Jitesh Sharma hits a six and celebrates Vidarbha Pro T20 League final win. New Delhi: Wicketkeeper-batter, Jitesh Sharma, continued his strong recent performance. Following a successful title win with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he led NECO Master Blaster to victory in the Vidarbha Pro T20 League in June 2025, defeating Paragariya Strikers by seven wickets. Jitesh's team, playing in the final at Nagpur's Vidarbha Cricket Association, pursued a 179-run target. Their innings began strongly. After opener Adhyayan Daga's 22 runs off 16 balls, Vedant Dighade and Aryan Meshram built a significant 90-run partnership. Following this, Addhyan Rauthan was dismissed for a low score, while Dighade reached his fifty. With 51 runs needed from the final six overs, Jitesh entered the crease after the 14th over. He contributed a quickfire unbeaten 30 runs from just 11 balls, including three sixes and a four, culminating in a final six off Kaustubh Salve to secure victory for NECO Master Blaster with two overs remaining. Dighade also made a significant contribution, remaining not out on 80 runs (52 balls, eight fours, four sixes). Pagariya Strikers had a bad start as they lost three wickets in the fourth over with 27 runs on the board. But Shivam Deshmukh scored 82 runs (with seven sixes and three fours) and Pushpak Gujar (25) and Yash Kadam (16) ensured that they made a comeback. A rapid 23 by Vishesh Tiwari also kept them moving along and they eventually posted 178/7. During the IPL 2025 season, Jitesh was the fourth top run-scorer in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He got 11 innings and scored 261 runs at an average of 37.29 with a strike rate of 176.35 with a best of 85 not out off Lucknow Super Giants. At the mega auction he was bought by RCB at 11 crore rupees.

Chasing a target of 179, Vedant Dighade and Adhyan Daga started with a 35-run stand for the Master Blaster before Daga was dismissed for 22 off 16 balls. Aryam Meshram then joined Dighade, and the pair put on 90 runs together before the latter was dismissed for 42 off 26 balls. In came the in-form captain Jitesh at number five, smashing three sixes and a four with a strike-rate of 272.72 to apply the finishing touches. With six required off 14 balls, he stepped down and smacked spinner K Salve over the head to seal the victory and kick off the celebrations. Dighade remained unbeaten with 80 off 52 balls. As his teammates ran towards him, Jitesh gestured to them to run past and celebrate on their own, before nonchalantly trying to walk off. In the semi-final against Bharat Rangers, his team needed six runs to win on the last ball and he came on the winning side, ending with a 22-ball 46 to his name. That only added to his image of a brilliant finisher, having helped RCB win the IPL 2025 title with multiple such knocks, including a stellar 85* against Lucknow Super Giants and a 24 in the final. In the first innings, Pagariya Strikers started with Dhruv Shorey and MD Faiz, but were reduced to 27/3 in 3.3 overs. MD Faiz scored 19 off 12 balls, while Shorey managed just 6 off 5 balls. Shivam Deshmukh anchored the innings with 82 off 45 balls, supported by Pushpak Gujar (25 off 26 balls), Yash Kadam (16 off 12 balls), and Vishesh Tiwari (23* off 15 balls), posting a total of 178/7 in 20 overs. NECO Master Blaster have qualified for the semi-final of the Vidarbha Pro T20 League and are raring to go. After losing the first match, NECO Master Blaster won three matches on trot to make a comeback. Aryan Meshram has been the standout performer, smashing three half-centuries and anchoring crucial wins for the side. Alongside him, R Sanjay has also made significant contributions, helping the team stay consistent with the bat. Speaking after the team's qualification for the knockouts, Jitesh said, 'When you give freedom to the talent, this is what happens. Aryan Meshram is one such example. That's why giving freedom to juniors and upcoming players is important – so that they can enjoy the game and express themselves on the field.' Reflecting on the team's mindset, Jitesh added, 'I've told my teammates – go and enjoy on the field. If you love hitting sixes, go hit sixes from the first ball. It doesn't matter if you get out. I'm proud of my batters for the way they've responded to this approach.' With this win, NECO Master Blaster registered their second win of the ongoing season. NECO Master Blaster will now face Orange Tigers on Tuesday before facing Pagariya Strikers on Wednesday. Neco Master Blaster put on a dominant batting display in the first innings, posting a formidable total of 199/6 in their allotted 20 overs in the ongoing Vidarbha Pro T20 League. Opening the innings, Aryan Meshram set the tone with a composed 64 off 48 balls, striking five boundaries and two sixes. His partner Adhyayan Daga was the aggressor, smashing a quickfire 58 off just 33 deliveries with six fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 175.8. The duo stitched together a solid partnership that laid the foundation for a big total. Middle-order cameos from R Sanjay (20 off 16), skipper Jitesh Sharma (16 off 9), and Addhyan Rauthan (9 off 6) kept the momentum going.
