Indiramma Housing Scheme Proceedings Distributed to Beneficiaries in Gattu Mandal: MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy and District Collector BM Santosh Lead the Initiative
Gadwal: In a significant welfare initiative under the Telangana state government, sanctioned proceedings for Indiramma Housing Scheme were distributed to eligible beneficiaries in Gattu Mandal of Gadwal constituency. The distribution ceremony was held with local MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, District Collector B.Y.M. Santosh, and Additional Collector Lakshminarayana attending as chief guests. As part of the government's mission to fulfill the dream of homeownership for the underprivileged, the MLA and the District Collector personally handed over the Indiramma Housing approval documents to deserving families. In recognition of their commitment to public service, local leaders and PACS Chairman honored the guests with shawls and floral bouquets. MLA's Address: Speaking on the occasion, MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy highlighted the developmental strides being made in Gattu Mandal, which was once known for migration due to poverty. He mentioned that since taking office, he had consistently worked to secure government funding to develop the region. He proudly stated that Gattu Mandal is now witnessing improvement in various sectors, including education, where local students are now securing jobs as teachers, police officers, and gaining admissions in medical colleges. The MLA further said that under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's leadership, the state government has already fulfilled two of the six major guarantees promised during the election campaign, such as free bus travel for women, subsidized LPG cylinders at ₹500, 200 units of free electricity, farmer loan waivers, Rythu Bandhu support, ration cards, and fine rice distribution. He emphasized that for families who have lived in rented huts for generations, the government is now sanctioning ₹5 lakhs per house under the Indiramma Housing Scheme to build permanent homes. In the first phase, 3,500 houses have been sanctioned for the Gadwal constituency, of which 780 houses are allotted to Gattu Mandal. He reassured the public: 'There's no need for concern. Every eligible person will receive their due benefits under the welfare schemes.' Collector's Remarks: District Collector B.Y.M. Santosh echoed the state government's commitment to eradicating hut dwellings across Telangana through the prestigious Indiramma Housing Scheme, with 3,500 houses allocated per constituency. He urged beneficiaries to begin construction within 45 days, as the disbursement of funds would follow the stages of construction directly into their bank accounts. The Collector also assured that a second phase of allotment will soon begin to cover more needy families. Highlighting the rapid transformation, he noted that Gattu Mandal, once labeled among the most backward areas in Asia, is now progressing in various sectors, including education and healthcare, thanks to the continued efforts of the local leadership. He concluded by urging parents to prioritize education for their children, discourage child marriages, and focus on nurturing an educated future generation. Kaleshwaram project row: If found guilty, no one will be spared, warns Revenue Min Ponguleti
MULUGU: Dismissing the claims of political vendetta behind the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the execution of the Kaleshwaram project, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Wednesday said that once the PC Ghose Commission submits its report, those involved will have to 'face the consequences for their misdeeds.' Speaking to the media in Mulugu, the minister said: 'There is no question of any political revenge in this issue. The Central commission is conducting the inquiry. After the Commission submits its report, the culprits will have to face the consequences. No matter who they are and what their status is, they will not be spared.' 'The previous BRS regime had projected the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme as the eighth wonder of the world. The Kalvakuntla family looted the state while pillars of the project caved in during the BRS regime itself,' he added. 'KCR, the self-declared 'father of Telangana', deposed before the PC Ghose Commission. None of the people who were involved in this scam will be excluded from this inquiry,' he further said. Stating that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy protected the Kaleshwaram project by taking up temporary repair works, he said: 'The flaws in the project design, defects in its execution and damage caused to its various components will be revealed once the Commission of Inquiry submits its report. Then the courts will deal with it as per law.' 'The Congress government will neither spare those responsible for Kaleshwaram scam nor those involved in phone-tapping, land-grabbing, and Mission Bhagiratha scams,' he added. Earlier, Srinivas Reddy, along with Panchayati Raj & Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya alias Seethakka and MP P Balaram Naik, distributed sanction letters for Indiramma Housing Scheme beneficiaries at Incherla village in Mulugu district. They also laid the foundation stone for the construction of houses in the Indiramma Colony of the village. Stating that the government had sanctioned 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses in the first phase across the state, he said that the highest allocation of 5,000 houses was made in the Mulugu Assembly constituency. Later in the day, Srinivasa Reddy and Seethakka took part in the Bhu Bharathi Revenue Sadassulu programme at Govindaraopet village and interacted with the applicants.

