Great Dane's Tender Determination to Keep Baby Safe on Couch Is Too Sweet
Great Dane's Tender Determination to Keep Baby Safe on Couch Is Too Sweet originally appeared on Parade Pets. Babies and dogs often have a special connection. Maybe it's the vulnerability of infants that pooches feel they need to protect, or it could be the curiosity and joy babies get out of everyday discoveries that resonates with dogs. This black Great Dane clearly cares for his human baby brother. The two seemed inseparable in this TikTok from @gemmini2313. The baby boy was enjoying some tummy time on the long black couch as the Great Dane was sprawled out with his head fully rested on the child. The two looked completely comfortable and acted as though this is an everyday occurence. "Look at you guys... you're so cute!" the mom of the two exclaimed as the baby let out a sweet sound. "Tell me you live in a house full of boys without telling me you live in a house full of boys," the onscreen text joked. The colossal canine appeared to be protecting the baby from falling off the couch. He seemed to know how easily the little boy could roll off and made sure it wouldn't happen on his watch. The heartwarming scene showed the strong bond between the two Danes are known as the gentle giants of canines. They make wonderful family pets and are very good with children of all ages. However, a Great Dane should never be left alone with a child since they could unintentionally cause an injury due to their massive size and strength. This breed also should be trained not to play rough because they can easily overpower a person or another smaller dog. That being said, these mammoth dogs are total love bugs. Great Danes are highly social, loving, and gentle, and thrive on socialization. They are also patient and highly intelligent, making them excellent candidates for training. Great Danes rank as the tallest dogs in the world, with males reaching up to 32 inches at the shoulder and weighing in at a massive 175 pounds. Females are a bit smaller, measuring up to 30 inches and 140 pounds. Despite their tremendous size, Great Danes carry themselves with grace and an almost regal gait. This Great Dane looks like he has a bestie for life with his baby brother. 🐶🐾🐾 Great Dane's Tender Determination to Keep Baby Safe on Couch Is Too Sweet first appeared on Parade Pets on Jun 20, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jun 20, 2025, where it first appeared.

Backpacking Maine Coon Uses Enormous Wooly Mammoth Paws to Warn Bro of Smackdown
Backpacking Maine Coon Uses Enormous Wooly Mammoth Paws to Warn Bro of Smackdown originally appeared on Parade Pets. Siblings will always find a way to irritate each other, especially when Mom and Dad have their backs turned. The old "I'm not touching you" while waving a digit in the other's face is classic and a regular go-to when forced to spend "quality" time together. Maine Coon bros Jimmy and Beaks ride the fine line between playing and fighting when joining the parents on a backpacking adventure, but only because neither wants to get caught, scolded, and the reason all the fun ended in the first place. But Beaks found a loophole, proving sibling rivalry never dies. This video is the epitome of "tell me you have a sibling without telling me," and the pair crushed it. The way Beaks uses that paw, the size of a human foot, is enough to threaten Jimmy within an inch of his life — except he, too, has humongous, wooly mammoth bear claw paws that he could use to fight back if he wanted! Play fighting is the game of choice for the Maine Coon brothers. It doesn't matter where they are or what's going on; if the mood strikes, the claws are coming out and floof will be shed! The boys do get along every now and then, and outside of usual sibling antics, they're really well-behaved kitties. Hiking, backpacking, hanging with the fam — whatever it is, they're fully in. I've never seen a more worldly duo. Even when dressed to the nines in the finest, freshest new styles, Beaks and Jimmy can't help but start some beef. It's a rite of passage to have these sorts of interactions with your brother, so they don't skip a single chance to do it — while wearing the cutest little sweater and puffy coat! Affectionately called the "skibbidi bap," these two have perfected the art of war, at least when the war is just being in the same vicinity! If you'll notice, there's even a rage-filled look of brotherly annoyance right before Jimmy's smackdown. It's such a mood. Future smackdowns are inevitable and it's a sign the two love each other. When it comes to siblings, love isn't so much a verb that has to be shown in sweet ways. In fact, sometimes the more arguing, fighting, skibbidi bapping there is, the more each feels that love! 🐶🐾🐾 Backpacking Maine Coon Uses Enormous Wooly Mammoth Paws to Warn Bro of Smackdown first appeared on Parade Pets on Jun 19, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jun 19, 2025, where it first appeared.

