Rebel Wilson's 'Pitch Perfect 4' prediction makes Anna Camp giddy

We've got some aca-awesome news for "Pitch Perfect" fans: Rebel Wilson is practically warming up for a fourth chapter, as she's convinced there's more in store for the Bellas. Wilson told The Guardian that Universal is working on scripts for another verse in the song that is the "Pitch Perfect" franchise. 'You're basically announcing 'Pitch Perfect 4' will be happening … at some point," Anna Camp teases Wilson while promoting "Bride Hard" in an interview with USA TODAY. The action comedy (in theaters now) reunites the two "Pitch Perfect" stars. In 2017's "Pitch Perfect 3," the a cappella singing group − also comprised of Anna Kendrick, BrittanySnow and Hailee Steinfeld − reunited to perform at an overseas USO show. 'I don't know," Wilson tells USA TODAY. "I have a feeling it could shoot next year, but we'll see.' 'Oh, my God, I hope you're right!" an elated Camp responds. "That'd be exciting.' 'The fans have been so eager for it," Wilson says. "It's had such a great life on streaming platforms like Netflix. There's so many people around the world who are fans of these movies and want to see us, and we're all legit real-life friends. We all want to come back and do it. I guess it's just the question of the script.' The story is also key for Camp as well. 'If Kay Cannon (writes) up an amazing script," Camp says, "we'd all be there with bells on ready to sing our little hearts out.'

The role marks Sydney's first major TV move and previously speaking about landing the job, the soap star, who is 23 but playing 16-year-old Betsy, told the Manchester Evening News and other press that she originally applied for two smaller roles at the beginning of 2024. However, two weeks later, she was invited to audition for the role of teenager Betsy, which she was given after a two-month audition process. And taking to social media, it appears Sydney didn't always get support for her acting dreams. She shared a video on TikTok in which she could be seen at her former job, in supermarket Tesco. Across the clip, a message read: "And the customer service assistant is studying 'acting'." The video then switched the show a string of pictures from her time in Corrie so far, including her very own cast card, standing in front of the Rovers Return and attending the British Soap Awards. Alongside the post, set to Billy Joel's 'Piano Man', Sydney wrote: "Prove em wrong kiddo. Never let anyone tell you, you can't reach for the stars!!!!" And the support quickly came flooding in. Another fan added: "You should be so proud of yourself as we all are of you Sydney !!! You deserve the world and more." Sydney previously told how her employers got the news of her Corrie gig before her family. She got the call about landing the role of Betsy while preparing to settle down and watch Pitch Perfect 3 with her flatmates. She previously told the Manchester Evening News: "I got a phone call, ran into the corner of a flat and was like, 'It's going to be a no, keep watching. Just let me have my moment!' "But my agent phoned me and said, 'Go hand in your notice!' I was doing six days a week at Tesco which is quite the career change!" On telling her parents, Sydney admitted: "I did go to Tesco and hand my notice in first!" before sharing how her dad was concerned she'd quit her job and whether she'd need a reference from the supermarket chain. She added: "They were overjoyed. They always say they don't know where I got my creative bones from because they're in completely different careers... I could not have asked for a better first opportunity. They're by biggest fans. They're over the moon. I had my first little picture in a magazine and they've got about ten of them."

Hailee Steinfeld Reflects on Why She Took a 'Bit of a Break From Music'

Yara Sameh Hailee Steinfeld is opening up about why she took a break from making music. The actress-singer, known for her hit songs 'Starving,' 'Love Myself,' and 'Most Girls,' recently told Collider that while she's enjoyed focusing on her acting career in recent years, she is also missing the music scene. 'I had taken a bit of a break from music, which was a very difficult decision to make, but I wanted to focus on my acting and was happy to be doing that,' she said. 'It goes without saying, but…music is a love of mine and a huge passion and something that has played a very strong role in my life in more ways than one, and having had the opportunity to make music through the years of my own is something I will never take for granted.' Steinfeld, who has previously starred in "Pitch Perfect 3" and "True Grit", the latter of which scored her a best supporting actress Oscar nomination, released her last single, 'SunKissing,' in 2023. However, she shared that she is excited to return to music, beginning with her new song 'Dangerous' on the soundtrack for her new movie "Sinners". 'I felt so, so lucky to be a part of a movie like Sinners, where music is such a huge part of it. This is the dream — for me to be acting in a film that is so driven and moved by music,' she added. 'I was able to open the door again to work on something that I'm very, very, very excited about and can't wait to share more with people. It's been a long time, and I didn't realize how much I missed it.' "Sinners", directed by Ryan Coogler and also starring Michael B. Jordan, follows twin brothers who return to their hometown to start again after trying to leave their troubled lives behind, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
