Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Pictures Leaked, Expected Launch On July 9

New Delhi: Samsung is likely to reveal the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at its Galaxy Unpacked event, which might happen on July 9. Before the launch, some leaked pictures have shown the phone in two colors: Blue Shadow and Jet Black. There might be two more colors coming too. Design and Size (Expected) The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be slimmer and lighter than the previous model, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. When opened, it could be about 3.9 to 4.5 millimeters thick. This thinner design is thanks to a new hinge, which also helps make the phone weigh less — around 215 grams, which is about 24 grams lighter than the Fold 6. Samsung is trying to make foldable phones easier to carry and use. Bigger Screens (Expected) Samsung usually makes the outer screen bigger with each new Fold phone. This time, the cover screen might be 6.5 inches, a bit bigger than the 6.3 inches on the Fold 6. The main inside screen could also get bigger, up to 8.2 inches, which means a better viewing experience. Other Features (Expected) The Fold 7 might be Samsung's thinnest and lightest foldable phone yet — about 9 millimeters thick when folded. It's also expected to have better AI features built into the system, including voice controls. Possible New Version: Fold 7 Ultra There are hints that Samsung might also launch a Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, a fancier version with better performance and premium materials.

Samsung is launching an Ultra folding phone – and it could be arriving very soon

If you've been waiting for Samsung to release its next bendy phones, your wait might be over sooner than you think. This year, we're expecting an Ultra folding model for the first time, alongside regular refreshes in the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip line-up. A report from reliable leaker Evleaks points to 9 July as the date for the next Galaxy Unpacked launch. That's the event where we're expecting Samsung to show off the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Given last year's foldables got their debut on 10 July, this leak doesn't feel like much of a stretch. Apparently, things are due to kick off at 10am ET/3pm BST. This leak doesn't come with any new specs, sadly, but that hasn't stopped the rumour mill from grinding away. Word is the new foldables will have upgraded cameras and some new AI software features. Samsung has also already confirmed the new devices will launch with One UI 8. Then there's the so-called Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, which Samsung seems to be increasingly hinting at. Recent official announcements promise 'industry-leading hardware, cutting-edge performance and seamless AI integration optimised for the foldable format'. Whatever that means. The next Galaxy Unpacked: 9 July 2025 @ 10AM EDT — Evan Blass (@evleaks) June 18, 2025 While we're yet to get official confirmation on the names, I'd put money on them being called the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, because of course they are. We may also finally get eyes on Samsung's long-rumoured tri-fold foldable, supposedly dubbed the Galaxy G Fold. It's been teased and rumoured for a while now, and this could finally be the year it trots onto the stage. And let's not forget the wrists. The Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic are also expected to make an appearance, which will be the perfect companion to the latest Galaxy smartphones. Although, the Watch Ultra 2 might be keeping a low profile until 2026. If the launch does happen on 9 July, then I expect pre-orders to go live later that day. Based on past launches, pricing is likely to sit in high-end flagship territory – we're talking north of $1700/£1749 for the Fold 7, and closer to $999/£1049 for the Flip 7.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 reveal date now looks like a lock — here's when we'll see Samsung's newest foldables

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are coming, that much we know, but what hasn't been clear so far is when they would actually arrive. Samsung's Summer Unpacked event often moves around on the calendar. But Evan Blass might have some insight. According to the leaker, Galaxy Unpacked will be taking place on Wednesday, July 9 — which is just shy of three weeks out. Blass claims that the event will start at 10 a.m. Eastern but doesn't offer any additional information beyond that. That date makes perfect sense, considering last year's Unpacked was on July 10. It was a little earlier than normal, reportedly because Samsung was a major sponsor of the Paris Olympics and wanted to get the new phones unveiled before the games. Samsung clearly likes that launch window if it's sticking with it for another year. Though it does make sense to get out early, and ahead of both the iPhone 17 and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold — which are expected in September and August, respectively. The big appearances at Summer Unpacked are going to be the new wave of Samsung foldables. Notably the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the all-new Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra. The Ultra is still something of a mystery, since various rumors already paint the regular 7 Fold as having rather powerful specs, but Samsung has confirmed that it's on the way. The phone is also said to have a heavy AI focus, but that's not really surprising given how much Samsung has invested in Galaxy AI. There's also rumors of a Galaxy Z Flip FE coming later this year, though it's been claimed that this won't arrive until long after Unpacked. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. However, we should hear more about the Galaxy Watch 8, the upcoming One UI 8 update and the Project Moohan headset at the event. The latter of which is long overdue for some limelight, considering it's supposed to be going on sale before the end of the year. Samsung to launch Android XR device to rival Apple Vision Pro in September: Report

Earlier this year, Samsung gave us a glimpse of Project Moohan, its Apple Vision Pro competitor. First teased during the second Galaxy Unpacked event in 2024, the extended reality headset was rumoured to launch sometime at the end of the year. However, Samsung's extended reality headset may hit markets sooner than expected. According to a report by the Korean publication Newspim, the company might launch the upcoming Android XR-powered headset at its very own event on September 9. It also suggests that the headset will be coming to South Korea a month later on October 13, with a global launch planned afterwards. Rumour also has it that Samsung will be showcasing the prototype and playing teaser videos of the Apple Vision Pro competitor at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled to take place in July. Compared to Meta and Apple's offerings, Samsung is reportedly working on fixing some issues associated with the technology, such as weight, battery life and performance. And while not much is known about Project Moohan's hardware except for the fact that it will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 chip and run on Android XR. In December last year, Google previewed Android XR – its new'open, unified platform for XR headsets and glasses.' Compared to the Apple Vision Pro and Meta's Quest range of mixed and virtual reality headsets, Google has confirmed that Android XR devices will support existing mobile and tablet apps on the Play Store 'right out of the box.' The tech giant is also building its very own XR version of popular apps like Maps, Photos and YouTube. For example, the Android XR version of Google Chrome will let users browse the internet with multiple windows, which will help enhance the headset's multitasking capabilities. Google also said that it will bring new AI-powered features backed by Gemini, which recently got multimodal capabilities. However, some important details like price, the product name and hardware specifications still remain under wraps, so we will have to wait a few months to get the full picture.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 7, Flip 7 may launch with free Google AI Pro access

Samsung is preparing to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, at the upcoming July Galaxy Unpacked event. While Samsung has shared some previews for the book-style Z Fold 7, the Z Flip 7 has remained limited. On top of that, these upcoming devices could include an AI-powered bonus that gives them an edge out of the box and will add value to the user experience right from the start. A recent analysis (Android Authority spotted) of the beta version of a Google app (version reveals that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 could come with a free subscription to Google AI Pro, also known as Gemini Advanced. This service, which normally costs $19.99 (around Rs. 1732) per month, gives access to tools such as Veo 3 Fast for video creation and Flow, an AI assistant designed to help with filmmaking tasks. If Samsung follows the approach taken with its Galaxy S25 series, users may receive a six-month free trial of this AI service.
