Jitendra rose to fame with his role in Kota Factory, where he played the beloved 'Jitu Bhaiya." Reflecting on how the name became a cultural reference point, he said, 'Wo toh jo character play kiya Kota Factory main Jitu Bhaiya ke naam se toh usme se wo cheez popular hui… Bhaiya hai toh wo aur homely ho jaate hai. That's the reason ki wo term logo ne pakad li aur us naam se baar baar bulate hai." He explained that the simplicity and relatability of the name made it stick with the audience. The actor credits Panchayat and Kota Factory for giving him the creative space he always desired. 'I had been waiting for roles that resonated with the kind of work I wanted to do. With Panchayat and Kota Factory, I got that chance… that's what's also connecting with the audience." Jitendra also spoke about his early start on YouTube, which became the foundation of his fan base. 'Our sketches on YouTube played a big role in building an audience… it helped create a strong viewer base, which later supported shows like Panchayat." He reminisced about how corporate professionals and college students were the first to follow his journey, which later expanded to family audiences with Panchayat. He acknowledged the shift in audience as a significant moment in his career. 'When Panchayat came out, it reached families. It became a show people could enjoy together at home," he said. BIRAC in pact with Miltenyi Biotec India to boost India's capabilities in cell & gene therapy
HYDERABAD: In a move aimed at beefing up India's leadership in cutting-edge biotherapeutics such as cell and gene therapy (CGT), the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) has signed a strategic letter of intent (LOI) with Miltenyi Biotec India Private Limited to boost India's capabilities in CGT through capacity building, advancing clinical research and solving unmet medical needs by local manufacturing of cell therapies. The LOI was signed at the BIO International Convention 2025 that kicked off in Boston this week. Through the partnership, Miltenyi Biotec and BIRAC plan to build national capabilities and upskill scientific talent through structured training and capacity-building programmes for clinicians, researchers, and technicians in CGT manufacturing, analytics, and quality control. The collaboration also aims to expand translational research efforts through co-development of academic and multi-center studies, focusing on next-generation therapies to solve India's unmet medical needs in malignancies, autoimmune diseases and rare diseases. It will also establish point-of-care (PoC) CAR-T centers across India using automated manufacturing platforms such as Miltenyi's CliniMACS Prodigy system to enable cost-effective and scalable access to personalised CGT treatments. The initiative will also promote targeted cell therapy research and support local innovation through the identification and mentoring of Indian startups in line with the 'Make in India' mission by enhancing domestic production of critical and manufacturing components, and supporting the development of national CGT centers of excellence. Commenting on the partnership. Priya Kapoor-Hingorani, managing director, MiltenyiBiotec India, said, 'The potential of India draws us. Our partnership with BIRAC focuses on updating and upskilling scientists to strengthen the country's scientific capabilities and infrastructure. Together, we're exploring how to address current unmet needs in medical science, particularly in areas like autoimmune and rare diseases by enhancing access through innovative mechanisms such as point-of-care CAR-T and graft engineering. ' BIRAC managing director Dr Jitendra Kumar said the LOI was inked with Miltenyi, an MNC that is known for its expertise in CGT, as India is aspiring to become a global leader in this space and to achieve that goal it requires a strong foundation of skilled manpower.

Patna: Central Selection Board of Constable Recruitment (CSBC) on Thursday announced the examination schedule for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2025, marking one of the state's largest recruitment drives. A record 16,73,586 candidates have applied for 19,838 positions, highlighting the strong interest among youth in police careers. CSBC Chairman Jitendra Kumar said the examination would be held in six phases on July 16, July 20, July 23, July 27, July 30 and Aug 3. The board has introduced a range of measures to ensure a transparent and secure selection process. "To maintain examination integrity, all centres will be fitted with modern security features, including CCTV cameras, mobile jammers and biometric verification systems. Special cyber cell teams will be deployed to prevent digital fraud and surveillance will be extended to hotels, lodges and roadside establishments in examination districts to detect any suspicious activity," he said. Candidates are required to carry their admit cards and valid identification documents. Electronic devices such as cellphones, smartwatches and Bluetooth gadgets will be strictly prohibited.
