In a statement to ABC 13 Houston, Ashley's boyfriend, Jason Rogriguez, said that he was out of town working the day of the incident, and he received a video of Ashley having fun on the jet ski at about noon that day, several hours before she allegedly fell. She was wearing a life jacket in the video, which he shared with the outlet. Jason also told ABC 13 that he and Ashley's loved ones still have questions regarding what occurred that day. 'My heart goes out to her family, her loved ones and everyone affected by this tragic loss,' he said. An Oahu grand jury indicted a 22-year-old man Friday for allegedly shooting at another vehicle during a road rage incident Monday in Waikiki. Ezra Madali was indicted for first-degree reckless endangering, first-degree terroristic threatening and place to keep a pistol or revolver. STAR-ADVERTISER Honolulu police have opened up an attempted murder investigation after a man driving a stolen Jeep Cherokee allegedly struck an officer early this morning in Kalihi. At 1 :05 a.m., officers saw the driver of a silver 2016 Jeep Cherokee, which had been linked to burglary investigations, make an 'illegal traffic maneuver ' to enter the Kamehameha Shopping Center, the Honolulu Police Department said in a social media post. When officers approached him on foot at the McDonald's drive-thru, police said, the driver reversed, then accelerated forward toward one of the officers, hitting him in the leg. The 28-year-old officer was not injured, HPD said. The suspect fled and has not yet been located, according to the post. Police found the stolen Jeep about an hour later, abandoned on North Nimitz Highway. Honolulu police said a 74-year-old woman who was struck in a crosswalk Tuesday by a hit-and-run driver has died.
