Emmerdale legend injured as the finger is pointed at a major character

Robert Sugden continues to cause trouble (Picture: ITV) Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has made quite the return to Emmerdale, but could he be heading back to jail already? His dramatic re-entrance saw him derail Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and John Sugden's (Oliver Farnworth) wedding, kiss Aaron when they thought no one was looking, and then get himself carted off back to prison for breaking his bail conditions with a broken heart after Aaron rejected him. After asking Aaron to visit him in prison and Aaron refused, Robert surprised everyone by making a second return, showing up back in the village ready to embrace a life of freedom and to spend time with his family. But his second go at life outside of his cell is immediately when an incident leads to Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) getting a black eye. John wants Robert out of the village (Picture: ITV) By any means necessary…(Picture: ITV) He's left feeling untold guilt and vows to move out of the house having hurt his sister so badly, but Vic is just left worried for her big brother. Robert then finds himself under threat of a return to prison when he overhears John trying to convince Victoria to report him. Robert manages to get himself a trial job at the depot to try and turn things around, but his second round of bad luck hits when Caleb (William Ash) ends his trial early – but distraught Robert is interested to learn from Jai (Chris Bisson) that John was behind it. Coronation Street finally confirms if Kit is really Brody's dad

Is Kit Green a father? (Picture: ITV) Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) was thrown when he discovered Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) might be his son in Coronation Street recently. When he learned that Lou (Farrel Hegarty) and Mick (Joe Layton)'s boy was 16 years old, he realised the dates fitted the time when Mick was in prison – and Kit and Lou had a fling together. Lou, however, has been denying that Brody is Kit's son. This has left Kit unsure about where he stands, although we've seen his behaviour towards Brody reflecting the fact that there's part of him that really believes he could be Brody's dad. He's let him off with a warning after catching him stealing, and when he found Brody having an epileptic seizure Kit took care of him and stayed with him at the hospital until Lou arrived. Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) quickly warmed to the idea that she could be Brody's granny and urged Kit to do a DNA test to confirm whether this was really the case. She even 'borrowed' Brody's cap while he was in hospital to get some hairs off it for testing purposes. DNA duly dispatched, Kit is about to get the answer he's been waiting for – and it will change his world forever. Kit finally gets some answers (Picture: ITV) Kit used to hang out with Lou and Mick when they were younger (Picture: ITV) Brody is causing trouble again on the Street when Aadi (Adam Hussain) throws a midsummer-themed party at number 7, and Brody decides there's money to be made supplying LSD to Weatherfield's youth. Aadi kicks Brody out after seeing him with the drugs, but he doesn't go quietly and there's a fight. Then, with Brody gone, Aadi, Summer (Harriet Bibby) and Nina (Mollie Gallagher) prepare to take the LSD. Aadi, however, is distracted and when he comes back someone else has taken his share. With all of this going on at number 7, elsewhere Kit has had the DNA results. Bernie is desperate to find out whether she really is Brody's granny – and Kit confirms she is. He's the boy's dad. The father/son bond is about to be put to the test, though, when Kit receives a report of illegal drugs being circulated at the party – and the person who took Aadi's share of the LSD is now in a deteriorating condition. Kit questions Aadi about what went on at the party. Will he drop Brody in it by explaining that he supplied the drugs? And if he does, how will Kit's newly-discovered relationship with Brody affect how he handles the situation? Lisa reassures Betsy as past character's Corrie return confuses everything

Betsy Swain attempted to do some investigating (Picture: ITV) Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) was on a mission in tonight's Coronation Street as she tried to find answers regarding the life her mum lived before she died. Lisa Swain's (Vicky Myers) ex-partner Becky was also a copper, but she apparently died after being hit by a car. This week, Lisa told Carla Connor (Alison King) more about Becky's life as a police officer. She said that, before her death, Becky was being investigated by the anti-corruption unit, and Lisa was keen to keep that information from her daughter. Lisa emotionally opened up about how she and Becky had fought over the allegations the day Becky was killed, and though the investigation was dropped, she didn't get the funeral she deserved. Betsy and Lauren headed to the station (Picture: ITV) Lisa attempted to talk to Betsy about her mum, but when Betsy insisted that she hadn't read the letter because she wasn't interested in knowing who her sperm donor was, Lisa decided to keep quiet about what the letter was really about. Unfortunately, Betsy wasn't being entirely honest either, as she later revealed to Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) that she knew exactly what the letter was about. She confessed that she was convinced Becky's hit and run had been a coverup of some sort, and asked Lauren for her help in getting to the bottom of things. Lisa Swain's ex-partner Becky was killed after being hit by a car (Picture: ITV) This involved visiting Logan Radcliffe in prison. The young man is behind bars after killing his brother Mason (Luca Toolan), but it's also known that Logan and other sibling Matty were involved in Becky's death. In the prison visiting room, Betsy explained to an arrogant Logan that she wanted to know more about her mum. The smug character told her that it would cost her, and Betsy was happy to pay him from her trust fund. Logan span a story to Betsy but laughed at the end, revealing it was just a massive wind up. Back at the flat, Betsy confessed to her mum that she went to see Logan for answers. Lisa did her best to reassure her daughter, noting that the investigation into Becky potentially being corrupt was dropped. As much as she would like to know more about her other mum, Betsy is also very accepting of Lisa's new partner Carla. Towards the end of the episode, the couple surprised Betsy and revealed that they are going to buy a bigger place together, and she loved the idea. Warring EastEnders legends put feud to bed after major news is issued

