Prince Harry, Meghan Markle facing major staff turnover dubbed a ‘bloodbath': expert

There's been another staff shake-up within the House of Sussex. Four members of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's staff have left in recent weeks, People magazine confirmed on Friday. Hello! Magazine, which was the first outlet to report the news, said that the staffers who left included their Los Angeles-based deputy press secretary, Kyle Boulia, and their U.K. press officer, Charlie Gipson. Both were brought on last year. Fox News Digital reached out to Archewell, which handles the offices of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, for comment. "This stands as another indication of the dysfunction and instability within their household," British royals expert Hilary Fordwich claimed to Fox News Digital. "Highly qualified professionals from many top-notch firms have previously struggled to thrive under the Sussexes," Fordwich claimed. "This latest bloodbath serves as solid confirmation." According to People, Meghan, 43, and Harry, 40, hired Meredith Maines as their chief communications officer earlier this year. She previously worked for Google, Hulu and "American Idol." The couple also added Emily Robinson, formerly of Netflix, as the new director of communications. "Something tells me there will be another change in the future," a source told Hello! Magazine. "Meghan and Harry have hired some of the most incredible people at the top of their fields, yet somehow none of them ever work out." Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital that about 20 people have left their roles working for the Sussexes. The couple stepped back as senior royals in 2020 and moved to California. "Something is clearly very wrong if you work for the Sussexes," Fitzwilliams claimed. "There are those who would link this to the reputation Meghan has of being difficult to work with," he shared. "Bullying allegations, which Meghan has strongly denied, have dogged her since they surfaced in The Times before the notorious Oprah interview [in 2021]. They were recently repeated in The Hollywood Reporter where it was alleged that Meghan was 'a dictator in high heels' and also appeared in Vanity Fair. "There could be another reason - the Sussexes are often dreadful at making plans," Fitzwilliams claimed. "On the one hand, it was always clear that a series like 'Polo' for Netflix would flop. Yet, they still went ahead. On the other hand, it is most unlikely that Harry took advice before he appeared on the BBC [in May] after he lost his case on security." "I would love to know who advised them that it made sense to post the 'twerking video,'" said Fitzwilliams, referring to the video Meghan posted of her and Harry doing the "Baby Mama Dance" on the day of Princess Lilibet's birth. "This will haunt them," said Fitzwilliams. "With judgments as bad as this… you can't blame staff for looking elsewhere." British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital that the Sussexes are "on a mission to create their own royal court." "[They want to] boost their profiles," she claimed. "[There's a view] that a new, bigger team will be better for them and especially help Meghan create a financial empire." Several of those who worked with the former American actress came forward to the outlet and candidly shared their experiences. They described how, at first, the mother of two would be "warm and effusive," creating an atmosphere of "professional camaraderie." However, whenever something went poorly, "often due to Meghan and Harry's own demands," she would become "cold and withholding towards the person she perceived to be responsible." A source told the outlet that it was "really, really, really awful. Very painful." "She's constantly playing checkers," the source claimed. "She's just very aware of where everybody is on her board. And when you're not in it, you are to be thrown to the wolves at any given moment." The source described it as "undermining." "It's talking behind your back. It's gnawing at your sense of self. Really, like 'Mean Girls' teenager," claimed the source. Producer Jane Marie had a different experience collaborating with the duchess. "She's just a lovely, genuine person," Marie told the outlet. Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital that the Sussexes are looking to revamp their image as they continue raising their young family in the U.S. "The Sussexes seem to be losing the war against the constant vitriolic comments from unnamed individuals close to the royal family in London," he claimed. "The Crown seems to be turning fiction into reality now with brand and media battles constantly going on," he said. "King Charles is seen giving a cheery wave and smile in public but has his head in his hands in private over how to unite the family." Fordwich and Fitzwilliams said the couple's swift staff turnaround has raised eyebrows. Two sources told Vanity Fair that a colleague with ties to the couple's Spotify podcast "Archetypes" took a leave of absence after working on three episodes. Several others said they took extended breaks from work "to escape scrutiny," left their jobs, or underwent "long-term therapy after working with Meghan." "I think if Meghan acknowledged her own shortcomings or personal contributions to situations rather than staying trapped in a victim narrative, her perception might be better," a source told Vanity Fair. "But who am I to criticize Meghan Markle? She's doing great." When the couple made their royal exit, they cited the unbearable intrusions and racist attitudes of the British media, as well as a lack of support from the palace, as their reasons for stepping back. But in 2021, days before Meghan and Harry's televised interview with Oprah Winfrey aired, royal reporter Valentine Low broke the story of bullying allegations against the duchess. Meghan's team strongly refuted the claims. "The duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma," a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a statement sent to Fox News Digital at the time. "She is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will keep striving to set an example for doing what is right and doing what is good." A spokesperson for the Sussexes also told The Times, "Let's just call this what it is – a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation." Low told Fox News Digital in 2023 that he stood by his reporting. "The important thing is we all know they're quite litigious," he said, referring to the Sussexes. "But despite getting several strongly worded letters from their lawyers before we published - after we published, we didn't hear a word from them. So that speaks volumes, too." Low's book "Courtiers" also alleged that "relations between the couple and some of their senior staff became so fractious that William's private secretary had to step in to help keep the peace." Low also claimed that some former staff still had difficulty discussing their experiences. Some would even refer to themselves as members of "The Sussex Survivors' Club." When Low's book was published in 2023, reps for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn't immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace previously told Fox News Digital they generally do not comment "on such books." Meghan returned to Instagram in the new year after disabling her social media accounts ahead of her 2018 royal wedding. There, she regularly promotes her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and her Netflix lifestyle series, "With Love, Meghan." New episodes are premiering in the fall. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry axe four key staff members after 'disaster move'

