'Going back to my roots': Aussie supermodel Jess Hart says she wants to raise her children, Baby-Rae and Glorious, in Ballarat after decades overseas

Australian supermodel Jess Hart has revealed she plans to return home and raise her children in Australia, after spending more than two decades living abroad. The 39-year-old, who was born in Sydney and raised in Melbourne, has lived overseas since she was a teenager, first moving to Paris at age 15 to pursue her modelling career after winning Dolly magazine's Model Search in 2000. Hart's career took off quickly, with high-profile campaigns for brands including Victoria's Secret, Guess, L'Oréal, Louis Vuitton and Max Mara. She's graced the pages of Vogue and Sports Illustrated, and called cities like London, New York and Los Angeles home. But now, with four-year-old daughter Baby-Rae, three-year-old son Glorious, and 11-year-old stepdaughter Wren in tow, Hart says she's preparing to lay down roots back in Victoria. "I want my children to be half-Australian and half-American- not just Americans with Australian passports," she told Harper's Bazaar. "I want them to be immersed in Australian culture and grow up the way we did." The supermodel, known for her cheeky gap-toothed grin, is reportedly eyeing a permanent base near Ballarat in regional Victoria- the same area where her late mother Rae's family once lived. Rae tragically died in January 2023 after a battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a neurodegenerative disorder formerly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. "It would make my mum so happy," Hart said. "[The region is] where her family had homes. I'm going back to my roots, my heritage." She also revealed she's currently exploring schooling options that would allow the family to split their time between both countries. While it's unclear whether Hart and her longtime partner, American NASCAR driver James Kirkham, are still together, she's made no secret of her desire to reconnect with Australia. In September, Hart starred in a Qantas campaign alongside First Nations model Charlee Fraser, with creative direction from Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin. When asked what she misses most about home, Hart quickly responded: "My friends and family." More recently, the supermodel shared a string of sweet snaps from her trip back to Australia on Instagram, including time spent at Sydney's Crown with her children. "Three little monkeys…. Just busy creating winter memories in Australia," she captioned the post. She also made an appearance at Australian Fashion Week in May, opening the Bianca Spender show to the delight of fashion insiders.

Fans not happy about Addison Rae's venues for Aus tour

Don't miss out on the headlines from Music Tours. Followed categories will be added to My News. Addison Rae fans have been left frustrated by the American pop star's small venues for her Australian tour. Disgruntled punters complained they were stuck in queues of more than 50,000 people vying to buy the 2000 to 2500 tickets available for each of her six shows. The TikTok queen's debut album Addison debuted at No. 2 on the ARIA charts and despite her enormous popularity here, she has booked theatres rather than arenas for her November tour. It is most likely she couldn't secure the bigger venues which have capacity of about 5000 people such as Sydney's Hordern Pavilion, which hosted the first big gigs by Tate Macrae and Gracie Abrams, as November is the peak touring month in Australia. Addison Rae debuted at No. 2 with her debut record. Picture: Getty. Huge demand during the pre-sales for the Addison tour, her debut global headlining run, prompted Frontier Touring to add second shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. '52k in queue for sydney, idk where everyone came from omg,' noted on fan on the Frontier Touring Instagram channel during the pre-sale on Thursday. A Melbourne punter said The Forum venue, which has a standing room capacity of 2000 people, was too small considering the size of her fanbase in Australia. Rae, who has more than 88 million followers on TikTok, with over 5.8 billion likes, has exploded on the global pop charts over the past year courtesy of co-starring on the Charli XCX track Von Dutch and her own breakout hit Diet Pepsi. 'I'm not sure what genius decided The Forum was the best venue. Probably could fill Rod Laver Arena more than once. Easy,' he wrote. Rae blew up on TikTok before launching her pop career. Picture: Getty. Several ticket buyers also complained that the venues in Melbourne and Brisbane restricted tickets to punters over 18 years, shutting out her younger fans. Only Sydney's Enmore Theatre shows are open to all ages. 'A bigger venue that is not 18+ would be appreciated,' wrote one fan. There was an interesting difference in the ticket pricing for the Melbourne and Brisbane shows compared with Sydney for the tour. General admission tickets for the Melbourne gigs and two concerts at Brisbane's Fortitude Music are $99, while Sydney fans can choose between standing for $99 or a seat for $149. Rae heads to Australia on tour in November. Picture: Supplied 'Why am I paying $50 more to sit up the back?' opined an Addison diehard. The virtual queues are predicted to be even more hectic on Friday when general tickets go on sale from 10am (local time). Rae performs at the Forum in Melbourne on November 11 and 12 (Ticketek), Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall (Ticketmaster) on November 14 and 15 and Sydney's Enmore Theatre (Ticketek) on November 17 and 18. TikTok superstar Addison Rae reveals Australian tour details

Hot on the heels of her critically acclaimed debut album, TikTok star turned pop diva Addison Rae will bring her hyper-feminine it-girl hits to Australia in November. The 24-year-old will perform in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney between November 11 and 17 as part of her first-ever world tour – The Addison Tour – which will also see her travel across North America and Europe before the end of the year. The pop star will perform tracks from her debut album Addison, which was released earlier this month and landed at No.4 on the Billboard Top 200 and No.2 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Her music has been widely praised, with critics applauding her ability to nod to pop icons like Madonna and Kylie Minogue, yet still establish her own 'hazy, twilight, cosmopolitan cool' sound. Rae's rapid ascent to pop stardom has been surprising to some given her origins on TikTok. Before releasing her album, she was largely known for posting cute choreographed dance routines on social media – videos that were so well-received, they earned her over 88.5 million TikTok followers. She was also known as Kourtney Kardashian's friend, and even featured in some episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. However, the tides began to turn once she released her EP AR in August 2023, which featured none other than Brat Summer queen Charli XCX. From there, she appeared on stage alongside Charli and Aussie pop prince Troye Sivan, and even featured on one of Charli's tracks (even if you're not a fan of dance-pop, you've still likely heard Rae's piercing scream at the beginning of Von Dutch Remix). This catapulted Rae (who was born in Louisiana, just two hours away from the hometown of Britney Spears) from ring lights to stage lights, and led her to release a string of mega-successful singles like Diet Pepsi and Aquamarine, the former of which became her first song to hit the Billboard Hot 100. Since releasing her album on June 6, Rae has been described as the 'new pop powerhouse' and 'pop music's newest it girl'. No stranger to the camera, she has also performed several times on-screen, including in Netflix's He's All That and Eli Roth's horror film Thanksgiving, which also starred Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy). She was also recently cast in the R-rated live-action hybrid Animal Friends opposite A-list actors like Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Dan Levy and Aubrey Plaza.
