OGC Nice's Marcin Bulka unenthused by Galatasaray move
Marcin Bulka (25) looks highly likely to leave OGC Nice this summer. The Polish goalkeeper, a key player for Le Gym over the past two seasons, has been in talks over a contract renewal. However, towards the start of last season, those talks hit a brick wall. There has been a deadlock ever since, and there is little optimism over a renewal of talks. Determined not to lose him on a free next summer, Nice are looking to sell Bulka during the ongoing transfer window. Initial interest in Le Gym's No.1 has come from Turkey and more specifically from Galatasaray, according to a report from L'Équipe. Advertisement However, the publication understands that Bulka himself is not particularly enthused by a move to the Turkish club, even if they will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season. Rennes hope to steal Idrissa Gueye from under Everton's noses
According to a report from Foot Mercato, Stade Rennais are interested in bringing Idrissa Gueye (35) back to Ligue 1, with the midfielder set to come to the end of his contract with Everton at the end of the month. Gueye is well-versed with the French top flight, having made his professional debut with Lille OSC in 2010 before leaving in 2015, and having also played for Paris Saint-Germain from 2019 until 2022. The Senegalese international has the distinction of having won Ligue 1 with both of his former sides. Advertisement Rennes will be hoping that they can bring some of that experience to Habib Beye's squad over the summer, with the manager thought to be highly appreciative of the midfielder's skillset. However, they are not the only French side interested, with Paris FC also hopeful of a move. His current side, Everton, have not given up hope that he will continue his stay in England. Barcelona reach preliminary-agreement with Nico Williams
According to an exclusive report from Foot Mercato, Barcelona have reached a preliminary agreement with Nico Williams (22), with the Athletic Club winger expected to sign a contract that will keep him in Catalonia for the next six years. The French outlet also writes that Williams will likely earn €12 million a season if his move to Barcelona is completed. However, an agreement still needs to be reached with Athletic. Williams reportedly has a release clause valued at around €60 million. Advertisement The 22-year-old was a target for Paris Saint-Germain last summer, and had been rumoured to be of interest to Arsenal and Bayern Munich. The Spanish international is thought to want to remain in Spain, and if the move to Barcelona is completed, he'll join up with fellow Euro 2024 winner Lamine Yamal (17). Barcelona are looking to build on a season where they reached the UEFA Champions League semi-final (eliminated by runners-up Internazionale Milan) and won La Liga and the Copa del Rey. St. Pauli's Eric Smith features at top of Lyon's shortlist
St. Pauli's Eric Smith (28) features at the top of Olympique Lyonnais' shopping list, according to a report from Foot Mercato. Lyon are set to lose elements of their defence this summer. Duje Caleta-Car has been shown the door. The Croatian, unhappy with his situation, looks set to leave OL, as does Warmed Omari, who has had an unfruitful loan spell at the club. He will return to parent club, Stade Rennais, upon the conclusion of his loan deal. Advertisement Reinforcements are therefore targeted in this area of the pitch. As per Foot Mercato, Smith, capable of playing at centre-back or in defensive midfield, has emerged as the priority target. Last season, the Swede played in 34 games for Bundesliga side St. Pauli, all of which came as starts. Whilst Les Gones' interest in Smith is strong, the club have not yet made concrete advances to conclude a deal. The club have their meeting with the DNCG, French football's financial watchdog, later this month, with an administrative administration, issued in November, still looming over them. Al-Nassr "pushing' for Kim Minjae signing, player open to transfer
A new suitor has reportedly emerged for Bayern Munich centre-back Kim Minjae. According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr are 'pushing' to sign the South Korean defender and are currently in talks with his management. Advertisement Kim himself is said to be open to the move. The 28-year-old endured a difficult and injury-riddled 2024/25 campaign, facing plenty of criticism, with Bayern reportedly willing to sell him. Kim, currently recovering from Achilles tendon issues, joined the Bavarian giants in 2023 from Napoli for a reported €50 million fee.
