Lewis Hamilton is launching an F1 Soho House pop-up at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Abu Dhabi's F1 weekend is a highlight of the city's social calendar – but this year, it's getting a major upgrade. Enter House 44, a brand-new pop-up experience by Soho House, created in partnership with none other than Lewis Hamilton and hosted inside the prestigious F1 Paddock Club. After debuting earlier this year at the Miami Grand Prix, House 44 is now making its way around six international race locations, with its grand finale landing in Yas Marina Circuit from December 5 to 7, just in time for the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025. So, what's House 44? Imagine a private Soho House, dropped right into the middle of the most exclusive part of a Formula 1 race weekend. It's a luxury suite dressed in signature Soho House style, with unbeatable track views, world-class hospitality, DJ sets, curated art and a mixed drink list that includes a special non-alcoholic serve made with Hamilton's own Almave blue agave drink. It's also a place where F1's elite – including Hamilton himself – just might pop in for a drink and a chat. The name House 44 is a nod to Hamilton's racing number – a number he's had since his karting days and one that's come to represent one of the most decorated careers in motorsport history. As a longtime Soho House member, Hamilton's fingerprints are all over the suite, from the design and drinks menu to the curated showcase of memorabilia and Plus 44 fashion pieces from both current and archive collections. But House 44 isn't just a viewing lounge. Guests will also be able to sign up for behind-the-scenes access experiences across the weekend, including pit lane walks, guided tours of the Paddock and even open-top track rides with expert commentary. There's also the chance to watch the post-race podium celebrations from up close – one of the most coveted spots at any Grand Prix. Expect a high-energy off-track atmosphere too, with live DJs, acoustic sets, a bespoke food menu blending local flavours with global inspiration and a specially curated art collection by Hamilton himself. Think of it as a race-weekend house party, with a touch more horsepower. Hospitality packages for House 44 Abu Dhabi start from Dhs45,577 and include three-day suite access, trackside experiences (subject to availability), full food and drinks and access to all the House 44 exclusives. Experiences like the pit lane walk and Paddock tours are available to book at reception on arrival and are first-come, first-served – so don't sleep on it. In addition to Abu Dhabi, House 44 is popping up at Silverstone, Zandvoort, Monza, Mexico City and Las Vegas – but this is your last chance to catch it for the 2025 season. Tickets must be booked through the official link and not via the Soho House app. Details on race-day transport will be shared by email after booking. So, if you've ever wondered what it's like to spend a Grand Prix weekend in the fast lane – and in signature Soho House style – House 44 in Abu Dhabi is your golden ticket. From Dhs57,841.25. 2025 a standout year for FIA championship: Ben Sulayem
The UAE's prominence on the global motorsport stage has been underlined for another year with confirmation of the FIA's major world championship calendars for 2026. The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place at Yas Marina Circuit from December 4-6 next year in a championship, which will see the next generation of F1 cars running on 100% sustainable fuels. This was confirmed at the FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting in Macau on Tuesday, which was chaired by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem as the federation's global community gathered for the FIA's annual conference. The 2026 FI World Championship again includes three other Middle East rounds, in Bahrain on April 10-12, Saudi Arabia from April 17-19 and Qatar from November 27-29. Saudi again stages back-to-back Jeddah races in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship calendar on February 13-14, while the Middle East also has four rounds in the 2026 F2 Championship coinciding with the F1 races in Bahrain, Saudi, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem speaks during the meeting. Once again, the Dakar Rally in Saudi commences next year's FIA World Rally-Raid Championship from January 3-17, with the Rally du Maroc taking place from September 28 to October 3 and the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge on November 22-27. Bahrain represents the Middle East in the ten-round F3 calendar. Ben Sulayem told World Motor Sport Council members: '2025 is proving to be an exciting year across all our championships with technological milestones being reached, new talent emerging, and battles being fought on the track and across stages each week. 'This year is a powerful opportunity for us to innovate and grow. New agreements across our championships are unlocking fresh potential, we are enhancing the level of competition and expanding our global reach. Each race across our championships shows the passion and dedication of our community.' The World Council approved one of the final pieces of the compelling puzzle that is coming together to mark the start of a brand-new era for the FIA World Rally Championship from 2027. The WRC27 rule set has been undergoing its final refinements and updates over the past six months, and confirmation in Macau of the reference volumes for bodywork cements the commitment set out by the FIA to put flexibility at the core of these regulations. To achieve this, the rules define a zone in which all of the bodywork panels must be located, but within this volume, manufacturers and constructors have the freedom to scale and integrate almost any design. This means that, without effecting performance, cars ranging from saloons to hatchbacks, cross-overs and completely bespoke designs could be entered over the ten-year regulation cycle through to 2037. Meanwhile, a new street circuit in Madrid will make its debut on the Formula 1 schedule in September of next year, replacing the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Imola.

The premier for Brad Pitt's F1 racing film is coming to Abu Dhabi (can you spot the capital's locations?)
It's lights out and away we go – Brad Pitt's high-octane F1 The Movie is officially making its regional premiere in Abu Dhabi on June 25, and it's a full-throttle moment for the capital. Why? Because not only will the city be rolling out the red carpet for Hollywood royalty, it's also the place where key scenes of the movie were filmed – from high-speed drama at Yas Marina Circuit to high-stakes moments at Zayed International Airport and twofour54 Studios. So yes, Abu Dhabi stars just as much as Pitt himself. Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the film follows fictional driver Sonny Hayes – a '90s racing prodigy dubbed 'the greatest that never was' – as he attempts an adrenaline-fuelled comeback after a career-halting crash. The production spent 29 days shooting across Abu Dhabi in December 2024, during the real-life Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and brought together 284 local crew members and 15 interns, turbocharging the city's creative economy in the process. It also made use of Abu Dhabi Film Commission's rebate programme, which has helped draw more than 180 major productions to the region since 2013. 'This premiere marks a full-circle celebration of a major international collaboration,' said Mohamed Dobay, Acting Director General of the Creative Media Authority. 'The economic and creative impact has been incredible.' The premiere takes place a day before the film's official Middle East release – so expect flashing cameras, fast cars, and maybe even a glimpse of Brad himself.
