Calgary police are investigating after a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck hauling a utility trailer killed a 35-year-old man on Thursday. It happened just before 6 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Stoney Trail and Sarcee Trail northwest. Global News Investigators believe a white 2023 GMC Sierra pickup, with a utility trailer attached, was travelling eastbound on Stoney in the middle lane. Story continues below advertisement As it approached some slowing traffic, the driver braked and changed lanes to the left, striking a red 2019 Ducati 959 Panigale motorcycle that was travelling in the far left lane of Stoney Trail. The rider was rushed to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, where he later died. The driver of the pickup, who was not injured, remained at the scene. A 36-year-old Calgary man faces two counts of sexual assault after being accused of meeting two women through online dating apps, then sexually assaulting them. Calgary police allege the first victim began communicating with the man in June 2023, using a dating app before meeting him in person for a date in September 2023. After the date, police said, the man invited the woman back to his apartment where they engaged in consensual activity and the woman spent the night. Investigators allege, the next morning, the man sexually assaulted the woman and she immediately left the residence. Police said 36-year-old Tuoyo Barnabas has now been charged with two counts of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 22. The Calgary police homicide unit is investigating a suspicious death that happened Sunday in the community of Pineridge. Officers were called out around 3:50 p.m. to the 6300 block of Rundlehorn Drive northeast for reports of an assault. Upon arrival they found a man in distress who was transported to hospital, where he was later declared deceased. Investigators are still trying to determine the exact circumstances that led to the man's death, but said there is no risk to the public. Police seek suspects after $600 theft at Odessa Ulta Beauty

ODESSA, Texas- The Odessa Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two individuals involved in a theft at Ulta Beauty. The incident occurred at the Ulta Beauty store located at 6317 E. Highway 191. On the day of the theft, an unidentified male and female entered the store and stole over $600 worth of merchandise. The suspects were captured on in-store surveillance cameras, and still images have been obtained from the footage. The Odessa Police Department is now turning to the community for help. If you recognize either individual shown in the surveillance photos, contact Detective M. Troglin directly at 432-284-2012.
