Pat Cash reveals sad reason for repeatedly turning down I'm A Celebrity
Pat Cash reveals sad reason for repeatedly turning down I'm A Celebrity In an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper, Pat said: "I'm not sure I'm capable of doing the jungle Wimbledon champion Pat Cash (Image: Justin Stead ) Pat Cash says his previous "bad bouts" of "anxiety and depression" forced him to turn down I'm A Me Out Of Here! The 60-year-old former professional tennis player has been asked to take part in the successful ITV1 jungle survival reality show many times over the years, but he refused as he dreaded socialising with people in the New South Wales, Australia-based outback for around three weeks. In an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper, Pat said: "I'm not sure I'm capable of doing the jungle. "The reality is I'm not a particularly social person. I like my friends but I find a lot of people quite annoying. "I have had bad bouts of anxiety and depression in my lifetime and I didn't want to be locked in somewhere for a few weeks." Pat has also refused to take part in the hit BBC One reality show, Strictly Come Dancing. Article continues below Speaking about the Latin and Ballroom dancing programme, he shared: "Strictly gave up on me. I'm actually really shy." Pat - who is remembered for winning the Wimbledon men's singles championship in 1987, and climbing the stands to celebrate - declared his appearance on The Masked Singer in 2022 was "just about the most nerve-wracking thing" he has done. The star - who was unmasked as Bagpipes after performing the Wheatus hit Teenage Dirtbag on Love-themed week four - told host Joel Dommett: "The thing I'm probably most famous for is climbing through the stands. In sporting events, nobody did that before I did it. But I'm sort of a frustrated rock guitarist. I had a band a little bit, for a little while and I call myself the 'emergency singer'. I liked the idea that I could just focus on myself. Ironically, it's strange, seeing the crowd is quite nerve-wracking. "I've played the centre court at Wimbledon but coming on here is just about the most nerve-wracking thing ever. "But what a great experience, I'm very very lucky." Pat turned 60 last month, but he only feels his age when he goes for a run or is on a tennis court. The sporting legend - who retired from professional tennis in 1997 due to injuries - said: "I don't feel like I'm 60, except when I go for a run and my hip plays up, or on a tennis court I think, 'Oh no, this is not much fun.' Article continues below "But these things are bound to happen when you've played 40 years of professional sport."

Coleen Rooney's mercy mission to meet Ukrainian child victims of Putin's war
Devoted Coleen has told how her four boys inspired her to meet with displaced families suffering because of the years-long Russian invasion Coleen Rooney today revealed she thought of her children as she made a mercy dash to meet bombed-out kids left devastated by Vladmir Putin 's bloodthirsty war in Ukraine. The devoted mum, 39, told how she was inspired by her four boys - Kai, 15, Klay, 12, Kit, nine, and Cass, seven - as she jetted into Poland to meet families who fled their homes as the conflict erupted. And the former I'm A Celebrity... star, 39, revealed she thought of her adopted sister, Rosie, who died aged 14 in 2013 after a lifelong battle with Rett syndrome, as she met disabled refugee kids. The war in Ukraine has displaced families at a scale and speed not seen since World War Two. Almost nine million people have fled into Poland since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 2022. And during a trip to a UNICEF Educational Rehabilitation School, Coleen met fitness coach Kateryna and her seven-year-old son, Murat, who has learning difficulties and is unable to speak. They fled Nikolayev - the frontline of Volodymyr Zelenskyy defense against Putin's brutal regime - and made a two-day bus trip of nearly 700 miles to find safety in Krakow. Speaking exclusively to the Mirror about her encounter with stricken mothers forced from their homes, Coleen said: "As a mum, your first thought was what would you do? What goes through your mind is just to protect the children and make sure that they are OK. And that's exactly what these mum's were doing, they got out of Ukraine. "I spoke to one lovely mum, Kateryna, who said a tank blew up outside her house. They had their son behind double walls in the house so that if anything hit the house, they were protected by the outer wall." "She showed me videos of what was happening and that resonates with you, because of that protective instinct." She added: "I can relate to being a mum and the first thing in that situation is to get out of danger, to just make sure the kids are OK. But I couldn't imagine what was going through their heads, the emotions." Almost 1.6 million refugees are in Poland and around 90 per cent of them are women and children. Exclusive footage given to the Mirror shows children swarming over Coleen as she met children at a UNICEF centre catering for disabled youngsters. And today Coleen, who tied the knot with football legend Wayne Rooney, 39, in 2008, told how the trip evoked memories of her beloved younger sister, Rosie. Coleen said: "One of the schools was for children with disabilities. And I grew up in that environment, my sister went to a school like that. "It was just like where they were, with music therapy, physiotherapy and all those things for the sensors. I felt so comfortable, it wasn't a shock. That was probably the easiest visit of my time in Poland." "Because I've experienced that and I felt comfortable there." Coleen also visited a Spilno Hub, in Krakow, which supports