Schneider Electric Launches New Data Center Solutions
Schneider Electric has announced new data center solutions specifically engineered to meet the emerging demands of next-generation AI cluster architectures. Evolving its EcoStruxure Data Center Solutions portfolio, Schneider Electric introduced a Prefabricated Modular EcoStruxure Pod Data Center solution that consolidates infrastructure for liquid cooling, high-power busway and high-density NetShelter Racks. In addition, EcoStruxure Rack Solutions incorporate detailed rack configurations and frameworks designed to accelerate High Performance Computing (HPC) and AI data center deployments. The new EcoStruxure Pod Data Center and EcoStruxure Rack Solutions are now available globally. Organizations are deploying AI clusters and grappling with extreme rack power densities, which are projected to reach 1MW and beyond. Schneider Electric's new line of solutions equips customers with integrated, data-validated, and easily scaled white space solutions that address new challenges in pod and rack design, power distribution and thermal management. 'The sheer power and density required for AI clusters create bottlenecks that demand a new approach to data center architecture,' said Himamshu Prasad, Senior Vice President of EcoStruxure IT, Transactional & Edge and Energy Storage Center of Excellence at Schneider Electric. Engineered-to-order, the new pod infrastructure offers flexibility and supports liquid cooling, power busway, complex cabling, as well as hot aisle containment, InRow and rear door heat exchanger cooling architectures. ‘Ruben Amorim backed himself into a corner - but can make Man Utd mistake right'
Ruben Amorim was appointed as Manchester United manager in November, but has struggled since, with the club finishing 15th in the Premier League and losing the Europa League final Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen has slammed Ruben Amorim for his unwavering commitment to his favoured 3-4-3 formation, despite results not going United's way since he took over at Old Trafford. After taking the reins in November, following an impressive stint at Sporting CP, Amorim struggled to hit the ground running with the Red Devils. He ultimately steered them to a 15th place finish in the league and defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final. Amorim, 40, managed a meagre seven wins out of 27 league games and subsequently missed out on European football qualification. Now, his relentless use of his preferred system has drawn criticism from Meulensteen. 'I find it, in my personal opinion, a bit short-sighted in that respect,' Meulensteen said on the High Performance podcast. 'I think if he worded it differently from the start, he would not have got hunted by it every single day because constantly the media will come back to him. 'You're losing again today, is it because of the system?' "I think he should have said, 'Listen, I prefer a 3-4-3 system. I had a lot of success with it. I know it can work. I'm going to try to make it work at Manchester United. However, I need to have a look at the squad first. I need to look at how I can best use the players and utilise their strengths because that's what you need to do. And I need to get to know the Premier League and the opponents and everything.' "There's so many variables that have an effect on whether that system is going to work or not," Meulensteen continued. "So if he would have done that, he would have been more flexible in getting to grips with the size of the task anyway, never mind losing or winning games. Now, when you win games, things become easier, because you can get your message across easier." Meulensteen, who worked under Sir Alex Ferguson for the last six years of the Scotsman's reign, fears that Amorim's determination to stick to his principles could prove to be an error. However, he has argued that it is not too late for Amorim to change his ways, as per the Manchester Evening News. "It is hard to say what kind of advice you would give him, because if he diverts from that, he sees it as a weakness," Meulensteen added. "So that's why he's been, maybe, stubborn and stuck to it . 'I'm going to make it work, no matter what.' "I don't think it would be a sign of weakness. He comes across a lot of times as very, very honest. Why couldn't you say, 'Listen I know I've said this. However, the experiences I've had over the last few months make me rethink and review. I genuinely believe that it is in the best interests of all of us–the team, the squad–-that I tweak a few things.' "He has tweaked a few things, when he's played Garnacho in that number eight role on the left-hand side. He gave him the leeway to go to the wide areas because that's where Garnacho's strength is, and then run at people and come inside. "I also do think that you never should stick yourself to one particular system, because a system is nothing else than a framework. How you're going to start the game. The moment the whistle goes, a 4-4-2 flows into a 4-3-3, a 2-4-4, however the game pans out. So that is not the most important thing." Regardless of whether Amorim makes a tactical switch or not, United are facing a crucial summer transfer window as they gear up for next season without the prospect of European football. The club have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are targeting Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.

