Shoppers rave about 'very quiet' bladeless fan perfect for the warm days
The humid weather has taken over but as most Irish homes lack air conditioning, residents often resort to swinging windows wide open or making a mad dash to buy fans once the mercury soars. Now might be a good time to prep for the hotter days by snagging a fan before things get too sticky. Amazon's on it with the 4.6-star-rated Pro Breeze® Silent Bladeless Portable Tower Fan up for grabs at €162.51. The fan's portability means you can lug it from room to room, chasing down those particularly hot spots. It's a game-changer for the bedroom when the heat messes with your snooze, plus customers say it's hushed enough not to drown out your telly. With six speed options, you can crank it up as the temperature does, reports the Express. A content customer shared their thoughts on the Pro Breeze fan, saying: "This is the second one I have purchased. I liked the grey one I bought for my living room so much, I bought this white one for my bedroom. On the low speed, which is very good, you can hear very little noise. (I have great hearing.) And it did not affect the volume of my TV which is not up very loud to begin with." A satisfied customer shared: "I love this fan so much, I purchased a second one for my bedroom. I got the first one last summer for the living room, and I was really impressed, in the past I have used the fans that have a blade which were ok but not very good at keeping me cool, when the third one stopped working I looked into these types of fans, I researched all of them on Amazon and read reviews and decided on this one and can honestly say I am over the moon with it." Yet, another customer noted a drawback regarding the noise level: "As a fan this is great, easily as cooling as a Dyson or bigger more expensive brand, even on low settings you can feel it. The instructions are easy to follow, the remote is easy to use. It's a little chunky not massively but there's definitely more streamlined versions out there. It's not deafeningly loud but you can hear it as it's not silent either, I do think it's a great fan for the money though, I would definitely buy again." One person highlighted a gripe with the remote: "Remote is a bit rubbish as has to be in a specific position to get signal across, which is particularly difficult while the fan oscillates, other than that the fan is top notch." Yet another shopper expressed contentment, saying: "An excellent unit, it was very quiet in the bedroom whilst delivering a very good breeze." Amazon slashes £50 off 'silent but powerful' Shark fan in time for weekend heatwave
Get prepared for the sticky summer days with a great quality fan There's a heatwave coming. Expect hot, sticky nights and airless days - or invest in a fan and say hello to a cool breeze, whatever the weather is doing outside. Amazon is selling the 4.5-starred Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Cordless Fan for £99, down from £149.99. That's £50 off the RRP. The fan can be used indoors or outdoors, thanks to its portable and cordless design. It's also rainproof, so if it gets left outside by accident, it shouldn't cause too much damage. Handily, it's super quiet, so the telly or radio can remain on without a whirring fan interfering. Elsewhere, Currys has the Dyson Cool Tower Fan for £269.99. It is pricier, but it is a Dyson, so pretty stylish. And has 10 different speeds, depending on how severe the heat is. Meanwhile, Debenhams has the Pro Breeze 32" Bladeless Tower Fan and Air Purifier, which is up for £94.99. It purifies and cools, and oscillates, meaning it can cool a full room easily. One customer said of the Shark FlexBreeze: 'This fan is ingenious. How much money have we all wasted looking for a fan that was supposed to be silent? This pretty much concludes that quest. This fan is all I ever wanted. When Shark said it's silent. It's silent. Full stop. I only just unboxed it, but it does all it says on the tin, but better than all other fans. My Dyson is going into the cupboard. It's well designed and looks and feels solid.' Another said, 'This fan is amazing. When I took it out of the box, I pressed the on button to test it. I continued unpacking it, thinking it had no charge, as I could not hear anything. The fan was pointing away from me, so I never felt the breeze. It turned out that it was on and so quiet that I could not hear it. I had it on all last night and slept all the way through for the first time in a long time. Brilliant fan!' A third added: 'Love the Shark fan range. Have several different ones and all are robust and good quality. Would recommend.' However, one shopper said: 'Although not the windiest of fans it's more than adequate for the job. Being on a small tripod and being cordless allows for it to be placed wherever you need it. The remote control works well, tried it from out in the hall and through doors with no problem. All functions on the remote work as intended. You have to manually adjust the angle up or down whilst the oscillation is taken care of by the machine. It's quiet in operation and at higher speeds you hear the airline rather than the noise of the fan spinning.' For those dreading the hot weather that's on its way, the Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Cordless Fan could be a game changer.