families who've fled the war, providing psycho-social support to help them deal with the horrors of war. She met Yuliia, her sister Olisia and Yuliia's daughter Anastasiia – known as Nastia, aged four. They have been in Krakow for three years, travelling from Kryvvi Rih on an evacuation train carrying just a backpack each. As they fled they turned their phones off to help them go undetected by missiles. Now Coleen has told how the trip helped "open her eyes" to the reality of war and the devastating impact it has. Coleen said: "I wouldn't say it's affected me, but it's given me a big insight into what's going on around the world and the aftermath. You know, you think it is over, it's not. These people have been hit with trauma and it's hard for them to move on. "They're doing what they can but it could affect them for their entire lives. That's what struck me, we see things on the news, but we don't think that much into it." "It was a real eye opener to see the disruption to people's lives." She added: "It's quite a humbling thing to see. "But I think the great thing is that despite the tragedies there are people that are willing to go above and beyond for people out there." But despite the harrowing trauma suffered by children during the conflict, Coleen said the mental care they were receiving was paying dividends. She added: "There was one place we visited and what really stuck with me was, they showed me all the artwork the children had done when they had initially arrived from Ukraine. "There were lots of dark colours and it was really quite moody and it was quite upsetting to see. But after being there for a while they clearly lifted and the artwork was full of lots of colour. The children have been receiving therapy and it shows that it really works." Coleen visited Krakow with UNICEF to see how donations to the Soccer Aid charity game support refugee children. Husband and ex-Man United and England legend Wayne is taking on a player-manager role alongside the likes of comedian Paddy McGuinness, Olympic hero Sir Mo Farah and One Direction star Louis Tomlinson. Coleen said: "Soccer Aid is a big part of our family, it's been a yearly thing in the calendar for the last, I don't know how many years. And my boys love attending and Wayne obviously is involved so we're looking forward to seeing him. And then my youngest Cass is going to be one of the mascots, so it's a real family affair." Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2025 will take place on Sunday June 15 at Old Trafford, and will be shown live exclusively on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

Danny Jones' wife Georgia delivers brutal snub after worrying marriage claim
McFly singer Danny Jones and his wife Georgia are said to be like 'passing ships' months after the singer was filmed kissing Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards afterparty Singer Danny Jones and his wife Georgia faced a tough time earlier this year – after the McFly singer was pictured kissing his I'm A Celebrity... campmate Maura Higgins at a showbiz bash. Danny, 39, and Georgia, 38, are now reportedly like 'passing ships in the night' nearly two months on from the scandal, which Danny issued a public apology for. King of the I'm A Celebrity jungle Danny and his campmate Maura were filmed sharing in a drunken kiss at a boozy BRIT Awards afterparty, before the pair reportedly partied together until 6am. Georgia, who shares son Cooper with the McFly rocker, temporarily moved out of their family home but moved back in and Danny apologised to his wife and son in a public statement. Meanwhile, ex Love Islander Maura, 34, has remained tight-lipped on the matter and has busied herself with new career projects and trips away with friends. While the married couple navigate their new lives post-kiss, Georgia gave fans an update on 'life lately' as she posted a string of snaps on her Instagram. Snaps shared by Georgia showed her spending time with friends, working on upcoming projects and soaking up special moments with her son Cooper, who is seen playing a guitar and posing with friends before attempting a Go Ape course. As Georgia shared the snaps, she wrote in the caption: "Life lately… Friends, family, filming, fresh air and fun… lots of lovely fun", which she ended with a blue heart emoji. However, one person was noticeably missing from the 16 photos posted by Georgia; her husband Danny. The supposed Instagram snub comes amid reports that Georgia and Danny, who have been married for 10 years after meeting in 2009, are like 'passing ships' as they try and move past the tough time. A source has claimed to the Daily Mail:"Danny and Georgia have been trying to navigate a very difficult time in their marriage and for the best part they have been taking each day as it comes. "They may be living under the same roof, but they barely see each other and right now are like passing ships. "Danny is preparing for his summer gigs with McFly, and Georgia has been attending influencer events and collaborating with brands, all while looking after son, Cooper, who regularly features on her Instagram profile." The mole went on to claim that, while the pair aren't working Danny 'goes out on his motorbike' or heads to the gym to workout, while 'Georgia is either on her own or spending time with family and girlfriends'. Danny and Georgia 'haven't been seen publicly together in six weeks' and it's been claimed that 'their relationship is anything but normal' of late. Following the kiss scandal, Danny issued a public apology in which he said: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately. "I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny." Maura, meanwhile, has stayed silent on the matter.

