Meet Jordan Hemingway, FKA Twigs' photographer boyfriend: he's worked with clients including Prada and Valentino, but growing up in New Jersey, he dreamed of being a pro skateboarder
When the Daily Mail published photos of FKA Twigs with a man leaving a Louis Vuitton after-party in March 2023, they included a question: 'Do you know FKA Twigs' mystery man?' To their surprise, the English singer-songwriter responded directly. Jordan Hemingway and FKA Twigs pictured during New York Fashion Week in February. Advertisement 'The whole of my career I've been hunted for who I am dating. So this time I'm pipping you to the post and taking control of the situation,' she wrote on Instagram. 'His name is [Jordan Hemingway], a beautiful artist whose heart has restored my faith in love.' Hemingway later shared her post on his Instagram Stories, adding several black heart emojis. So who is Jordan Hemingway? He dreamed of becoming a pro skateboarder Jordan Hemingway at the Mugler womenswear spring/summer 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week last September. Born to a jazz musician father and a doctor mother, Hemingway, 33, never imagined he would become a photographer. 'I grew up in a sleepy farm town outside of Princeton, New Jersey, with nothing to do except take drugs or play sports,' he shared with 032c magazine last year. 'Skateboarding saved me and got me out. My grand delusion was that I was going to be a professional skateboarder.' He spent his childhood immersed in the skateboarding life. However, while recovering from an injury, he picked up a camera by chance and began learning how to shoot, through internet forums and message boards, practising on his friends. 'Although [skateboarding] turned out to not be my path, it was the most brilliant school of filmmaking, because you have to understand light, ratios and composition in such a complex and intuitive way,' he told the magazine. 'You come to a spot, and there's this unruly skateboarder who is going to do a trick. You have 10 minutes, he's only going to try six times, the police are coming and you are shooting on film.'
