Juventus interested in Tottenham's Mikey Moore
Kenan Yildiz is probably Juventus' best player at the moment and that was in full display with him scoring a brace against Al-Ain in the club's 5-0 win in their inaugural Club World Cup match. However this also means that he has interest from other big clubs. Juventus though want to tie him down and be a leading player in the present as well as long term. Meanwhile, the club are looking at young attackers who could grow alongside Yildiz and become protagonists themselves. Mikey Moore of Tottenham Hotspur is a name that has been touted as an option as per Gazzetta dello Sport. He is widely considered as one of the best English talents around. Advertisement Although he's 17, many believe that he should have already featured a lot more for Tottenham than he already has. If this issue continues persisting under new manager Thomas Frank, then a move cannot be ruled out for the player who has a contract till 2027. Also on the list is Monaco's Eliesse Ben Seghir. The Moroccan made a great impression in what was his first real season in senior football and has a lot of clubs monitoring him. He is 20 and it is believed that he can be signed for a fee of around €30m. Kaulik Mitra | GIFN

Salzburg see it out
Serie A giants Juventus cruised to an opening Group G victory at Audi Field, with Kenan Yildiz completing the scoring Getty Images Getty Images We did get our finale in the second Group H game, after adverse weather delayed the second half. It was 1-0 to RB Salzburg when that happened, but Bryan Gonzalez got Pachuca back level swiftly after the restart. There was a sting in the tail for the Mexicans however, as Karim Onisiwo napped the winner some 15 minutes from time, earning the Swiss side a 2-1 win in Cincinnati. Getty Images It's been a while since Juventus had it this good. You have to go back to February 2018 for the last time they scored four goals in a first half, which was against Sassuolo. That is according to Opta. Here is that gorgeous fourth goal from Randal Kolo Muani. It will be interesting to see how Juventus handle the second half, as in truth this game is already won. HT: Al Ain 0-4 Juventus And that is half-time. Sure, it's not quite Bayern Munich vs Auckland City, but it doesn't feel far off it. Juventus have been impressive going forward, but boy have they had the freedom of Audi Field to look it. 45+4' Al Ain 0-4 Juventus Wonderful run as Randal Kolo Muani is played in behind by Khephren Thuram. Lovely ball, gorgeous first touch and an even better finish with the outside of his right foot. Juve cruising in DC. 45+1' Al Ain 0-3 Juventus A couple more flashes from Laba, which dinks a little cross into the centre that was headed clear — and saved a certain goal. The ball falls back to Laba, who turns neatly before firing low at the near post. It's a sharp effort, but also a shot you would expect Michele Di Gregorio to save. And he does. We have five added minutes to come at the end of this first half. Getty Images 41' Al Ain 0-3 Juventus As close as Al Ain have come to a goal here, as Zabala whips in a beautiful inswinging cross that just evades the waiting Laba from a few yards out. In truth though, Juventus are in total control here. 37' Al Ain 0-3 Juventus Another fluent counter as Juventus go from one end to the other. Thuram and Kelly providing a powerful threat down the left consistently. In the end, Kelly's cross scoots through the box without the final finish it deserves. But this has been pretty ugly for Al Ain so far, and it doesn't yet look like Juve are going to let up — to that point, Conceicao sees his latest shot tipped around the post by Rui Patricio. 31' Al Ain 0-3 Juventus Oh, what a lovely finish from Kenan Yildiz, driving a low shot with his right foot, in off the inside of the post. Rui Patricio with no chance to his right. Juve averaging a goal every 10 minutes here… 23' Al Ain 0-2 Juventus There is a brief VAR check over a potential handball in the build-up, which looks like when Alberto Costa is sent tumbling to the floor — it looks pretty incidental and that is the final verdict too. But it does take a bit of time, the commentary team finds out before the referee, and her mic never switches on despite her trying to announce the news. Instead, the PA confirms the goal. Anyway, all good here for Juve. 21' Al Ain 0-2 Juventus I have to say, that is terrible defending. Francisco Conceicao is allowed to dribble off the byline in the penalty box, find and angle to shoot — and then get his shot away. It deflects up and over Rui Patricio, and Juventus lead 2-0 after just 21 minutes. 