CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison says areas of southern Ontario remain under a rainfall warning Thursday afternoon. CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison says the Bruce Peninsula in particular is experiencing some heavy rainfall. 'The air mass will be less humid as we head into your Friday, still unsettled though over [the next few] days,' said Atchison. 'Although the probability drops down to about a 40 per cent chance.' She warns residents some extreme heat will begin moving through southern Ontario starting Sunday. 'We will have a multi-day heat event Sunday, Monday, Tuesday into Wednesday,' she explained. 'The rest of the area, expecting some rain – heavy at times – as rounds of thunderstorms move through,' said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. 'In London, potential for upwards of 20 millimetres of rain.' Atchison added that some of these thunderstorms will have intense lightning and strong wind gusts.