Malesala And Simpson Extend Their Time With Pulse
Shooter Amorangi Malesala and Australian midcourter Gabi Simpson will remain with Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse for the rest of the ANZ Premiership netball league. With Malesala drafted in as a temporary replacement for Khiarna Williams, who is still rehabbing a shoulder injury, and Simpson adding cover for Maddy Gordon and Whitney Souness, the Pulse have opted to retain the 12 players allowed per squad. ``After injury-restricted build-ups Maddy and Whitney have only recently returned to playing at this level and more recently playing full minutes, so there's still uncertainty there,'' Netball Central Director of High Performance Waimarama Taumaunu said. ``And, it's a very short season, so if anything should go amiss, we have the cover rather than facing a last-minute search. ``Amorangi and Gabi are seasoned players, they're very professional in everything they do, very positive team members and have added enormous value.'' Starting her season as a training partner with the Magic, talented shooter Malesala, is now living the dream while re-launching her elite level career. ``I'm super blessed to be able to stay here permanently for the rest of the season,'' she said. ``I guess that was not really part of the plan and it was a matter of just taking each week as it came but to be able to be here and for Anna (Andrews-Tasola, coach) to have the belief in me to be here and to be a part of the Pulse, I'm super grateful. ``I've loved every minute of it. It was definitely an eye-opener coming in because from the outside looking in, the Pulse are a tight-knit team so being able to be here and to experience that week-in week-out has been awesome for me. ``In order to grow my game and coming to a new environment, a clean slate gives me that ability to learn more about myself and to also immerse myself in this high intensity environment and it's been pretty good so far.'' Former Australian Diamond and Queensland Firebirds centurion, Simpson has put her physiotherapist clients and fledgling Australian Rules football career in Brisbane on hold to extend her stay in Wellington. ``I definitely didn't expect to be here for the whole season but I've felt so welcomed and it's such an enjoyable place to play netball,'' she said ``Now I just really want to contribute to this group to see how good we can be, and I'm really excited to be able to be here for a little bit longer. ``I think the newness about it all has been super refreshing and for me as well, being able to play without much expectation and not a huge amount of ambition other than to make this group great is a really refreshing and freeing way to play. ``They're a great bunch of girls and a great bunch of coaches. They've really taken me in and taught me a lot about the New Zealand way and their style of playing netball. And I really love the depth of culture in this team, it's a special thing to be a part of.'' After traversing the length of the country, Simpson had to wait until halfway through the season before playing her first game in Wellington at the Pulse's spiritual home of TSB Arena. While that resulted in a disappointing loss to the Mystics, the passionate crowd left a lasting impression. ``Walking out in front of that crowd was unreal…..it's loud, it's yellow, there's so much energy that you can feel it, so it's really special to walk out in front of something like that and I guess create a new home,'' she said.

South Africa's power hitter Klaasen announces retirement
Big-hitting South Africa wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen has announced his retirement from international cricket, adding that this decision will now allow him to spend more time with his family. Klaasen had previously retired from Tests, where he made just four appearances, to focus on white-ball cricket commitments for South Africa, where his last international appearance for them came in the 2025 Champions Trophy semi-final defeat to New Zealand. 'It is a sad day for me as I announce that I have decided to step away from international cricket. It took me a long time to decide what's best for me and my family for the future. It was truly a very difficult decision but also one that I have absolute peace with. 'From the first day, it was the biggest privilege representing my country and it was everything that I have worked for and dreamed about as a young boy. To have played with the Proteas badge on my chest was and will always be the biggest honour in my career. 'I look forward to spending more time with my family as this decision will allow me to do so. I will always be a big Proteas supporter and would like to thank everyone that supported me and my teammates during my career,' wrote Klaasen on his Instagram account on Monday. Klaasen, 33, made his international debut in 2018 and went to play in 60 ODIs and 58 T20Is for South Africa, amassing 2141 and 1000 runs respectively across formats. While he smashed four centuries and 11 fifties in ODIs, Klaasen had five T20I half-centuries against his name. Known for his belligerent six-hitting as a middle-order batter, Klaasen was also the member of South African team finishing runners-up in 2024 Men's T20 World Cup. 'I have made great friendships and relationships that I will treasure for life.' 'Playing for the Proteas gave me the opportunity to meet great people that changed my life, and to those people I can't say thank you enough. My road to wearing the Proteas shirt was different than most and there were certain coaches in my career that kept believing in me - to them I will always be grateful,' he concluded. Enoch Nkwe, South Africa's Director of national teams and High Performance, said Klaasen had been transparent in communication with Cricket South Africa (CSA) in last few months, adding that he fully respects the keeper-batter's decision. 'Heinrich has been a true match-winner for South Africa. He was a player capable of changing the course of a game in a matter of overs. His commitment and impact in the white-ball formats have been immense, and we thank him for his outstanding service to South African cricket.' 'He has been transparent with Cricket South Africa throughout the past few months, and we fully respect his decision to retire from international cricket. We wish him continued success in the next chapter of his journey,' said Nkwe in a statement. With his international career over, Klaasen will now be visible on the T20 franchise circuit via deals with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Seattle Orcas in Major League Cricket (MLC), Durban's Super Giants in SA20 and Manchester Originals in The Hundred.
