Celebrating Sustainable Cooking Worldwide
Pasant Elzaitony_ Israa Farhat Every year on 18 June, the world celebrates Sustainable Gastronomy Day, a global call to value food traditions while embracing eco-friendly practices in kitchens and communities. This day emphasizes the role of cooking as a cultural legacy and its impact on sustainable food production and consumption. Sustainable gastronomy goes beyond recipes, it's about resourceful meal planning, supporting local farmers, and cutting food waste. In an era dominated by fast food marketing and processed meals high in saturated fats and calories, it reminds families to return to home-cooked, nutrient-rich meals made from local, seasonal ingredients. Key Goals of the Day: • Celebrate cultural and environmental diversity through traditional dishes that reflect regional identities. • Encourage sustainable consumption by reducing food waste and appreciating local produce. • Promote food awareness by understanding how what we eat affects ecosystems and economies. • Recognize the role of chefs in fostering healthier, more sustainable food choices. • Support the UN Sustainable Development Goals by contributing to food security and sustainable agriculture. read more 15 Ludicrous Cosplay Costumes That Will Blow You Away Watch... Black Salt: Natural Skincare Secret for Radiant, Smooth Skin
Pasant Elzaitony_ Israa Farhat In the world of natural skincare, black salt is emerging as a powerful ingredient known for its ability to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and rejuvenate the skin. This mineral-rich salt, often used in Ayurvedic and holistic treatments, offers a wide range of benefits that can help transform dull, oily, or rough skin into a healthy, glowing complexion. Black salt, also known as Kala Namak, is a volcanic rock salt packed with minerals like iron, sulfur, and magnesium. While it's commonly used in culinary traditions, it's also gaining popularity in skincare for its detoxifying and revitalizing effects. 1. Deep Cleansing and Exfoliation Black salt acts as a natural exfoliant. It gently removes dead skin cells, dirt, and impurities trapped in pores, leaving the skin clean, refreshed, and glowing. 2. Oil Control and Acne Prevention By helping to regulate excess oil production, black salt can reduce the appearance of pimples and blackheads, especially for those with oily or combination skin. 3. Improved Blood Circulation Black salt stimulates blood circulation when massaged into the skin. This increased circulation boosts oxygen and nutrient delivery to skin cells, aiding in cell renewal and a more youthful look. 4. Skin Brightening and Tone Enhancement Thanks to its mild abrasive and antioxidant properties, black salt may contribute to skin lightening and a more even skin tone. 5. Smoother, Softer Skin Texture Using black salt regularly can help soften rough patches, reduce flakiness, and smooth out cracks, leaving your skin silky and healthy-looking. How to Use Black Salt in Your Skincare Routine 1. Exfoliating Face Scrub Mix black salt with water or a carrier oil (like coconut or jojoba oil) to create a gentle scrub. Apply to the face in circular motions, avoiding harsh rubbing. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. 2. Deep Pore Cleanser Blend black salt with a facial cleanser or plain water for a detoxifying skin wash. Gently massage into the skin and rinse to remove buildup and excess oil. read more 15 Ludicrous Cosplay Costumes That Will Blow You Away Watch... Summer Skincare Tips for Healthy Skin at Home
Pasant Elzaitony_ Israa Farhat As summer arrives and social events become more frequent, maintaining clear and radiant skin becomes a top priority. After months of cold weather, many people notice their skin appears dull, flaky or uneven. But you don't need expensive salon treatments to get glowing skin. With a few simple ingredients from your kitchen, you can refresh your skin naturally at home. These DIY beauty tips are easy, affordable and highly effective for summer skincare. *Banana and Cornflour Face Mask for Firm and Smooth Skin To instantly tighten and hydrate your skin, mash half a ripe banana and mix it with one teaspoon of cornflour. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. This natural face mask nourishes the skin, improves elasticity, and leaves it feeling soft and smooth after the first use. It's a perfect homemade remedy for a quick glow-up. *Tea Tree Oil for Sudden Breakouts If you notice a sudden pimple, apply one drop of tea tree oil directly onto the spot before going to bed. This essential oil helps reduce inflammation and dries out the blemish quickly. By morning, you'll see a noticeable improvement without needing harsh chemicals. *Potato Juice to Reduce Dark Circles and Eye Puffiness Grate a raw potato and squeeze out the juice. Using a cotton pad, gently dab the juice under your eyes every other day. Potato juice is rich in natural brightening agents and helps reduce dark circles while calming puffy or tired skin. This simple remedy can make your eyes look more refreshed and awake. *Milk Powder and Rose Water Mask to Brighten the Neck The neck area often gets neglected but can show signs of discolouration. Mix one tablespoon of milk powder with a few drops of rose water until it forms a smooth paste. Apply it to your neck and leave it on for 15 minutes. This mask works to lighten dark patches and even out skin tone, especially after winter. *Aloe Vera Gel for Shaped and Nourished Eyebrows To keep your eyebrows looking well-groomed and healthy, apply natural aloe vera gel every night before sleeping. Aloe vera hydrates the hair, encourages natural growth, and helps maintain the shape of your brows. It's a gentle and effective way to improve eyebrow texture and fullness. *Sugar and Olive Oil Scrub for Smooth, Soft Feet To get sandal-ready feet, mix sugar with olive oil and store it in a jar for weekly use. Rub the mixture on your heels and soles to remove dead skin. This scrub instantly softens rough patches and gives your feet a healthy, pinkish glow. It's ideal for summer foot care and makes wearing open-toe shoes more comfortable and confident. read more 15 Ludicrous Cosplay Costumes That Will Blow You Away Watch... 8 Natural Beauty Hacks for Fresh Glow
Pasant Elzaitony_ Israa Farhat Achieving a naturally radiant look doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. With just a few minutes a day and simple ingredients you likely already have at home, you can elevate your natural beauty without the need for heavy makeup or costly treatments. Here are eight tried-and-true beauty hacks that work wonders for your skin and overall glow: 1. Frozen Coffee Cubes for Dark Circles Brew plain Turkish coffee, let it cool, and pour it into an ice tray. Every morning, glide a cube gently under your eyes. It helps tighten the skin, reduce puffiness, and lighten dark circles over time. 2. Cornstarch as a Budget-Friendly Setting Powder Skip the expensive setting powders. A light dusting of cornstarch after applying your foundation can set your makeup beautifully, leaving your skin with a smooth, matte finish. 3. Rose Water and Vitamin C Spray for Instant Radiance Mix natural rose water with one Vitamin C capsule and use it as a facial toner spray. It brightens your complexion, refines pores, and delivers a fresh glow with every spritz. 4. Green Tea Bags for Pimples After enjoying a cup of green tea, take the damp tea bag and place it on any blemishes. It soothes inflammation and visibly reduces redness and irritation. 5. Vaseline and Baby Powder as a Natural Highlighter Blend a tiny bit of Vaseline with a pinch of baby powder and dab it on the tops of your cheekbones. It gives you a subtle, dewy glow without layering on makeup. 6. Lip Scrub with Ground Rice and Honey Grind a small amount of rice into a fine powder and mix it with honey. Use this mixture to gently exfoliate your lips, leaving them soft, smooth, and naturally pink from the first use. 7. Olive Oil and Coffee Face Massage Mix a few drops of olive oil with a dash of coffee grounds and use it to massage your face in circular motions. This improves blood circulation, tightens the skin, and gives your face a refreshed, healthy appearance. 8. Peppermint Oil for Naturally Fuller Lips Apply a very small amount of diluted peppermint oil to your lips. It boosts circulation, giving your lips a naturally plump and rosy look. read more 15 Ludicrous Cosplay Costumes That Will Blow You Away Watch...