More info Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to reports, have dismissed four major employees following a sequence of public relations missteps. It's claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have separated from LA-based deputy press secretary Kyle Boulia and UK press officer Charlie Gipson, both of whom joined their team in April 2024. Recent weeks have also seen two other members of Harry and Meghan's personal staff reportedly depart. These shifts follow Harry and Meghan's appointment of a new communications team earlier this year, overseen by chief communication officer Meredith Maines, who has confirmed her squad comprises eight people spread across five different time zones. READ MORE - Royal fans spot 'major change' for Prince Louis at Trooping the Colour READ MORE - Kate Middleton's 'firm' command to Prince Louis on palace balcony exposed Adding to their revamped communications armoury, Harry and Meghan have brought on Emily Robinson, the ex-publicity manager for The Crown during its controversial seasons three through six, as their director of communications. The sixth season of the acclaimed Netflix series included contentious representations, like Prince Harry in Nazi garb, Princess Diana's impactful Panorama interview, and even portrayed Diana in ghostly conversations with Queen Elizabeth II. An insider speaking to Hello! Magazine hinted at further potential upheavals, saying: "Something tells me there will be another change in the future. Meghan and Harry have hired some of the most incredible people at the top of their fields, yet somehow none of them ever work out.", reports the Mirror. The couple, who renounced senior Royal duties in 2020 and relocated to California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, seem to be navigating choppy staffing waters. Following alterations within the Sussexes' team, their Chief Communications Officer Meredith shared a statement with The Mirror: "As the Duke and Duchess's business and philanthropic interests grow, I have made the strategic decision to move toward a more traditional communications structure of specialist agency support, as previously reported in Forbes and PR Week several weeks ago. Transitioning from a team of two to an agency support staff of eight, operating across five different time zones, will give international media and stakeholders better access, and critically, faster response times to inquiries." The Sussexes have recently caused a stir with some of their media appearances, including a controversial BBC interview given by Harry after his appeal against the downgrade of his UK security was rejected. In the interview, Harry alleged that his father, King Charles, is no longer speaking to him due to disagreements over his security arrangements while in the UK. (Image: Anadolu via Getty Images) (Image: Getty) He also brought up the King's cancer treatment and expressed uncertainty about "how much longer my father has left," which drew criticism for fuelling speculation about the monarch's health. Meghan Markle delighted fans by sharing a playful video where she's seen twerking with Prince Harry as part of her efforts to induce labour while she was pregnant with Lilibet. In the light-hearted Instagram clip, sprightly Meghan narrates over the minute-long footage saying: "Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates... so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!". Moreover, the Duchess has enjoyed success with her Netflix series, 'With Love, Meghan,' which, despite receiving a mix of critiques, proved popular enough to bag a second season on the streaming site. Adding to her ventures, Meghan has introduced her own brand, As Ever, offering a selection of homemade products such as raspberry jam, wildflower honey, herbal teas, flower sprinkles, crepe mix, and shortbread cookie mix. It was earlier mentioned that Meghan was poised to attend a charity gala in Los Angeles; however, the event is no longer going forward due to the unrest in the city. She was to be the guest of honour at the Museum of Natural History in LA, where she planned to speak about her extensive charitable activities. Amidst the ongoing protests in LA, with demonstrators clashing with ICE officers, the prestigious Night of Wonder event has been put on hold. Dr. Lori Bettison-Varga, President and Director of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, commented: "As an institution 'of, for, and with Los Angeles,' our responsibility during challenging times is clear: to serve as a community resource focused on healing and unity, not celebration. "Los Angeles needs us to channel our energy toward supporting our neighbours and demonstrating the values that make our city and county strong," she added. The museum's Board of Trustees, leadership, and event partners collectively decided to indefinitely postpone the event, agreeing that it was "the appropriate response to current community circumstances." Paul Bessire, the museum's Chief Advancement Officer, remarked: "We will find a future moment to celebrate our work. Until then, we will channel our energy towards being welcoming spaces for learning and discovery for everyone who walks through our doors." The museum plans to reschedule the Night of Wonder for a future date and will maintain its regular operations and educational activities in the meantime.