Cindy and Kathy put things to one side after some heartbreaking news (Picture: BBC/Kieron McCarron) You might want to sit down before reading on – Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) and Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) made some sort of truce in tonight's EastEnders. I wouldn't expect it to last, either. Let's face it, the two women haven't seen eye to eye for almost four decades. After all, Cindy is the one who tore Kathy's golden boy Ian's (Adam Woodyatt) life to shreds on more than one occasion. There was no joyful reunion between the pair when Cindy miraculously 'returned from the dead' in 2023, revealing that she had spent 25 years in witness protection. Kathy even warned Ian on numerous occasions that his apparently devoted partner would cheat on him again, and her suspicions went into fruition when Cindy hopped into bed with her former step-son Junior Knight (Micah Balfour). Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) decided to expose the affair on Christmas Day, also revealing that the mother-in-law from hell had been supplying her with drugs throughout her pregnancy. To cut a long story short, Kathy then picked up a snow shovel and whacked Cindy around the head with it. Brutal. The women have never seen eye to eye (Picture: BBC/Kieron McCarron) They were forced together in tonight's episode while caring for Louie (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) In a dramatic confrontation, Cindy learned her attacker's identity, shot Ian, and then pushed him towards a car that would go on to cause an explosion to ignite from within The Queen Vic pub. A shamed Cindy then fled the area, and upon her return, wanted revenge. She demanded that Kathy and Ian hand over their home and businesses to her, and eventually got her hands on The Prince Albert bar. But her revenge plan didn't stop there – she then played a video of Kathy kissing Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) in front of everyone. In tonight's episode, they came face to face once again during Lauren's hour of need. She had rushed her newborn baby Jimmy to the hospital, noticing that there was something strange with his eyesight. With Ian and Peter (Thomas Law) also heading there, youngster Louie (Jake McNally) had been left in Kathy's care. Lauren was told that her son is visually impaired (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) Follow Metro Soaps on WhatsApp and get all the latest spoilers first! As he tucked into his chicken nuggets, Cindy swanned in and demanded some time with her grandson. Kathy was uncertain, but given the circumstances, she wasn't in the mood to argue. The two then kept vigil, anxiously awaiting for an update. Ian then called and broke some heartbreaking news – Jimmy's eyes haven't formed properly, and he will be visually impaired for the rest of his life. Suddenly, the animosity disappeared between Cindy and Kathy. As tears filled their eyes, they leaned onto one another for support. But for Cindy, is this a guilty conscience? Emmerdale's Joe Tate makes unexpected move as he regains consciousness

Joe Tate remembers everything (Picture: ITV) Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) was on edge in tonight's Emmerdale, as she learnt that Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) had been brought out of his coma. Joe has been in hospital since last Friday. He was pushed from a window at Home Farm by Dawn, who had learnt the truth about him and how he threatened her daughter Clemmie. This week, Dawn has spent time worrying about just how much Joe remembers about the ordeal. In tonight's episode, Kim Tate (Claire King) went to visit Joe and after their chat, he asked for her to send Dawn. As soon as she arrived, Joe confirmed that he remembers absolutely everything. This left Dawn to desperately explain herself, as she didn't want Joe to turn the tables and tell the police. Dawn Taylor has been confirmed as Joe Tate's attacker (Picture: ITV) Dawn said that she pushed Joe in an act of rage after finding out what he did to Clemmie, and also told him about the arguments she's been having with Billy. If Joe was pushed by anyone else, he would've dealt with the aftermath a completely different way. The fact he's clearly still in love with Dawn impacted his decisions massively, as he decided to not tell the police about her. But with this being Joe Tate, it wasn't going to really ever be that simple. He told Dawn that he'd save her from prison if she gave him another chance. He was adamant that he could rebuild the trust between them, and fix things between him and her children. Billy believes that Clemmie, Lucas and Evan shouldn't live at Home Farm (Picture: ITV) He was also particularly angry about Billy's threats towards Dawn, which saw him say that he wants full custody of Clemmie, Lucas and Evan in return for his silence. After Dawn left, Billy visited. Joe warned him and said that if he didn't play nice, he'd make sure he loses absolutely everything. The episode ended with Dawn left at a crossroads. Kim had found out about her pushing Joe, but oddly was quite understanding about the entire thing. She could see herself in Dawn and tried to give her some advice. Essentially, Dawn must now decide what her moral compass looks like. She could choose Joe and get back with him, live a life of luxury and ensure her children never go without. Or, she could refuse to forgive Joe after committing all of those crimes. It would mean she ends up a single parent and potentially face a custody battle with Billy, but it all depends on what is more important to her. Kim told her to go for it – but will she?
