Manga Productions and Koei Tecmo Games partner to publish ‘Nioh 3' in MENA

As part of the collaboration, Manga Productions will oversee Arabic localisation, marketing, and publishing for the Middle East and North Africa region. Manga Productions, a subsidiary of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk), has partnered with Japan's Koei Tecmo Games to publish the upcoming action RPG Nioh 3 across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The game is slated for a global simultaneous release in early 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Steam. Nioh 3 continues the critically acclaimed Nioh series, known for its dark samurai narrative, mythological elements, and punishing combat. Building on a franchise that has sold over 8m units worldwide, the new installment introduces an open field environment and a dual fighting system, enabling players to fluidly switch between 'Samurai' and 'Ninja' styles in real time. Under the new partnership, Manga Productions will oversee Arabic localisation, marketing, and regional distribution. The company plans to involve Saudi creatives in the adaptation process to ensure authenticity and cultural relevance for Arabic-speaking gamers. Dr Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, emphasised that the collaboration reflects the company's ability to deliver world-class content while nurturing local talent. He noted that Manga's growing international recognition highlights its strength in regional publishing and marketing. Following their successful cooperation on Dynasty Warriors: Origins, which earned praise for its culturally sensitive localisation, both companies are aiming to build on that momentum. Hisashi Koinuma, President and COO of Koei Tecmo Games, expressed confidence in the continued partnership with Manga Productions, stating that the reception of Dynasty Warriors: Origins demonstrated the region's enthusiasm for well-localized Japanese titles. Abdulaziz Alnaghmoosh, Manga Productions' Director of Business Development and Content Licensing, said the aim with Nioh 3 is to create a localised experience that resonates from day one, offering Arabic players a seamless and immersive journey when the title launches globally. This partnership reinforces the growing influence of MENA in the global gaming market and underlines Manga Productions' commitment to delivering content that speaks directly to regional audiences while setting new standards for Arabic localisation in the gaming industry.

3 PlayStation Plus games to play this weekend (June 13-15)

After the State of Play last week, followed by all the Summer Game Fest announcements, PlayStation fans have tons of upcoming PS5 games to look forward to. The only downside is we can't play them right now. That's where my weekly PS Plus game recommendations come in to save the weekend. This time around, I wanted to mix things up by celebrating Friday the 13th as well as give you some games to wet your appetites for a few of the more exciting game announcements. I've crammed in a classic multiplayer game, brutal single-player adventure, and cult classic strategy title here to cover as many bases as possible. Dead by Daylight Because the official Friday the 13th game has been shut down, I am turning to the next best thing to celebrate this unlucky holiday. Dead by Daylight started out with very clear homages to iconic movie slasher Killers, but eventually got the rights to use tons of official characters like Freddy, Ghostface, and Leatherface. Sadly, the one glaring omission is Jason. Even so, this is an amazing multiplayer horror game, whether you're one of the struggling survivors or a lethal killer hunting them down. It has been a huge hit with fans for over 10 years now so it must be doing something right. This is a great game you can play for just a night or two for some quick spooky fun, or get deep into the progression and play for months. Recommended Videos Dead by Daylight is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, Mobile, and PC. Nioh Out of all the announcements from the State of Play this week, I don't think anyone saw Nioh 3 coming. Now that Souls-like games are bigger than ever, I can't wait to see how Team Ninja is evolving the formula, but also think this is the best time to go back and hone my skills in the original. From a gameplay perspective, Nioh still feels amazing. It has the speed of a game like Sekiro or Bloodborne, but with some great twists like the stance system and abundance of loot. The one aspect that might feel a little dated after Elden Ring is the level-based structure, but that also gives it a much more approachable feel; you can dive in for one mission and feel accomplished or take on a dozen. If you've been sleeping on one of the best Souls-like franchises, now is the time to give it a shot. Nioh is available now on PS4, PS5, and PC. Jeanne d'Arc There was a small but passionate group out there who went wild when Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles was revealed. If you are one of them, you know there hasn't been anything that has quite scratched that same tactics itch since this classic title all those years ago. Now that we know it is coming, we need something to hold us over, right? That's where the PSP gem Jeanne d'Arc comes in to save the day. Not only is this a criminally underplayed tactics game, but it is also considered to be almost on the same level as Final Fantasy Tactics. Tactics lovers will find a wealth of gameplay options to tinker with, plus a gripping story that puts a magical twist on historical events. Jeanne d'Arc is available now on PS4 and PS5.

Nioh 3 is heading to PS5 and PC in 2026, complete with two distinct combat styles

Nioh 3 is heading to PlayStation 5 and PC in 2026 and you can get a taste of its Sengoku setting and dark samurai action on Sony's console right now. A demo for the game is live today on PS5 and it'll be available through June 18, courtesy of developer Team Ninja and publisher Koei Tecmo. The game reveal was a nice surprise during Sony's State of Play event today, and it came with a trailer showcasing big, demonic creatures and frantic action scenes. Much like its predecessors, Nioh 3 is a dark fantasy action RPG set in 15-century Japan. The original Nioh came out in 2017 and its sequel landed in 2020, with a handful of Dead or Alive installments released in between. Nioh 3 introduces a new combat system to the series that lets players swap between two distinct fighting styles, Samurai and Ninja. Samurai is similar to previous Nioh titles with a focus on close-range martial arts, while Ninja enables quick reactions like dodging and aerial moves. Players will be able to change combat styles on the fly. Nioh 3 features an open world — Team Ninja calls it an "open field," actually — to explore, as well. "Aside from the new battle styles, Nioh 3 also enables players to enjoy an open field that offers a new freedom of exploration to the unique tension and confrontations that have become a defining characteristic of the Nioh series," Team Ninja head Fumihiko Yasuda said on the PlayStation Blog. "Experience unexpected encounters with formidable yokai, explore suspicious villages riddled in violent secrets, and take on the daunting challenges of The Crucible."