Dyson launches bladeless desk fan with brand-new sleep mode function
The tech giant has launched a new fan ahead of the summer Leading tech brand Dyson has launched a new desk fan in time for summer. The Cool CF1 desk fan is priced at £249.99 and has been designed with a new sleep mode feature, ideal for users who have difficulty sleeping during heatwaves. Dyson's Cool CF1 desk fan promises relief from heat in as little as five seconds. The bladeless fan aims to deliver quiet motion even when it is on full power, so users who have it on while they work will not be distracted by any noise. It also has a night mode function, which lets out 'whisper-quiet' air so that users can stay cool and not be interrupted by noise while sleeping. Dyson says it has a range of oscillation angles and manual tilt. Plus, it delivers an airflow of 370 litres per second, with no 'choppy air'. Thanks to its simplistic design, Dyson's Cool CF1 desk fan is also easy to clean, as it doesn't have any grilles to remove or dusty blades. To clean, Dyson recommends wiping the loop amplifier with a cloth. Dyson's Cool CF1 desk fan is at the higher end of the market price-wise, which can be a potential drawback for hopeful customers. There are cheaper alternatives on the market, including a Russell Hobbs Bladeless Tower desk fan at a more affordable price of £29.99. The cooling system has three modes, including breeze and blast functions for very hot days. The black fan also has built-in ambient lighting, and connects via USB - plug into a laptop, using the included USB Type-C cable, to charge it. Pro Breeze is another leading brand for fans and cooling devices, and a large number of its products are sold on Amazon, including this Desktop Mini Tower Fan. At 13-inches it costs £28.04 (down from £34.99), and has three speeds, automatic oscillation, and a quiet cooling mode. Because Dyson's Cool CF1 desk fan has just been launched, there are no reviews available for the product. However, potential shoppers can find many general reviews of Dyson's customer service on Trustpilot. One Dyson vacuum owner called about an issue with their device, writing: "Had reason to speak to Dyson customer support today as problem with cordless vacuum, spoke to very helpful chap called Arris, who resolved my issue in a matter of minutes and arranged for replacement part under warranty. Working in customer service myself, we can all take a leaf out of this guy's book. Top class service, no fuss, just sorted the problem." However, another shopper wasn't as pleased with their customer service experience. They said: "Love my Dyson, but the customer service was disappointing. "My next day delivery never arrived and I wasn't informed or apologised to. A quick glance at reviews shows this seems to be a common issue." But another left a glowing review. Amazon bladeless fan that 'easily cools' is a 'great Dyson alternative'
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Ireland has enjoyed a rather pleasant spring, with temperatures soaring above 20C in some parts. And as we bid farewell to spring and welcome the onset of summer in June, there's optimism that the balmy weather will persist. For those on the hunt for a new fan, it might be worth considering a bladeless model. Bladeless fans have seen a surge in popularity in recent years, primarily because they don't accumulate dust like their traditional counterparts. This makes them easier to maintain and more suitable for individuals who are prone to allergies. Dyson is arguably at the forefront of this market with its Purifier Cool Gen1, a dual-function cooling and air purifying system. The fan captures and traps pollutants, offers ten settings and is controlled by a remote. However, with a hefty price tag of £349.99, it sits at the higher end of the market, potentially out of reach for many households. (Image: Amazon) Pro Breeze is another top contender in the fan market, offering devices that are more moderately priced, thus appealing to a wider consumer base. For example, its Bladeless Tower Fan is priced at €169, and numerous customers have compared its performance and quality favourably to Dyson's, reports the Mirror. The Tower Fan by Pro Breeze utilises 'Air Stream Cooling Technology', which enhances cooling power to distribute a stream of cool air throughout rooms. It features large 4mm vents, which prove handy during heatwaves. In terms of reviews, the Pro Breeze model from Amazon received more than 700 ratings. One customer described it as: "This fan has proven to be a great Dyson alternative so far. I brought it for my son, who sleeps in a bed tent (he's autistic), and it helps cool him down during the high heat." This user noted that is was quiet saying: "It's not that loud, turns itself off, and has an easy-to-use touch-button panel on the front that my son knows how to use. So, it's not at all complicated." In contrast, a second consumer gave the product 2 stars, having found the fan noise excessive stating: "This fan is so loud I have to turn my TV up! I have a cheap one that is quieter and just as powerful. Sorry, I can't recommend this as it's too loud, definitely not ultra quiet." A third buyer rated the fan highly saying: "Probably the best fan I've ever owned. I went through quite a lot of cheap fans and I've had Dyson ones. But this is by far the best I've seen, especially for bladeless." They went on to say: "It does have 6 speed settings. The first 2 settings are definitely kind of quiet, so pretty good for those who hate sounds and have a decent amount of air." And concluded: "The 6th setting is really powerful a strong wind but sounds almost like a vacuum cleaner but not as bad. Still I wouldn't think it's ideal to sleep with the 6th setting unless you do like the sound of the fan like me. "The size is good usually with most fans it can barely reach the top of my bed but this goes above the height of it which is really good. 5/5 definitely recommend." A fourth was equally positive: "As a fan this is great, easily as cooling as a Dyson or bigger more expensive brand, even on low settings you can feel it. The instructions are easy to follow, the remote is easy to use. "It's a little chunky not massively but there's definitely more streamlined versions out there. It's not deafeningly loud, but you can hear it as it's not silent either. I do think it's a great fan for the money, though. I would definitely buy again."