Maine Coon Cat's Loving Kisses for Tiny Kitten Will Warm Anyone's Heart
Maine Coon Cat's Loving Kisses for Tiny Kitten Will Warm Anyone's Heart originally appeared on Parade Pets. You don't actually have to be a parent to give Mom or Dad-level love. One Maine Coon offers us a sweet reminder that going out of your way to make a new little one feel special is almost always worth the effort. Take a look at this heartwarming video uploaded to TikTok that shows a stunning Maine Coon giving plenty of kisses to an adorable kitten. We can't get enough of these two! How sweet are they? My favorite part is when this Maine Coon places a paw on the kitten's head as if to say, "Stay still, I'm going to fix your hair!" Then she proceeds to lick and clean the little one like a pro. I also love the way the kitten leans into this lovefest and looks up so adoringly at the older cat. We can almost hear that kitty's thoughts, "Wow, thanks, I really needed this!"Viewers adore seeing this pair together. One wrote, "So sweet." Another added, "Aw, so adorable." 🐶🐾🐾Is it more than a tender moment between these two? One viewer suspects it's perhaps a hygiene issue, suggesting, "That baby needs a bath." It's very kind to see this bigger kitty take the little one under her wing, so to speak, and offer some grooming tips. Maine Coon cats are known for their over-the-top size. Males typically weigh between 18 and 22 pounds, while females are slightly smaller at 12 to 15 pounds. It certainly seems like they have big hearts as well. This breed is recognized for having affectionate nature, making them true gentle giants. Based on other videos posted to this account, it looks like this kitty is a foster. Maybe this loving Maine Coon can sense that the little one needs some TLC after coming out of their last living situation. I don't know if this Maine Coon has any kittens of her own, but clearly, she's a natural! I hope these two get to spend lots more time together because they are a darling duo, and I'd love to see how their relationship blossoms. Spicy Orange Cat Goes Full WWE on Dish Towel with Another Cat Pictured on It
Spicy Orange Cat Goes Full WWE on Dish Towel with Another Cat Pictured on It originally appeared on Parade Pets. Cats can be such weird little creatures. Between chasing imaginary shadows, making the bizarre "eck-eck-eck" sound at the squirrels outside, and falling asleep in the bathroom sink, if you're a cat parent, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about. One pet parent who probably knows what I mean is the one who cares for the hysterical Orange Cat in the clip below, who decides to "squabble up" to its new mortal enemy in the house. Which is a dish towel with a picture of an Orange Cat on it. This Orange Cat has decided there can only be two orange kitties per household, and this other orange feline, even though it's just a dish towel with a picture of the "third" orange kitty on it, does not belong. He ain't having it.I'm a cat mama to two orange kitties and both of them are just as unhinged as the one beefing with the dish towel above. Orange cats always gotta be doing the most about everything. If you're a fan of these types of cats, here's another clip of these two sweeties doing another Orange Cat practice: sleeping and cuddling in a cardboard box. And if you'd like to see a video of them wrestling, which took a very NSFW (not safe for work) turn, well, don't say I didn't warn you. That's some pretty extreme Orange Cat behavior. Even though a lot of us parents of orange kitties truly believe that these cats are more unhinged than other types of felines, the website Kinship claims there is no truth to this and says, "Orange Cat behavior' is the idea that Orange Cats are more social and playful than cats of other colors. There is no scientific evidence that Orange Cats behave differently than other cats. Factors such as breed and environment have a larger impact on a cat's behavior than coat color. Because of genetics, Orange Cats are more likely to be male than female." Don't try telling that to the Orange kitty above, though! 🐶SIGN UP to get 'pawsitivity' delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾 Spicy Orange Cat Goes Full WWE on Dish Towel with Another Cat Pictured on It first appeared on Parade Pets on Jun 17, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jun 17, 2025, where it first appeared.

Golden Retriever Who's Totally Fed Up With Her Puppies Has Moms Feeling Seen
Golden Retriever Who's Totally Fed Up With Her Puppies Has Moms Feeling Seen originally appeared on Parade Pets. All moms have had "those days" where you feel pulled in a million different directions. One child needs a note for school, another wants you to watch them do a cartwheel, and one just skinned their knee. I'm sure mothers all over the world have longed for a clone every now and then to help them out and maybe get a break. Same goes for canine moms. Dog mamas have massive demands on them from a full litter of pups that are all the same age and at the same level of neediness. Imagine having to feed six kids at once! That's what Parker the Golden Retriever is dealing with in this relatable TikTok from @parkersgoldenlife. Parker was lying on her side as six adorable puppies (there could have been more - it's hard to tell!) crawled all over her for food and attention. The mama dog was completely calm with her kids yet looked like she was in dire need of some alone time. "When you're having a bad day, just remember this girl's is always worse," the onscreen text joked. "Just watch her practicing her breathing exercises." Her pups continued hoisting themselves on their mom, oblivious to Parker's inner wish for space. The video concluded with the gorgeous Golden lifting her face in the air as if trying to get in one good, cleansing breath to relax. Thankfully, it seems that Parker does take some time for herself. In a previous TikTok, the pooch parent was slowly drinking from the outside water bowl, clearly not in a rush, while her pups were all scurrying around the door. "Just a reminder to put your own oxygen mask on first," the onscreen text read, sharing a classic tip that moms have to take care of themselves in order to take care of their kids. Parents usually have endless to-do lists, which makes it easy to overlook self-care. We're on duty 24/7 in those very early days of infancy, yet as children — and puppies – get older, gradually encouraging their independence is beneficial for their growth and a parent's well-being. Parker looks like she's a wonderful mom! 🐶🐾🐾 Golden Retriever Who's Totally Fed Up With Her Puppies Has Moms Feeling Seen first appeared on Parade Pets on Jun 15, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jun 15, 2025, where it first appeared.