17' Al Ain 0-1 Juventus We've got some proper back and forth here. Al Ain's break is unceremoniously ended by Cambiaso and that brings the second Juventus booking inside 15 minutes from referee Tori Penso. The free kick is right on the edge of the box and it causes some brief panic in the Juventus box, but they survive. They then break forward, and this is where they look so dangerous. A nice move sees Lloyd Kelly at the byline — but his cross is cleared from a few yards out. 11' Al Ain 0-1 Juventus It was patient build-up, symptomatic of this Juventus start. They look confident and engaged. Alberto Costa's swinging cross from the right was a dream — and Kolo Muani read it perfectly to meet it at full pelt and send his header into the top corner. Rui Patricio had no chance, and Al Ain will be sensing this could be a difficult evening already. 11' Al Ain 0-1 Juventus That didn't take long! Wonderfully worked opener sees Randal Kolo Muani head a fine goal to give Juve a deserved lead. Bang! 9' Al Ain 0-0 Juventus This has been a fun start. Juventus park themselves on the edge of the Al Ain penalty box and then Khephren Thuram takes a tumble in it, looking around to see if there might be a penalty in it. Appeals waved away. Then on the run, Facundo Zabala is first to fire on goal — the save is comfortable in the end, but the run was lively. 5' Al Ain 0-0 Juventus Competitive start and an early late foot from Weston McKennie on Park Yong-woo. That brings out a rapid booking, which seems a bit hard. I doubt we'll see a quicker one all tournament. He's actually going to need to be careful now for the remaining 86-plus minutes. 1' Al Ain 0-0 Juventus Here we go. The only two teams we're yet to see take to the field at this Club World Cup. The final Group G game, following Manchester City's 2-0 win over Wydad AC earlier in Philadelphia. Let's get this done… Getty Images And here's Al Ain forward Kaku getting used to the Audi Field surroundings. We're now just minutes from kick-off. Getty Images Warm-ups all done and dusted, with Juventus sporting some rather fetching pre-match tops…

Juventus respond as Andrea Berta puts Kenan Yildiz on summer transfer shortlist
Arsenal are interested in Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, but they do not want to sell the 20-year-old winger and are set to open talks with him over a new contract Juventus are reportedly planning to offer Kenan Yildiz a new contract in a bid to ward off interest from clubs like Arsenal. Yildiz enjoyed an impressive campaign for Juventus this season, producing 16 goal contributions in 48 appearances across all competitions. The 20-year-old is attracting interest from a number of sides across Europe and Arsenal are among them, with Mikel Arteta keen to strengthen his forward line this summer. Italian outlet Tuttosport are reporting that Arsenal are the club who are 'most interested' in Yildiz. The Gunners are said to have a longstanding interest in Yildiz and are ready to spend between €50million (£42m) and €60m (£50.5m) on a new winger. It is claimed that Yildiz and Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams are Arsenal's top targets. However, Juventus believe Yildiz is worth closer to €100m (£84m) and they are ready to open talks with the Turkey international over a new deal which could see him double his salary. Juventus endured a disappointing campaign as they finished fourth in Serie A, but they finished the season strongly after Igor Tudor replaced Thiago Motta as manager in March. Juventus have lost just one game under Tudor and Yildiz has spoken highly of the Croatian. "He gave us energy, it was important for us," Yildiz told DAZN last month about Tudor's impact. "Since he arrived, we've been happy, we've been working hard. I'm happy with this season, but I want to improve in everything. "I'm always looking ahead. The No.10 shirt doesn't add any pressure. I play as usual and I'm happy to be wearing it." Arsenal, meanwhile, have yet to make any new signings but Arteta has told fans that this summer's transfer window will be a "big one" for the club. "It's going to be a big one and we are very excited about it," he said. "When you are going to go again, we want to increase the depth of the squad and the quality and the skills that we need to go to the next step. "Every summer is big because it is an opportunity – and especially because of the number of players we have in the squad right now, that is necessary. "But it's a big summer for many things because first of all we have to maintain the good foundations that we have and then obviously how can we improve and evolve the team." How Juventus plan to fend off Arsenal interest in Yildiz
