Andhra: BJP's Bhanuprakash Reddy slams Jagan's governance, alleges YSRCP promoting violence and losing public trust
Nellore (Andhra Pradesh) [India], June 21 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh BJP spokesperson Bhanuprakash Reddy on Friday launched a scathing attack against former Chief Minister and YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy over the 'Rapa Rapa' placard row. Referring to a recent incident during former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's tour of Palnadu district, Bhanu Prakash Reddy stated that instead of condemning the violence, the YSR Congress chief supported it. 'One of his supporters displayed a placard saying that if Jagan comes to power in 2029, people would be beheaded like goats during the Gangamma Jathara. Instead of condemning such shocking behaviour, Jagan shamelessly supported it. This incident exposes his split personality and reveals his true intentions,' the BJP leader told the reporters. He added, 'The YSRCP should focus on cutting coconuts and preparing flour for parotas for the rest of their lives. The people have already given their verdict in the elections, and in the next elections, the YSRCP will likely be reduced to just one or zero seats. The public is clearly happier with the NDA coalition government than with your regime.' Attacking Jagan Mohan Reddy for governance under YSR Congress' rule, Bhanu Prakash Reddy said that his failures have caused irreparable damage to the state. He stated, 'Jagan Mohan Reddy's five-year rule has brought dark days to the state. People are deeply dissatisfied with his leadership. His political approach and leadership failures have caused irreparable damage to Andhra Pradesh.' Criticising the previous administration, he added, 'During the past five years under Jagan Reddy's rule, the state has become a hub of corruption, suffering, and lawlessness. People now view Jagan as a leader who has lost his place in their hearts. The promises made to the public have vanished into thin air, while corruption has thrived.' He alleged that the YSR Congress chief has lost public trust as Jagan Mohan Reddy promoted rowdyism. 'Jagan has completely lost public trust. His political strategies have been unjust to the people. The public is steadily distancing itself from his leadership, which has encouraged a culture of rowdyism. Fueled by his campaigns, this decline in law and order has destabilised the state,' Bhanuprakash told reporters. He alleged, 'Certain incidents in the past that disturbed peace and security were deliberately planned for political gain. These acts have triggered uncertainty and unrest among the public and have severely harmed the peaceful atmosphere of Andhra Pradesh.' Bhanu Prakash reaffirmed that the BJP, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, along with its alliance partners, is fully committed to restoring peace, order, and development in Andhra Pradesh. The row began when a placard bearing the provocative slogan 'Rapa Rapa Narukutham' (we'll chop heads one by one) was seen during Jagan Mohan Reddy's tour of Palnadu on Thursday. The slogan compared a possible YSRCP return to power in 2029 to a traditional ritual during the Gangamma Jatara, where symbolic beheadings take place. The incident gained traction and drew criticism, prompting the police to register a case against the individual and initiate an investigation. Responding to the issue during a press meeting on Friday, YS Jagan made a pointed remark. He questioned, 'Is it wrong to hold a placard with a dialogue from Allu Arjun's movie Pushpa?' He further added that, upon investigation, it was revealed that the person holding the placard actually belongs to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and holds active membership in it. Taking a jab at TDP leadership, Jagan remarked, 'Maybe he couldn't tolerate the wrongdoings of his own party's leader, Chandrababu, and that's why he was talking about chopping off heads of his own people.' ‘Rappa Rappa Narukuta': Placards threaten beheadings at Jagan Mohan Reddy's rally; Ex-CM sees nothing wrong in Pushpa-2 reference, TDP slams ‘gangster' tone
VIJAYWADA: A political storm has erupted in Andhra Pradesh after placards displayed at a rally led by former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy referenced violent language and controversial slogans. Supporters at the rally in Rentapalla village, Palnadu district, were seen carrying signs proclaiming the start of a 'Raja Reddy constitution' and threatening to 'chop off the heads of political opponents one by one just like chopping the heads during animal sacrifice ceremony in Gangamma Thalli Jathara (Rappa Rappa narukutham),' a line from the upcoming film Pushpa 2 . When questioned, Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared to downplay the slogans, saying in a press conference, 'What is wrong in displaying a dialogue from the Pushpa movie,' prompting swift backlash from the ruling TDP. Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the incident revealed the 'criminal mindset' of the opposition. 'Politicians used to hesitate even to be seen with people with criminal background but now we have an opposition which is doing politics with only criminals,' he said, referencing the 2019 murder of Jagan's uncle, Y S Vivekananda Reddy. 'The Rappa Rappa language used by them indicating what kind of mindset they are in,' Naidu added, urging voters to reflect on the 'antecedents, criminal history and mindset' of leaders. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo Finance minister Payyavula Keshav was more direct. Chandrababu Naidu failed as CM, anti-incumbency set in: Jagan Mohan Reddy
