Beyoncé's First Country Smash Returns As Her Tour Travels The Globe

Beyoncé's 'Texas Hold 'Em' returns to the U.K. charts after her Cowboy Carter Tour wraps in that ... More country, and the album it supports continues to climb. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 02: Beyoncé accepts the Best Country Album award for "COWBOY CARTER" onstage during the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards at Arena on February 02, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo byfor The Recording Academy) Beyoncé recently wrapped the U.K. leg of her Cowboy Carter Tour, which included six nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Fans of the global superstar in England showed their continued enthusiasm for her latest musical chapter by not just showing up in person, but returning to the music she's currently on the road promoting. Following the anticipation for her concerts, her first country smash 'Texas Hold 'Em' resurfaces on the charts. This week, the track returns to a pair of rankings in the United Kingdom — though just barely. 'Texas Hold 'Em' reappears on the Official Singles Downloads chart at No. 97 this week, and lands at No. 100 on the Official Singles Sales list. Beyoncé previewed her first country album Cowboy Carter with 'Texas Hold 'Em,' which became the breakout hit from the set. The tune reached No. 1 on rankings all around the world, despite a drastic sonic departure from her previous work. It even earned her another chart-topper on several U.K. lists. 'Texas Hold 'Em' spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Official Singles Sales chart and seven total on the Official Singles Downloads tally. The track needs only a few more appearances on both lists to mark its first full year as a bestselling single in the country. As 'Texas Hold 'Em' returns, the album it's featured on continues to soar. Cowboy Carter is present on five U.K.-based rankings this week, and it climbs on four of them. The only list it doesn't rise on is the Official Americana Albums chart — and that's only because it remains steady at No. 1. While holding firm on that tally, Cowboy Carter also jumps to No. 4 on the Official Country Artists Albums list. It returns to the top 40 on both the Official Album Streaming chart and the ranking of the most consumed projects in the nation. Cowboy Carter isn't the only Beyoncé project gaining ground this frame. Lemonade, one of her most celebrated collections, reappears on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart for the first time in years, landing at No. 38. 'Crazy in Love,' her breakout solo smash, nearly reenters the top 10 on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles roster, pushing to No. 11 – it's new all-time peak.

Mariah Carey's Milestone New Top 10 Bestseller

Mariah Carey scores another top 10 in the U.K. as 'Type Dangerous' debuts on two sales charts, ... More helping the singer reach two milestones in the process. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 04: (FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Mariah Carey speaks onstage during the 66th GRAMMY Awards at Arena on February 04, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by JC Olivera/WireImage) For more than half a decade, all of Mariah Carey's musical releases have been disconnected from a typical album campaign. She has focused more on maximizing her earnings during the holiday season, when her smash "All I Want for Christmas Is You" becomes the biggest song in the world. In recent years, she has also paired with a number of superstars for one-off collaborations, remixes, and similar projects. The celebrated singer-songwriter has finally officially kicked off a new era, as she begins promoting her as-yet-untitled sixteenth album with a new single, "Type Dangerous." The track becomes a quick bestseller in the United Kingdom this week, helping the chanteuse reach a milestone number of wins on every tally it touches. "Type Dangerous" debuts on two rankings in the U.K. this frame. The song opens at No. 8 on the Official Singles Downloads chart and No. 9 on the Official Singles Sales list, as fans rush to buy the latest from Carey upon its arrival. Throughout her career, Carey has scored only a few top 10 wins on both of these tallies — but that's largely because they were introduced long after many of her biggest smashes had their heyday. That type of performance is not uncommon for even the most prominent musical acts from decades past. "Type Dangerous" is her seventh top 10 on the list of the most downloaded tunes in the U.K. and just her fourth on the all-encompassing Official Singles Sales chart. While she hasn't promoted a new album in more than half a decade, it has only been a few years since Carey last collected a top 10 on both of these lists. In 2022, she joined rapper Latto on "Big Energy." Carey was credited on a remix that interpolated her own song "Fantasy," blending the two hits, which both sampled Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love," and turned the new take into a top three success on both U.K.-based purchase-only rankings. As "Type Dangerous" arrives, Carey earns her milestone tenth win on the Official Singles Sales chart. The new arrival is also her twenty-fifth success on the Official Singles Downloads chart. Amazingly, even though it's June, "All I Want for Christmas Is You" manages to return to one tally in the U.K. as "Type Dangerous" debuts. That seasonal favorite reappears on the Official Physical Singles chart at No. 79, perhaps helped onto that list by the excitement around the singer's latest cut. It will almost surely make its way back later this year when December arrives.

