Good Morning Britain halted by ITV star as they share devastating news
Good Morning Britain was interrupted on Thursday morning as Ranvir Singh shared some heartbreaking breaking news after a wave of Iranian missile strikes hit Israel. During Thursday's edition of Good Morning Britain, Ranvir Singh relayed some heartbreaking news. Kate Garraway and Adil Ray set the stage with discussions on the upcoming heatwave but swiftly shifted focus to Ranvir for the breaking story. Responding to her colleague, Ranvir confirmed: "Yeah, indeed, thank you so much, Kate. "Breaking news that in a new wave of Iranian missile strikes, which have hit Israel in the last few hours, a major hospital in the city of Beersheba has suffered extensive damage, and buildings have been destroyed in Tel Aviv. "Meanwhile, Donald Trump has approved plans to attack Iran but has not made final decisions on whether to go ahead." Richard Gaisford then took over, reporting live amidst the devastation in Tel Aviv, showing viewers the damage in the streets, reports the Manchester Evening News. He said: "This is the world's largest diamond trading area. The missile alert started at breakfast time this morning, and you're looking at pictures now of the Holon district of Tel Aviv." He continued to describe the harrowing scene, adding: "Extensive damage throughout this city in the centre of Israel, we heard ballistic missiles flying over our heads. "The air defence systems were in action. Certainly, it seems Iran still has the ability to target Israel with its ballistic missiles, and at this point, Israel is not able to stop all of them." During the programme, Richard informed Ranvir that the recent strikes represented a 'really significant' assault, clarifying that the destruction visible behind him resulted from an earlier attack in the week. He elaborated: "This has been developing over the last few days, and it shows really at this stage that Iran is not yet done." Speculation had been circulating that perhaps Israeli forces had neutralised most missile sites. Richard pointed out: "That certainly doesn't appear to be the case that they are still able to launch and get their missile right into the heart of Israel." Good Morning Britain is available to watch on ITVX.

GMB's Ranvir Singh styles a new hair look with Nobody's Child 'dress of summer'
The Good Morning Britain presenter is trying out a new look... Since appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020, Ranvir Singh has won herself legions of fans who are keen to find out more about her outfits and looks. Thankfully, Ranvir is happy to oblige and regularly posts the details of her go-to brands to her Instagram page after her Good Morning Britain morning hosting slots. For her most recent look, Ranvir took to her socials to credit her look to Nobody's Child– and it happens to be one of the brand's best-selling dress styles that she's sporting. Wearing the Short Sleeve Starlight Midi Dress in the dark green colourway, the presenter looks incredibly youthful in the waist-cinching number – something her fans instantly noticed. "Love this dress, it suits you soo much. You look fab," pens one, while a second asks: "Love it! Is it heavy or lightweight for summer though?" It's a good question, and the answer is that this summer-ready update of the classic Starlight dress is perfect for both warm days and cooler evenings. Made from a lightweight, breathable fabric, it's designed to keep you cool and comfortable when temperatures rise. Soft gathering, gently puffed sleeves, and a neat row of covered buttons add some pretty detailing, while the panelled waist gives a very flattering fit. The A-line skirt skims the body without clinging, and with practical pockets and easy styling potential, it's a piece that takes very little styling skill to make look good. You can pick up Ranvir's dress for £89 in the dark green colourway. However, if you prefer brighter or neutral tones, there are 22 other shades and prints you can pick this dress up in to suit your taste. Our head of fashion Zoe owns the gingham colourway and wears it in every occasion she can! However, if you're looking for a look-for-less, you can also shop & Other Stories' Puff-Sleeve Midi Dress in Green, on sale for £49. While a lot of the focus is on Ranvir's enviable figure in the Nobody's Child piece, plenty of other commenters have also spotted something different about the star: her hair. It seems she's switching up her usual straight or blow-dried lengths for a youthful tousled, mermaid-like wave, which suits her to a tee. Celeb pal Katie Piper muses in the comments: "Love the hair." Another follower writes: "Loved your hair this morning - you look beautiful," with a third saying a similar: "Your hair looks so good!" If you're keen to recreate Ranvir's hairstyle, ghd just launched a brand new tool to make it very easy. The ghd Wave Triple Barrel Waver, £159, creates effortlessly tousled styles with a silky finish. Powered by the brand's advanced styling tech, the tool encourages enhanced shine, defence from flyaways and crease-free mermaid waves. We wouldn't be surprised if this was the tool used on the star's hair!

ITV Good Morning Britain segment pulled off air as Ranvir Singh forced to stop sweary report
ITV GMB's Ranvir Singh had to step in and cut the report. ITV Good Morning Britain had to cut one of its live reports today after explicit language could be heard in the background. During Ranvir Singh's news segment she was joined by the North America correspondent Noel Phillips, who was discussing the national guard troops in LA for the ICE protests. However in the background of the reports, the protestors in LA were heard using a number of explicit words as Donald Trump sends another 2,000 National Guards and 700 Marines to LA on the fourth day of unrest, writes The Mirror. As the report rolled, it was quickly cut as Ranvir stepped in saying: "I'm just going to interrupt that - I think we could hear some profanities being spoken. That's my understanding of what's going on there near Noel and we can't really broadcast that at quarter past eight in the morning. We're going to try to get back to him." Fans took to social media to talk about the on air mishap, one fan penned: "Who would think it be a good idea to be in the middle of the protesters that are angry…" The moment comes after Noel opened up about being shot with a rubber bullet while covering the chaos live from Los Angeles on Monday, leading to his need for medical treatment. Susanna asked Noel about the incident, she said: "You found yourself in the line of fire yesterday, didn't you? Just before your report at eight o'clock. "We had no idea at the time. We've seen a number of reporters, in fact you reported on one yesterday morning of a photographer who had been hit, what happened to you?" Speaking about the incident, Noel said: "Susanna and Richard, just 10 minutes before coming on air yesterday, I was on the floor talking to several protesters. I was on the floor because it was the best place to be, given the fact that the situation around us was so volatile, officers were obviously chasing protestors on the streets." He further described the moment of impact, saying: "As I was laying on the floor, I felt as though an enormous ton of bricks had fallen on my arm. I realised, within about 20 to 30 seconds, that a rubber bullet had grazed the top layer of my skin and had caused a bit of injury. "My arm was swollen, I went to the doctors, got it checked out, it wasn't broken at all. But, it was swollen, it still is swollen and it's in a bandage at the moment. "It's pretty surreal to be hit, but relieved as it could have been worse. These rubber bullets are less lethal than a bullet but they can kill you or seriously injury you."