VIJAYAWADA: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the overwhelming response to his recent tours was a standing testimony to the huge anti-incumbency that has set in within one year of the TDP-led NDA government. Speaking to the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli on Thursday, Jagan said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is scared due to his failure in governance, and that his impatience is being manifested in diversion politics, and foisting false cases against political opponents. 'The modus operandi is to catch a small person like a gunman or a PA, use coercion methods to seek confession, and file cases against popular YSRCP leaders who support me, unmindful of the fact that people can see through his game,' Jagan deplored. He pointed out that the 'Betrayal Day' observed on June 4 received an overwhelming response from the public, showing that anti-incumbency has set in very fast, as none of the NDA Super Six promises have been implemented. Jagan questioned the repressive methods being adopted by the NDA government, citing his visit to Sattenapalli on Wednesday under curfew-like conditions. 'What is wrong if the Opposition leader visits to console a family, and people are coming in large numbers as they are vexed with the government, and are looking towards the YSRCP?' he asked. YSRCP leaders and those close to him are being jailed based on fabricated cases built on false confessions, he said. 'Atrocities on women and young girls are growing, and no complaint is being received, nor is any investigation taken up. Only after the Kuppam incident was trolled on social media, Naidu reacted. Farmers are in distress, and not getting MSP for any crop,' he rued. Sharmila's phone tapping charge refuted Jagan refuted the charges of APCC chief YS Sharmila that her phone, along with those of her husband and close associates, were tapped during the previous BRS regime in Telangana, and the YSRCP rule in AP. He said the BRS regime might have tapped her phone as she was playing a crucial role in Telangana through her political party at that time, and reiterated that the YSRCP has no role in the rumours going viral on social media.

Ex-CM Jagan Reddy alleges law & order deteriorated in AP
Vijayawada, June 19 (UNI) Alleging that Chandrababu Naidu is scared for his failure in governance and his impatience is being manifested in diversion politics and foisting false cases against political opponents, former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday claimed the overwhelming response to his recent visits is a standing testimony of the huge anti-incumbency that rose within one year. Speaking to the media here, Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu is misusing power to muzzle the voice of opposition leaders. The huge success of Betrayal Day which got an overwhelming response shows that anti-incumbency has set in very fast as none of the Super Six promises were implemented and law and order deteriorated with harassment and false cases, he claimed. 'I visited Sattenapalli on Wednesday in a curfew-like situation which shows the measure of repressive methods being adopted by Chandrababu Naidu government. What is wrong if the Opposition leader visits to console a family and people are coming in large numbers as they are vexed with the government and are looking towards YSRCP,' he questioned. 'The YSRCP leaders, who are close to Jagan Mohan Reddy, are being jailed based on false cases based on confessional statements by small people. This is how Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Dhanunjaya Reddy, Krishnamohan Reddy, Raj Kasireddy, Nandigama Suresh and others were held and trying to implicate Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and P V Mithun Reddy,' he slammed. The apex court had to use its discretionary powers to grant bail to Kommineni Srinivasa Rao who was arrested using the same modus operandi. Then what action should be taken against those TDP workers and leaders who attacked Sakshi properties at multiple locations which is nothing short of unbridled rowdyism, he asked. "Farmers are in distress and not getting MSP for any crop. They are forced to sell paddy for Rs 300 less and five farmers have committed suicides. The government has no concern, and if anyone questions, Chandrababu Naidu says that dissent and Opposition will be grounded," Jagan Mohan Reddy lashed out. UNI DP SS
