Samsung confirms Galaxy Buds Core launching soon in India, possibly before Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7
Samsung has all but confirmed the impending launch of its new wireless earphones, the Galaxy Buds Core, in India. The South Korean tech giant's social media teasers, featuring the tagline 'let the music move you to the core,' cleverly hint at the name, which has been circulating in rumours for some time. This once again proves how hard it is to maintain product secrecy in the current era. Support pages for the Galaxy Buds Core recently went live in various markets, including India. The earphones have also been spotted on the Bureau of India Standards (BIS) website, a crucial certification for electronics launched in the country. Samsung has now teased the release on X (formerly Twitter) with a post stating, "Brace yourself! The music is about to hit harder. Feel every note, every drop, every beat – louder, clearer, deeper. Dropping soon!" advertisementThe accompanying product silhouette in the teaser offers a clear look at the Galaxy Buds Core's design. The charging case appears strikingly similar to the existing Galaxy Buds 3, while the earbuds themselves seem to adopt a styling akin to the Galaxy Buds FE, suggesting a stem-less design. This would be a return to Samsung's more compact, utilitarian aesthetic seen in most of its earphones before the recent Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro, which introduced a stem layout. However, earlier rumours had suggested a stem design for the Buds Core, so we'll have to wait and watch on the final form factor. The Galaxy Buds Core are widely expected to succeed the 2023 Galaxy Buds FE, positioning them as a more affordable alternative to the Galaxy Buds 3. It's currently unclear if a separate Galaxy Buds FE 2 will also be released. Speculation suggests the Core earphones will feature a larger battery for improved longevity, along with enhancements in audio quality and active noise cancellation (ANC) capabilities. With Samsung's official announcement, more details, including the exact launch timeline, are expected anytime now. Considering the "FE" history, the launch of the long-rumored Galaxy S25 FE might also be on the horizon. This new announcement also confirms a busy summer for Samsung, with the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, rumored for July 9, set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and potentially an even more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Stay tuned for further updates.

Samsung is working on two new pairs of more affordable TWS earbuds
Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds FE in 2023 as its most affordable pair of TWS earbuds, and we've recently heard that they would be succeeded by the Galaxy Buds Core that are currently in development. Today the existence of the Galaxy Buds Core has been confirmed through a deep dive into the code of the latest Galaxy Buds Controller app for Wear OS. But, intriguingly, they're not the only affordable earbuds Samsung has in the pipeline. The Galaxy Buds3 FE are also coming, and so the Korean company's roster of earbuds will soon double in size. The Buds3 and Buds3 Pro will definitely still sit at the top of this food chain, with the Galaxy Buds Core being the cheapest, according to today's source. So the Galaxy Buds3 FE should then slot in between the Galaxy Buds Core and the Galaxy Buds3. There's certainly a lot of appetite across the world for good cheap TWS earbuds, and Samsung seems to have finally noticed. While we can't tell for sure when the new earbuds will be announced, Samsung's next Unpacked event is taking place in July, where it's unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 along with the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic. So perhaps that would be the best place for these new buds to make their debut as well. Source

Samsung Galaxy Buds Core and Buds 3 FE Emerge in App Teardown
Samsung appears to be preparing to bring new earbuds to its Galaxy Buds series; at least, that is what the APK teardown of the Galaxy Buds Controller app shows. The app of the Wear OS version 1.0.08.38 contains model numbers that hint at quite a few upcoming earbuds. The numbers R400, R410, and R420 are noted, where R400 could be Galaxy Buds FE, R410 could be a new product called Galaxy Buds Core, and R420 is linked to a possible Galaxy Buds 3 FE, as reported by Android Authority. At this stage, not much is known about the specs or features these earbuds will have. Not just this, but it is also unclear whether Samsung plans to launch both the Galaxy Buds Core and the Galaxy Buds 3 FE at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is set to give details about the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, and possibly a triple-folding device. The company has not given any official information about the release dates or what these earbuds will have to set them apart from previous models. APK teardowns are a common way for tech enthusiasts and analysts to learn about probable upcoming products based on code found in current apps.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Core battery capacity leaks
Samsung is reportedly looking to replace its entry-level TWS buds this year. The new device is called the Galaxy Buds Core and replaces the Buds FE that came out in 2023. The latter launched with an MSRP of $100, which might be an indication of Buds Core's pricing. The new Buds Core recently showed up on a bunch of Samsung support websites so we now know their model number will be SM-R410. Galaxy Buds Core batteries have leaked• Case: 500mah battery • Buds: 100mah battery (each) Buds have 34mah larger batteries and 21mah larger case battery than the Buds FE — Anthony (@TheGalox_) May 23, 2025 In a new development, an industry rumor has surfaced regarding the battery capacity of the buds and their respective charging case. As per the source, each bud will have a 100 mAh capacity, whereas the case will have a 500 mAh capacity. If this turns out to be true, it constitutes a pretty major increase over the 60 mAh batteries inside the Buds FE and the 479 mAh typical capacity of their charging case. We aren't sure whether the Buds Core will inherit the new stem design debuted by the Buds3 and Buds3 Pro. Such a massive battery increase in the buds sure points in that direction, but it remains to be seen. By the way, the accompanying render is not confirmed or official in any capacity. Source

Galaxy Buds Core get listed on a bunch of Samsung support sites
Samsung is working on the Galaxy Buds Core, according to recent rumors. These are intended to replace the Galaxy Buds FE as the cheapest TWS earbuds in the company's portfolio. They are definitely launching very soon, as Samsung support sites in a bunch of countries, including India, the UAE, Russia, and Türkiye, have now listed these buds under their SM-R410 model number. The Galaxy Buds Core have already been certified for sale in India by BIS. Interestingly, the first Samsung launch event where these could be presented is in early July, when the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Fold7, so perhaps the Buds Core will be announced on that occasion, when the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic should also debut. Nothing about the Galaxy Buds Core's specs is known at this point, but if the Buds FE are any indication, expect these to cater to the entry-level market for TWS earbuds. They may or may not adopt the new stem design that debuted with the Buds3 and Buds3 Pro last year, that remains to be seen. Via