Bhatti Vikramarka Vows to Turn Palamuru's Drylands Green with Timely Completion of Lift Irrigation Project
Mahabubnagar: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka reiterated the Telangana government's firm commitment to completing the long-delayed Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and transforming the parched lands of Mahabubnagar into fertile agricultural zones. Speaking at a massive public meeting after laying foundation stones for power infrastructure projects worth ₹72 crore in Moosapet mandal of Devarakadra constituency, the Deputy CM accused previous governments of neglecting the region and misleading people with hollow promises. Bhatti Vikramarka laid the foundation for one 132/33 kV substation and twelve 33/11 kV substations, signaling the government's intent to improve power supply to rural and farming communities. He announced that all necessary funds for completing the irrigation project—including for resettlement, rehabilitation, and land acquisition—will be released without delay. He cited the approval of ₹70 crore for the Uddandapur R&R package as evidence of the government's sincerity. He sharply criticized the previous BRS regime, questioning why the Palamuru-Rangareddy project, launched in 2015 with a foundation stone laid by then CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao, remained incomplete even after ten years. He condemned the symbolic activation of pumps just before elections as nothing more than a publicity stunt and stated that the Congress-led administration, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is now working with a genuine people-centric approach. The Deputy CM also highlighted key welfare initiatives being rolled out by the government. He noted that 4.5 lakh houses are being constructed under the Indiramma Housing Scheme with an allocation of ₹22,500 crore. For Devarakadra alone, 3,500 houses have been sanctioned. Other major schemes include 24x7 free power supply to farmers, free 200 units of domestic electricity to 50 lakh households, free RTC travel for women, and the launch of the 'Rajiv Yuva Vikasam' scheme to support five lakh unemployed youth. He also announced the ₹12,600 crore 'Indira Solar Girijana Vikasam' for the benefit of tribal communities through solar pumps, borewells, and cultivation support on 6.7 lakh acres. At Nawabpet in Jadcherla constituency, Bhatti Vikramarka laid the foundation for a 132/33 kV substation with an outlay of ₹42 crore and sixteen 33/11 kV substations costing ₹54.37 crore. In his address, he slammed the previous government for betraying Palamuru and assured that the Congress government would set a new benchmark in governance. On this occasion, 200 sewing machines were distributed to minority women and Indiramma housing documents were handed over to beneficiaries. The event witnessed the participation of Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, MLAs Anirudh Reddy, Madhusudan Reddy, and Megha Reddy, District Collector G. Vijayendra Boi, and senior officials from TRANSCO, TGSPSCDL, and other departments. DCCB Chairman Vishnu Vardhan Reddy was also present. Several development proposals including new hospitals, colleges, transformer repair centers, and trauma care units were also discussed during the meeting.

Ponguleti hands over sanction letters
Khammam: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, on Wednesday, distributed sanction letters to the Indiramma Housing Scheme beneficiaries of Edulapuram Municipality area along with District Collector Muzammil Khan and Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt. Speaking on the occasion, Ponguleti said that he was moved to tears when he saw the joy on the faces of the beneficiaries, who received the sanction documents on the day. He said that the response from them was overwhelming. He said that attention was paid by previous rulers on MLA residences and government buildings and not to the houses of the poor people. 'Their dream of owning a house was ignored,' he said. The minister said that the government has allocated Rs 22,500 crore this year for the dream of owning a house for the poor people, and that despite financial difficulties, the welfare of the poor is paramount. He said that the government will sanction houses in the first phase to the poor living in huts. The minister said that the houses being provided to the people at present are only the first phase, and that Indiramma houses will be sanctioned every year. 'In total, 520 people in the Yedulapuram Municipality received the documents. There are still those who are eligible, and they will also be given houses soon,' said Ponguleti.

Ponguleti Promises Homes for All Under Indiramma Scheme
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has assured that all eligible people will receive homes under the Indiramma Housing Scheme. He announced that 4.5 lakh houses are being built in the first phase. On Wednesday, he took part in a program at Satyanarayanapuram in Khammam district, where land documents (pattas) were given to beneficiaries. Ponguleti criticized BRS leaders for spreading false claims about the scheme. He said his government is sincere and committed to helping the poor, unlike the previous government. He shared that the government plans to build 20 lakh houses over the next four years. In the Paleru constituency, he promised to give a house to the eldest son in every eligible family. He added that even though the state's financial situation is difficult, the government is still issuing ration cards. So far, 19 lakh new names have been added. Ponguleti accused the previous KCR-led government of pushing Telangana into debt. He said the state now pays ₹6,500 crore in monthly interest on loans taken earlier. He criticized the past government for spending on luxury buildings instead of helping the poor. He said the focus should have been on public welfare, not political gain.
