New PS Plus PS2 Classic Comes With PS5 Trophies
The latest Premium June 2025 classic game comes with PS5 trophies at launch. PS2's has gone live along with the rest of the June catalog, revealing a total of 26 trophies including Platinum. At the time of this writing, we haven't spotted a PS4 trophy list, but we expect to see an identical list soon. Much like other PS Plus classics, Deus Ex: The Conspiracy comes with a fairly straightforward trophy list. Most of the trophies are earned by simply playing the game and completing missions, while the remaining are rewarded to players for basic tasks like picking locks 25 times and activating 10 augmentations at the same time. We're not sure why the PS4 trophy list hasn't appeared on the servers yet as it's unusual for both PS5 and PS4 lists to not go live at the same time. However, there hasn't been an instance where the last-gen platform was left out, so we're pretty confident that the trophies will appear in due course. As a reminder, Deus Ex: The Conspiracy is also available to purchase from the PS Store without a PS Plus subscription. New PS Plus Premium PS2 Game Leaked for PS5, PS4
A new PS2 game has been rated for PS5 and PS4, signaling its inclusion in an upcoming lineup. Legacy of Kain: Defiance is set to be the last game in the series to join modern consoles, completing the entire set from 1996 to 2003. Sony hasn't officially announced Legacy of Kain: Defiance's inclusion in PS Plus, but Gematsu spotted a new PS5, PS4 rating for the game on Taiwan rating board's official website. This is typically how upcoming classics leak. Those who aren't subscribed to PS Plus Premium will be able to purchase Legacy of Kain: Defiance via the PS Store. We'll confirm the price once the listing goes live. As for when the game will join PS Plus, we can't say for sure right now. There have been cases where classics were rated for PS5 and PS4 months before they joined the Premium catalog. New PS5 RPG IP Is 50% Off on PS Store for 1 More Day
The PS Store always has some great deals on some of the best PS4 and PS5 games. This includes this new IP from Don't Nod and Focus Entertainment. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is currently 50% off on the PS Store. That brings the price down to $29.99 instead of its typical $59.99 price tag. Players will have to act very fast if they want to take advantage of this deal. The offer ends on June 12 at 2:59 a.m. ET. 'New Eden, 1695. Antea Duarte and Red Mac Raith are lovers and Banishers, ghost-hunters who vowed to protect the living from the threat of lingering ghosts and specters,' reads the game's description. 'Following a disastrous last mission, Antea is fatally wounded, becoming one of the spirits she loathes. In the haunted wilds of North America, the couple desperately searches for a way to liberate Antea from her new plight.' Players who end up liking Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden can get some costume DLC for less than $5. Specifically, the Wanderer Set DLC is just $3.99 on the PS Store. When Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden launched early last year for PS5, it was met with somewhat favorable reception. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it received an average score of 78 across 68 critic reviews. Although Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is just one of many games developed by Don't Nod. One of its most recent releases, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, is available for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers at no additional cost. It also revealed its next game, Aphelion, during this year's Xbox Games Showcase. This includes these two PlayStation exclusives, which some consider the best the company has to offer. The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 are currently discounted on the PS Store. The first entry is available at a 58% discount, while the second is available at a 20% discount. This brings the prices down to $29.39 and $39.99 respectively. Players who want to take advantage of these deals will want to act fast. The offers end on June 12 at 2:59 a.m. ET. As pointed out on the PS5 subreddit, buying TLOU Part 1 and Part 2 separately right now is actually cheaper than purchasing the recently released The Last of Us Complete, which bundles both games together. Specifically, buying separately costs about $70, while purchasing the bundle costs $99.99. There doesn't seem to be a difference between the two packages, so if anyone was thinking about purchasing both games, they could save $30 by buying à la carte. PS Store Quietly Gets Price Hikes for Some Older Games
The has randomly received price hikes for a bunch of older games by their publisher, leaving players confused. Players have reported that in several countries, Rockstar Games increased the prices of Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2, GTA V, and the stand-alone GTA Online. It's not unheard of for publishers to increase prices of new games in a variety of regions, owing to economic factors. However, increasing prices of older games is a little perplexing. Over on Reddit, a player reported that RDR1, RDR2, and a bundle combining them both went up in price in both U.K. and Brazil. However, another Redditor pointed out that these price hikes started back in April, and affected a large number of countries including Japan, Sweden, Norway, and South Africa. Meanwhile, some countries including Mexico, Switzerland and Czech Republic got a price cut. In the U.K., RDR1 went up by over £10, and RDR2 went up by more than £5. At the time of this writing, it's unclear if it's only Rockstar Games that has adjusted prices of older games on online storefronts. We'll keep an eye on the situation and keep our readers posted.
