Former Ohio State basketball players get fans pumped for upcoming season

Former Ohio State basketball players get fans pumped for upcoming season If you haven't noticed yet, the Ohio State basketball program is welcoming former players back to Columbus for a week they call "Vet Camp." It's a chance for former OSU players to come back to town and practice, work out, and coach the current roster full of players. It's a great time to connect and be around guys who have been through the thick and thin, who have bled Scarlet and Gray and can relate and provide guidance, competition, and a mature outlook on what it means to be an OSU basketball player. After Monday, many of those who came back to stay in touch with the program they used to play for took time out to express their excitement about the upcoming season on social media. It's a short message by the likes of Greg Oden, D'Angelo Russell, Brice Sensabaugh, Kosta Koufus, and Ron Lewis, and a few others, of the anticipation for what this season could bring. All believe in what head coach Jake Diebler and the program are building and what could be in store for the 2025-2026 season. If you haven't seen the messages each provided, you can get a look now thanks to the Ohio State Hoops "X" account below. Hopefully, these former players are correct because the Buckeye program sorely needs to have a momentum-building year where it makes it back to the NCAA Tournament. It would help immensely if Ohio State also contended for a Big Ten title and more, but baby steps, right? Ohio State basketball unveils new Value City Arena court design

Ohio State basketball unveils new Value City Arena court design Out with the old, in with the new. On Friday, days after teasing a new court design and reminiscing about hardwood designs of the past, the Ohio State basketball program unveiled a new, sleek look for the upcoming season and beyond. Gone are the plain wood colored floorboards with accented scarlet and gray. The new look features a main gray pallet for the base floorboard color with red accenting things on the baselines, out of bounds, and lane areas, all with a pop of pure white outlining the shapes and letters. It also appears as though the "O" or stained color of Ohio at midcourt will be replaced by "Buckeyes," which will be a first in program history. In case you didn't get a chance to view the new design, the Ohio State Hoops "X" account (formerly Twitter), unveiled the new design via a creative team post on Friday. Have a look at the past, and through to the design coming to an arena near you soon, all set to some heart-thumping music and radio calls from years before. We like it here at Buckeyes Wire. It's not a traditional look per se, but it does bring things into today with a more progressive design that other programs are going to. Ohio State basketball head coach Jake Diebler provides offseason update

Ohio State basketball head coach Jake Diebler provides offseason update This past season was not what anyone in and around the Ohio State basketball program dreamed of. The team missed the NCAA Tournament for the third-straight year and finished the season on a very sour note. Head coach Jake Diebler would be the first to tell you that what we saw from the team and program last season is not what should be happening on the banks of the Olentangy, and he took some time to address all of that and to provide an update to the program via the Ohio State Hoops "X" account this week. It might be a little unconventional to provide a quick, little over three-minute update on social media rather than a press conference, but It's kind of nice that Diebler is out there addressing some things directly with Buckeye Nation. We thought we'd bring you his entire update so you can get up to speed if you haven't seen it already. In the video, Diebler addresses the disappointment of last year, how the program was able to retain some key players, what happened with the transfer portal, some things that are being done inside the Schott to make the environment better, and more. Get a look, and listen for yourself. It sounds like Diebler might be looking to do more of these updates in the future and if and when he does, we'll be sure to bring it to you as well. Here's to hoping the optimism he is showing in this video translates to what we see on the court next season.