Sabrina Carpenter's New Single Opens At No. 1

Sabrina Carpenter's 'Manchild' debuts at No. 1 on the U.K.'s Official Singles chart, marking her ... More fourth leader on that tally and another win on several other rosters. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 02: Sabrina Carpenter attends the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards on February 02, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo byfor The Recording Academy) Sabrina Carpenter's new album Man's Best Friend isn't expected until late August, but the campaign around the project is already going spectacularly. The Grammy winner dropped new single "Manchild" in early June, and the country-tinged pop tune has quickly become a massive global success. The track launches on half a dozen charts in the United Kingdom this week, and it leads the way on many of them, as Carpenter's latest cut proves that a new worldwide pop star is here to stay. "Manchild" launches atop the Official Singles chart in the U.K., which ranks the most consumed songs in the country. It earns Carpenter her fourth career leader, as three smashes from her breakout album Short n' Sweet all managed to lead the charge for at least a month at a time. "Espresso," "Please Please Please," and "Taste" took turns ruling, and now "Manchild" launches atop the competitive roster as well, joining those fairly recent wins. The same track also rules the Official Singles Sales, Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles charts as it opens at No. 1 on the main songs tally in the U.K. "Manchild" is Carpenter's second ruler on the first two tallies and her third on the vinyl-only roster, as "Nonsense" — taken from a previous era — also managed one moment in the spotlight. "Manchild" doesn't quite dominate either the Official Streaming or Official Singles Downloads charts in the U.K. this week, but it does begin its run on those two tallies inside the top 10. The latest from Carpenter kicks off its time as the second-most streamed tune in the nation, and the fifth-bestselling download. In both cases, the singer-songwriter collects her fourth placement inside the top 10. "Man Child" is one of seven songs by Carpenter to appear on at least one chart in the U.K. at the moment. Previous smashes like "Espresso," "Taste," "Please Please Please" and "Nonsense" make a home on several rankings, while "Busy Woman" and "Bed Chem" live on just one list as fans continue to buy and stream her past works amid growing excitement around her upcoming full-length effort.

Bruno Mars Makes His Decade-Old Single A Global Smash Again

Bruno Mars places four songs on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts this week, as ... More 'Locked Out of Heaven' returns and 'Just the Way You Are' surges. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 02: Bruno Mars performs onstage during the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards at Arena on February 02, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo byfor The Recording Academy) Bruno Mars is never absent from Billboard's global charts these days, whether he's pushing something brand new or fans are focusing their listening on the tracks that made him a superstar years ago. The singer-songwriter regularly fills multiple spaces on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S., and this week is no exception, as the Grammy champion appears with several favorites – including one which rebounds onto both tallies. "Locked Out of Heaven" breaks back onto both Billboard's lists of the most consumed songs around the world and the most popular tunes globally, with U.S. streams and sales excluded. The decade-plus-old smash reenters the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. at No. 162, and it comes in at No. 174 on the Billboard Global 200. "Locked Out of Heaven" has already spent at least two years on both of these rankings. It even reaches the 104 week-milestone on the Billboard Global 200 as it returns. Despite its longevity, the track has never climbed into the top 40 on either list. Mars sits just below the top spot on both rankings with a pair of smashes — ones which have already become some of the biggest hits in the history of these rosters. "Die With a Smile," his collaboration with Lady Gaga, remains steady in the runner-up space on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. At the same time, "Apt," which saw Mars team up with Blackpink star Rosé, is a non-mover in third place on the two rankings. In between "Die With a Smile," "Apt.," and "Locked Out of Heaven" comes "Just the Way You Are," Mars's first solo smash, and it is growing in popularity around the world, which happens from time to time. This week, it leaps more than 30 spaces on both the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and Billboard Global 200, settling at Nos. 145 and 156, respectively. Just like "Locked Out of Heaven," the track has lived on these lists for a long time but never managed to become a top 40 smash.

Billie Eilish's Most Recent Album Jumps 3,100% In Sales

Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft (Isolated Vocals) surges 3,100% in U.S. sales, reentering ... More Billboard's Vinyl Albums and Top Album Sales charts at new high points. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Billboard via Getty Images) In November 2024, Billie Eilish joined dozens of other well-known musicians in releasing a special project for Record Store Day. The singer-songwriter unveiled the vinyl edition of Hit Me Hard and Soft (Isolated Vocals), the a cappella version of her latest full-length effort. The project quickly became a bestseller in the United States, though only for a single week. Fans rapidly purchased the several thousand available copies, after which the collection vanished. Now, months later, the title has made a remarkable comeback — and this time, it's bigger than ever. In the past tracking frame, Luminate reports that Hit Me Hard and Soft (Isolated Vocals) sold 5,100 copies throughout the U.S. In the previous period, the set managed fewer than 200. Those numbers mark a staggering growth of more than 3,100% in just a few days. The uptick in pure sales comes after Hit Me Hard and Soft (Isolated Vocals) became widely available once again. Eilish began selling the a cappella set on her website, and those dedicated supporters who missed out in late 2024 began snapping up the release in the thousands. Now, the collection has quickly become a top performer on several Billboard rankings in the U.S. Hit Me Hard and Soft (Isolated Vocals) returns to two charts this week. The project reenters the Vinyl Albums tally at No. 5, where it is one of Eilish's half-dozen top 10s on that list. It also nearly breaks into the top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart, settling at No. 12. Both of those two placements represent new high points for Hit Me Hard and Soft (Isolated Vocals). It's also worth noting that the set has now spent just two weeks on each of those rosters. While Hit Me Hard and Soft (Isolated Vocals) surges, the standard version of the album is largely declining this week. It drops on four of the six Billboard tallies on which it appears, though it does manage to once again lead both the Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts.