Tulisa shows off painful bloodied nose after undergoing six beauty treatments
N-Dubz and I'm A Celebrity... star Tulisa Contostavlos travelled to London for a 'beauty day' as she revealed the six treatments she undergoes to remain looking youthful Tulisa showcased her scraped and bloodied nose after undergoing six beauty treatments as she joked 'no pain no gain'. The N-Dubz singer, 36, took to her Instagram Stories to reveal how she maintains a glowing and youthful look as she travelled to London for a 'beauty day'. "How many treatments can you get in one day back to back?," she joked as she spoke to the camera while lying down on a salon bed as an expert worked on a 'muscle lifting' treatment, which is said to tighten facial muscles. She said: "It enhances your muscles and gives you this snatched look on your face." She then showed her next 'needling' treatment on her scarring, which required her to apply numbing cream before. "I'm going to be a little bit red after this," Tulisa said. The singer later returned to her Stories while sitting in her car. The star turned her face from side to side as she revealed the blood and redness on her cheeks and nose. "As you can see, I'm really red. I look like I've been smacked in the face and it's fine because it will go dow in a few days. The nose is extra sore because it's so close to the bone," Tulisa explained to fans before adding: "No pain, no gain!" She also underwent a collagen wave treatment, which uses radio frequency. The procedure works by using heat to stimulate fibroblasts - the cells responsible for generating collagen and elastin. The star took a little break and had a full body massage and reflexology before continuing on to her next few treatments. After completing all her treatments, Tulisa prepared to return to Manchester and said the healing process would taken two days to a week. She said: "I should be ready to rumble by the weekend." She ended her video with a light-hearted: "Beauty secrets by T. You're welcome." Last year, Tulisa opened up about overcoming a major health struggle during a chat with Paul C Brunson. The star said: "I will tell you that running up to I'm A Celeb, during lockdown, I unfortunately became dependent on benzodiazepine. So we're talking zopiclones and diazepam. "I had a backlog of them for flying, for sleeping issues from the trial, tons of them. I was alone during lockdown. I found out my dog had cancer. I got very depressed and I began self medicating. "Now, as lockdown finished, for me it was time to get back to reality. I was like, 'I can't numb myself every day and this anxiety, I can't get to sleep with a sleeper every night. I can't have a diazepam when it hits 9pm to calm me down. So it's time to stop.'' After realising she was becoming dependent on the medications, Tulisa decided to quit them. "Anyway, I came to the point where I was like, 'Enough is enough. I don't care how bad it feels when I don't take it, I'm gonna stop taking it,'' she shared. 'So I just went cold turkey for five days and I ended up in hospital because I didn't know, but my body had become dependent on it."

Danny Jones marriage 'in crisis' amid fears of new Maura Higgins kiss video leak
Danny Jones' marriage has been left in 'crisis' following the Maura Higgins kiss video leak, and now there are fears a second cip could surface online. The McFly singer, 38, was spotted kissing his I'm A Celebrity.... Get Me Out Of Here! co-star, 34, last week at a BRIT Awards after party, with the video later emerging online. Since then, the musician has been in 'crisis talks' with his wife, Georgia Horsley, 37, in an effort to save their marriage of 11 years. Read more: Danny Jones' wife Georgia is 'hurt' and focusing on their son following Maura Higgins kiss scandal A new source has come forward to claim it is time Danny was "honest" and publically address what happened between Maura and himself, the Mirror reports. The source claims: "Everyone would understand why Danny and his wife have been quiet. They are likely working through various discussions from the first video that was released alone. With this second video, Danny needs to now speak out. "Maura is getting a lot of the backlash, and Danny seems to be getting away with his actions as a husband who was supposed to have been in love with his wife for over a decade. Danny's career should be halted at this point, and he should be big enough to now speak out to everyone and explain what has happened and take some accountability. "This is unfair on his wife, who seems to have put the family and their marriage first. Who knows if another video will emerge, but being honest is now the only way that this has a chance of resolving itself". It comes after reports that Georgia was focusing on their seven-year-old son Cooper and "protect him from all this madness." "She loves Danny, but she is hurt," a source told MailOnline. "Georgia's priority is, and will always be, her boy Cooper. She wants to protect him from all this madness." The insider added that although she's "more forgiving than most", the kiss "might be one step too far". Neither Danny nor Georgia have publicly commented on the Maura kiss.