Reports in Italy claim that Juventus are beginning to work on a new contract extension for Turkish talent Kenan Yildiz in order to fend off interest from the likes of Premier League side Arsenal heading into the summer transfer window. Yildiz still has four full years on his current Bianconeri contract left to play, but the club are prepared to reward him with an increase in salary after an impressive 2024-25 season in Serie A. Advertisement With nine goals and seven assists to his name across all competitions this term, Yildiz is currently the second-most productive U20 player in Europe, second only to Barcelona's Lamine Yamal. (Photo by) The 20-year-old's form has not gone unnoticed, and according to reports from Tuttosport, has attracted interest from Premier League side Arsenal, now under the guidance of Italian sporting director Andrea Berta. Tuttosport claims that Arsenal will look to invest around €50m-€60m on a new left winger during the summer transfer window, and that Yildidz and Nico Williams are among the preferred options. Advertisement However, in order to fend off the growing interest in Yildiz, Juventus are prepared to adjust the personal terms that he currently receives from his current deal. epa11997437 Kenan Yldiz celebrates scoring the 1-0 opening goal during the Italian Serie A soccer match between Juventus FC and CFC Genoa, in Juventus, Italy, 29 March 2025. EPA-EFE/Alessandro Di Marco And, while Arsenal may be prepared to spend up to €60m on a new winger, Sunday's reports claim that Yildiz is now valued in the region of €100m by his current employers. Juventus are reportedly planning to increase Yildiz's salary from the €1.5m he currently earns annually to somewhere in the region of €3m-€4m per season plus bonuses.

A baffling mistake turns a solid USMNT match into a missed opportunity, and a loss to Türkiye
CONNECTICUT, UNITED STATES - JUNE 7: Kenan Yildiz (11) of Turkiye in action against Johnny Cardoso (15) of USA during the friendly match between Turkiye and USA at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut, United States on June 7, 2025. (Photo by Mostafa Bassim/Anadolu via Getty Images) For roughly 23 minutes on Saturday in Connecticut, a makeshift U.S. men's national team was oozing confidence. It was beating Türkiye, 1-0, in its first friendly of the summer. Recent debutants were dueling with established Turkish stars, and winning. This, after months of malaise, and with controversy fueled by missing stars lingering, was precisely what an ailing program needed. And then, with one careless pass and fluky bounce, all the positive vibes swirled down drains and back to ground zero. The USMNT ultimately lost to Türkiye, 2-1, at a dripping-wet Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn. It was their third straight loss, and seventh consecutive game against a European foe without a victory. In many ways, it was more of the same — uninspiring, and without progress. Advertisement But it was more so a missed opportunity. Because for two-thirds of the match, this makeshift USMNT outplayed a mostly-full-strength European quarterfinalist. Because of one baffling mistake, though, the U.S. had nothing material to show for it. The mistake was Johnny Cardoso's. In the 24th minute, he picked up the ball in his own penalty area; two touches later, he flicked it off the shin of Arda Güler — and it dribbled directly into the corner of the U.S. net. The foosball-like goal leveled the game at 1-1. And it shook the Americans. 'It was an emotional goal,' head coach Mauricio Pochettino said at halftime. In one moment, they were flowing and assured; when the game re-kicked off, they looked deflated. A couple minutes later, they conceded again, and the good vibes were clearly gone. Advertisement Johnny, who spent the opening 20 minutes playing like the commanding midfielder who's reportedly off to Atlético Madrid for $30 million, suddenly began gifting possession and counterattacks to his Turkish counterparts. Max Arfsten and even Diego Luna, who'd been bright spots early on, were also giving the ball away in their defensive half. U.S. defenders were suddenly shaky on and off the ball. Everyone was hesitant in duels. The game turned on its head, from an impressive U.S. performance to a troubling one. By the end of 90 minutes, it was more impressive than troubling. 'There's a lot more positives we can take away,' midfielder Tyler Adams told TNT afterwards. Adams replaced Cardoso at halftime, and the USMNT stabilized. Advertisement But its collection of reserves didn't quite have the quality to find an equalizer. And so, rather than a jumping-off point for a successful summer, Saturday's match became another forgettable one, far below the standard that the USMNT will need to meet as it looks toward the 2026 World Cup.
