Pasant Elzaitony_ Israa Farhat
Cairo's Diplomatic Club recently hosted an exclusive exhibition celebrating Egypt's leading fashion designers and top-tier handcrafted brands.
Organized under the patronage of Mrs Naglaa Abdel Salam and invited by the Egyptian Council for Fashion and Design, the event brought together an elite audience to spotlight the flourishing Egyptian fashion industry.
Among the distinguished attendees were spouses of Arab and foreign ambassadors in Egypt, including the wives of the Tunisian and Kuwaiti ambassadors, alongside prominent Egyptian society figures. The showcase highlighted both innovation and tradition, demonstrating the country's growing presence in global fashion and luxury design.
Renowned designer Shahira Fahmy presented her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, embracing the vibrant Mix and Match trend. Dina Shaker followed with a striking series of designs crafted from hand-woven textiles, reaffirming the power of Egypt's artisanal roots.
Silvia Nasrallah also displayed handcrafted products from the village of Nagada, bringing authentic Egyptian heritage into the spotlight. Designer Birhat Abou Zeid introduced a unique collection, further enriching the diversity of the exhibition.
One of the standout features of the event was a homegrown Egyptian perfume brand called Made in Egypt.
Created by Egyptian perfumer Loretana Shafik, the label showcased a luxurious range of modern fragrances featuring notes of Egyptian rose, oud, musk, and lavender—blending heritage and elegance in each bottle.
Additionally, high-end Egyptian-made footwear and leather handbags demonstrated the finesse and quality of local craftsmanship. The jewellery collections displayed were equally impressive, featuring refined, handcrafted pieces that highlighted both aesthetic innovation and artisanal mastery.
The event left a lasting impression on the attending diplomatic guests, who expressed deep admiration for Egypt's flourishing fashion and jewelry scene.
With every product proudly marked Made in Egypt, the showcase reaffirmed the country's ability to compete with top international luxury brands.

Hadia Ghaleb & 2oolameme Are Making a Card Game About Ambition

Hadia Ghaleb & 2oolameme Are Making a Card Game About Ambition Set to release on 21st June, Tomoo7y Katel is game is built around Ghaleb's own public-facing, hustle-heavy, occasionally chaotic experience of carving space as a digital-first Arab woman. What happens when two For You page veterans, after spending the better part of a decade building digital empires, drop a card game together? You get Tomoo7y Katel - part gameplay, part personality quiz, part group therapy for anyone who's ever been chronically online and dangerously ambitious. At first glance, it's an unlikely pairing. In this corner you've got Hadia Ghaleb, fashion entrepreneur, globe-trotter, and full-time poster girl for curated chaos. Then you have Sarah Abouelkhair, the founder of 2oolameme, meme queen turned CEO, architect of Egypt's funniest corners of the internet. Despite operating with different vibes, they've been working off the same blueprint of 'build your own lane, take the comments, keep posting anyway'. So, they teamed up. Because why not turn the most screenshot-worthy parts of your public life into playable cards? Tomoo7y Katel invites players to collect Tomoo7 cards (ambitions, wins, milestones) while dodging Talakeek (haters, trolls, and vibe-killers) using 7odood cards to block the noise and keep climbing. First to hold 10 dreams, wins. But only if they survive the chaos. The game is basically Hadia's internet presence on cardstock. There's the silver car. The cover story. The mum's voice notes. Even the trolls get a moment. "This game is my story, but it's also every woman's story,' Ghaleb tells us. 'I've always believed ambition is a beautiful thing - no matter how many people try to kill it.' "It's a celebration of what happens when women write their own narratives - loudly, unapologetically, and with a whole lot of wit,' Abouelkhair adds. The game is the feed. It's your comments section. It's your algorithm on shuffle. And somehow, it's also your cousin screaming 'who threw this Talkeeka at me?!' across the table at 1 AM. And it will soon be available for all the hustlers and ragebaiters starting June 21st, 2025.

Find Your Dream Dress from Georges Hobeika's 2026 Bridal Collection

Pasant Elzaitony - Yara Sameh The wedding dress is the most important thing in every woman's life. As brides-to-be carry on an endless search for the perfect dress for their special day, there are important questions that need to be addressed: What is the best wedding dress? And how to combine fashion and elegance in the bridal dress? Find your answers and inspiration from the world-famous Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika's Spring 2026 collection. By Georges Hobeika • While the world keeps a close eye on war, high prices, and tension, fashion designers look to the other side of politics. Therefore, Hobeika's collection captures softness, romanticism, elegance, and sophistication, all removed from the hustle and bustle of embroidery and the exaggerated sparkle of rhinestones. He used lace and guipure embroidery to achieve classic elegance with a modern, youthful perspective while relying on small, repeating units in asymmetrical shapes. By Georges Hobeika • Make sure the wedding dress expresses your personality and fits your body. Don't follow trends and fashion. Choose a modern design that reflects your spirit and personality and suits your height, weight, and skin tone. Also, keep in mind the groom's personality. If he's open-minded, he'll allow you to wear an unconventional dress, perhaps a short or sleeveless gown. If he's a conservative person, he'd opt for a modest dress. It is distasteful to choose a dress that doesn't suit the groom's personality and a risky nasty surprise on your special day. By Georges Hobeika • Focus on simplicity and avoid extravagant embroidery, cuts, and fabrics. Elegance doesn't come from adding many details to the design. Make sure you choose a shade of white, whether it's bright white (which suits white skin) or off-white (which suits wheatish complexion). • Make sure to try on the dress and measure it if you're buying it readymade. If a designer customizes it for you, make sure to try on a similar cut. If you're relying on a private designer, choose a designer whose ideas and style you're confident in. • Make sure to choose a dress that suits the venue where you'll be holding the wedding. If the ceremony is small and the space is cramped, opt for a bodycon dress. If the venue is open and spacious, opt for loose cuts. • Ultimately, your wedding dress and your and your groom's look will be a memory that carries on for decades.