King Charles Just Posted a Taylor Swift Song on Instagram and I'm Convinced He's a Swiftie

Um, is King Charles a Swiftie? I think so! The official Instagram account for the royals recently posted a montage of the king making an appearance at SXSW London. The lively clip was set to the tune of Taylor Swift's "London Boy," a popular track off the singer's 2019 album Lover. The post was captioned: "Shoreditch in the afternoon! Hosted for the first time in Europe, The King has visited @SXSWLondon, a culture, technology and creativity festival in Shoreditch, East London. Originating in Austin, Texas, the festival aims to serve as a platform to showcase the future of the creative industries, supporting emerging artists and innovative projects. Before departing, His Majesty popped into Old Spitalfields Market to meet locals and speak to stallholders working the market's 'Antiques Thursday'." We know for sure his grandkids, Prince George (10) and Prince Charlotte (9) are huge fans of Swift. Last summer, Prince William marked his 42nd birthday by attending the singer's Eras Tour concert with the kids, and the trio even snapped a selfie with the pop star. VICTORIA JONES/POOL/AFP via Getty Images King Charles's visit to the music, film, art and tech festival on June 5 is just one of His Majesty's many appearances of late—a welcome sign, one year after his cancer diagnosis. In fact, during a recent visit to Impact Hub Yorkshire in Little Germany, Bradford, where he visited with local business owners, he was reportedly asked about his health upon meeting florist Safeena Khan. According to Hello! Magazine, the two asked each other how they were doing, with Khan explaining that he responded to her with a thumbs-up gesture when she asked about his health, telling her, "I'd like to think I'm on the better side [of my cancer journey]." This was a positive update just a few weeks after Buckingham Palace issued a statement announcing the king experienced "temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital." Jaimi Joy -The king has been in good spirits as of late, as well, appearing alongside Queen Camilla in Ottawa, Canada, for his first visit to the nation after his coronation, with body language expert Darren Stanton saying, "Charles seemed really pleased to be visiting. His posture was upright, straight, and he wasn't slouching, showing that he was completely engaged in taking it all in. In terms of his facial expressions, Charles seemed genuinely happy to be there—there weren't any signs of a fake or masking smile. The emotions, from a microexpression point of view, were very genuine. He certainly looked powerful while taking on the event." Seems like King Charles is happy and healthy, which is definitely a reason to put Taylor Swift's music on your Instagram post. Want all the latest royal family news sent right to your inbox? Harry and Meghan 'axe four key staff members' as 'another change' looms

Earlier this year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hired Meredith Maines as their new chief communication officer, and over the past few months their team has undergone some changes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly axed four key staff members while revamping their team. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have parted ways with their LA-based deputy press secretary Kyle Boulia and UK press officer Charlie Gipson. Both of them were hired in April 2024. Two other members of the couple's private team have reportedly also left in recent weeks. The changes come after Harry and Meghan appointed a new team, headed by chief communication officer (CCO) Meredith Maines, earlier this year. Meredith confirmed her team is now made up of eight people working across five different time zones. ‌ Harry and Meghan also recently hired Emily Robinson, who previously oversaw global publicity for The Crown from seasons three to six, as their new director of communications. ‌ Season six of the hit Netflix drama programme aired controversial storylines which included Prince Harry wearing Nazi fancy dress, Princess Diana's Panorama interview, and scenes depicting Diana as a ghost speaking to Queen Elizabeth II. A source has now claimed more changes could be in the works for the couple, who stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and now live in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The source told Hello! Magazine: "Something tells me there will be another change in the future. Meghan and Harry have hired some of the most incredible people at the top of their fields, yet somehow none of them ever work out." Following reports of changes within the Sussexes' team, their CCO Meredith said in a statement shared with The Mirror: "As the Duke and Duchess's business and philanthropic interests grow, I have made the strategic decision to move toward a more traditional communications structure of specialist agency support, as previously reported in Forbes and PR Week several weeks ago. Earlier this week we reported that Meghan was due to attend a charity event in Los Angeles tomorrow, but t he bash has been cancelled due to ongoing unrest in the city. The Duchess was scheduled to be the guest of honour at the Museum of Natural History in LA, where she was expected to give a speech about her extensive charity work. However, as the streets of LA continue to be occupied by protestors facing off against ICE officers, organisers postponed the black-tie Night of Wonder event. Dr. Lori Bettison-Varga, President and Director of the Natural History Museum in LA, said in a statement: "As an institution 'of, for, and with Los Angeles,' our responsibility during challenging times is clear: to serve as a community resource focused on healing and unity, not celebration." "Los Angeles needs us to channel our energy toward supporting our neighbours and demonstrating the values that make our city and county strong," her statement continued. The statement went on to clarify that the decision to indefinitely postpone the event was made by the museum's Board of Trustees, leadership and event partners, who "unanimously agreed" that pausing the event was "the appropriate response to current community circumstances." Chief Advancement Officer Paul Bessire added: "We will find a future moment to celebrate our work. Until then, we will channel our energy towards being welcoming spaces for learning and discovery for everyone who walks through our doors." The museum is expected to reschedule the event for a later date, and will continue with their daily operations and educational programs until the event is back in the calendar.

