the current 1,200-meter runway will be extended to 2,700 meters, with additional upgrades in safety and security infrastructure to meet higher operational standards. Jeypore airport, which began commercial operations on October 31, 2022 under the UDAN regional connectivity scheme, currently handles two nine-seater flights daily between Bhubaneswar and Jeypore and one daily flight connecting Jeypore to Visakhapatnam. "The expansion will significantly boost regional connectivity, enhance the tourism potential of the district while positioning Jeypore as a vital travel and economic hub in the state," Reddy added.