Who is Brooklyn Beckham? Exploring the life, education and relationships of the ‘black sheep' of the Beckham family

Image via Hello! Magazine - Brooklyn Beckham with his father David Beckham You've seen the tattoos, the front-row fashion seats, and the glossy wedding spreads. You have heard the rumours and a life etched in glaring spotlight straight out of cradle. But, one burning question remains…'Who really is Brooklyn Beckham , the young man born into Britain's most-watched dynasty?' Born to the legendary footballer—David Beckham, and ex 'Posh Spice' icon Victoria Beckham—Brooklyn was destined for attention before he could walk. Yet behind the camera flashes and Instagram filters lies a more layered figure: a boy who dabbled in football, fled design school, flirted with photography, then stirred up tabloids with reality cooking shows, celebrity romances, and, lately, a rift that's torn through the Beckham household. But in this article, we will try to answer the question.. Who is Brooklyn Beckham really? A model son—or a misunderstood millennial still searching for his spotlight? Let's dive into the birthright, the breakouts, and the bombshells that define David Beckham's enigmatic heir. Why was Brooklyn named so? Brooklyn Joseph Peltz Beckham, born March 4, 1999, at Portland Hospital in London, is the eldest child of football legend David Beckham and fashion icon‑turned-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham . His unique name choice wasn't just personal. It came because Victoria learned she was pregnant while in Brooklyn, New York (though she later said they 'simply liked the name'). Brooklyn spent childhood years between Madrid and Los Angeles, moving with his globetrotting dad during his Real Madrid and LA Galaxy stints. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo He was raised alongside siblings Romeo (b. 2002), Cruz (b. 2005), and Harper (b. 2011) . A failed attempt at football, trying to fit in his mother's shoe, before finding a niche in culinary art Brooklyn's early education was private, but he didn't pursue elite football—after a short stint at Arsenal's academy (until age 15), he walked away from the sport. Instead, he tried modeling (for magazines like Vogue China and Miss Vogue starting in 2014) and photography—with a high-profile Burberry campaign at age 16, though some critics labelled it 'nepotism'. He also studied photography at Parsons School of Design but left, reportedly due to homesickness. Brooklyn then pivoted yet again—this time to cooking, launching 'Cookin' With Brooklyn' in 2021. However, critics noted each episode cost more than $100K and involved dozens of staff. Professionally, Brooklyn embraces the 'nepo‑baby' tag. He told Grazia magazine: 'Obviously I am one… There's always going to be people that say rubbish… makes me work harder' . Recently, he's been building a hot‑sauce and condiment brand—evidence he's forging his own path. After having tried his hands at modelling, photography and cooking, Brooklyn is believed to be currently chasing his other creative pursuits. Some sources mention Brooklyn to be a designer now, although further details of this new endeavor is still unclear. A high-profile marriage that led to estrangement from parents In April 2022 Brooklyn married 30 year old actress Nicola Peltz , daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, in a lavish Palm Beach ceremony. Since then, their relationship has drawn headlines, especially a very public family feud involving a rift with David and Victoria. Reports say Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David's 50th birthday and Victoria's fashion show in Paris, allegedly sparked by disagreements over the wedding—and even lawsuits between Nicola's family and wedding planners. Some reports suggest Brooklyn has hired the same attorney as Prince Harry, Jenny Afia, in order to severe all ties from his parents. Brooklyn is reportedly 'estranged' from his parents and siblings, having hired lawyers for reputation management. The family drama has involved public comments, smoothed‑over legal settlements, and tattoo cover‑ups—like obscuring a 'Mama's Boy' tribute to Victoria. Brooklyn may carry one of the most famous surnames in the world, but his life has been anything but a straight path. From early ambitions in sport to creative detours in photography and cooking, his story reads more like a search for self than a sprint to stardom. Along the way, he's courted love, headlines, and the occasional controversy. But beneath the surface, he's just a young man trying to step out of the shadow of his last name—and find meaning on his own terms.
