Zeinab Harake on also proposing to Bobby Ray Parks Jr.: ‘Hindi lang ako, dapat ikaw din'
Zeinab Harake and Bobby Ray Parks Jr. made their first-ever TV guest appearance together as a married couple. On Tuesday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the newly wedded couple talked about their relationship, including Zeinab taking her turn to propose to Ray after they got engaged. Zeinab explained her gesture, saying, 'Kasi 'di ba binigyan niya ako ng singsing. So kapagka sa Pilipinas ako, ako may singsing. Kasi siya sa Japan, wala siyang singsing. Sabi ko bibilhan ko 'tong singsing. Sabi ko magpo-propose ako.' The social media personality deliberately chose Nagoya, Japan to do her proposal. 'Sa Nagoya kami nag-start ng dating na eh, 'yung talagang may malalim na connection, feelings, so sabi ko perfect sa Nagoya. And he's transferring to Osaka. So before siya mag-transfer sa Osaka, talagang pinili ko na okay, luluhuran rin kita,' she said. 'Gusto ko kasi lagi siyang may suot na singsing din. Hindi lang ako, dapat ikaw din.' Ray expressed his pleasant surprise at Zeinab's proposal. 'I was actually surprised, pero natuwa rin naman ako,' he said. The couple also opened up about the beginnings of their relationship, with Zeinab initially admitting to not being ready for a relationship. 'Binebebe ko lang siya kasi sabi ko hindi ako ready pumasok sa relasyon. I'm very honest naman talaga sa kaniya from the start na I'm not looking for love at the moment. So talagang bine-bebe ko lang siya. Pakilig lang ako. Pero 'di ko naman alam na i-ti-twist pala ni God 'yung story,' Zeinab said. The couple's journey began with a series of initial meetings, with Zeinab considering their third meeting in Batangas their first true date. ''Yung last before siya mag-Japan. 'Yung dalawa po kasi, galing akong work. First, na-meet ko lang siya sa same location na nandodoon ako. Second, galing akong work. So hindi siya 'yung kaming dalawa lang. So 'yung third time po 'yung kaming dalawa lang,' she said. Ray agreed, saying, 'Nagkaroon na ng intimacy kumbaga 'yung sa third kaya na-consider po namin na date.' After the initial interactions, they saw each other again in Japan. 'After three 'dates,' nag-travel siya sa Japan po. Na-bless po siya ng ticket by her friend,' Ray said. Ray, who was based in Nagoya, traveled to Tokyo to meet Zeinab. According to the couple, their formal courtship officially began when Zeinab made a second, solo trip back to Japan. 'Dinayo ko na siya,' she said, laughing. Zeinab and Ray got married on June 1 in Tagaytay. The venue was decorated with a silver runway and red roses. Among the guests spotted were Hans Sy, Yassi Pressman, Toni Gonzaga, Paul Soriano, Alex Gonzaga, and Awra Briguela. —Carby Rose Basina/CDC, GMA Integrated News

Will Rhian Ramos enter politics? Actress answers
Does Rhian Ramos have plans to enter politics? Rhian guested on Friday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' and opened up about her perspective on politics after witnessing the recent mayoral bid of her boyfriend, Sam Verzosa, who lost in Manila. 'I have to say I was a bit brokenhearted for him kasi 'pag mahal mo 'yung isang tao, you don't want them to be in pain, 'di ba? Ayaw mo silang makita na malungkot or—I was scared na siya 'yung ma-bo-brokenhearted,' she said. Rhian also recounted that Sam cried, which she found understandable given the significant effort and investment he put into the campaign every day. 'He has every right naman kung iiyak siya for himself kasi malaki 'yung tinaya niya, 'di ba? At tsaka every day niyang pinaghirapan 'yon. Pero 'yung iniyak niya sa 'kin, 'yung mga ni-let down niya daw na tao,' she said. When asked if she would consider a career in politics herself after processing Sam's experience, Rhian said, 'Dati sinabi ko ayoko. Nagbago na isip ko. Ayaw na ayaw ko na pala.' 'Ayaw ko talaga. Ang lungkot kasi. I mean, I don't know, siguro just based on what I've seen and what I've experienced, parang I feel like politics is a system that might even work against you pa nga eh. So ayon, depende,' she said. Manila elected Isko Moreno as mayor in the recent election. Meanwhile, Rhian is set to star in 'Sang'gre' as Mitena. She is the twin sister of Cassiopeia, a character played by Solenn Heussaff in the series that aired in 2016. Cassiopeia is the first queen of Lireo. Rhian Ramos shares what it feels like to be the first and only choice to play Mitena in 'Sang'gre'
Rhian Ramos is the first and only choice for the role of Mitena, the evil ice queen, in the highly-anticipated "Encantadia" spinoff series "Sang'gre." On Friday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Rhian shared that she was shocked when she was given the role by Suzette Doctolero, the creator of "Encantadia" and one of the creative consultants for "Sang'gre." "It feels amazing, I take it as very flattering 'yung pangyayari na 'yun. Na-shock talaga ako. This is after right after I finished 'Royal Blood' and ma'am Suzette Doctolero called me and talked to me about two characters on the same day," she said. According to the Sparkle star, Suzette offered her the role of Mitena in "Sang'gre" and Filipina in "Pulang Araw" on the same day. Suzette also wrote the family drama series, which was directed by Dominic Zapata. "I was so overwhelmed, hindi ako makapaniwala that this was going to be my year, na I would do two really, kasi ano eh, dinescribe niya 'yung mga kwento nila and I said these are going to be super memorable roles for me," said Rhian. While the character of Filipina was complex to play, the actress noted that Mitena is more so because of what she went through. "I was so grateful. I'm still grateful and I kind of removed the pressure from my mind while shooting and just focus on the acting. But now, it's starting to crash in again tapos na-realize ko kung gaano ito ka-big deal. I'm nervous, my hands are cold, it's very exciting," she said. Rhian also shared that everyone who worked on "Sang'gre" gave their all to the show. "Ito 'yung naging buhay namin for two years kasi alam namin kung gaano 'to ka importante, kasi marami nang nagmamahal sa 'Encantadia.' 'Encantadia's' bigger than us," she said. "It's not just this show pero may buong legacy na 'yung 'Encantadia' and binigay talaga namin 'yung buong puso namin para hindi kayo ma-disappoint and I believe that you will also feel and like what you're gonna see." Mitena is one of the main antagonists in "Sang'gre." She is the twin sister of Cassiopeia, the first queen of Lireo, who was played by Solenn Heussaff in the 2016 "Encantadia" series. "Sang'gre" will introduce the new keepers of the brilyantes: Flamarra (Faith Da Silva), Deia (Angel Guardian), Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), and Terra (Bianca Umali). Rhian Ramos reveals getting Botox after filming ‘Sang'gre' as Mitena: ‘Masyado akong nagalit'
Rhian Ramos candidly revealed that she went to get Botox on her face after wrapping up her emotionally taxing role as Mitena, the evil ice queen, in 'Sang'gre.' On Friday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' Rhian said that inhabiting Mitena's persona for the project was emotionally challenging. 'It was very challenging for me emotionally para laging ma-reach 'yung level na 'yon of hate, anger, pain, evil, gano'n para umabot ako sa gusto kong pumatay, sumakop, manakit,' she said. Rhian explained that it was 'pretty intense' for her every day. 'First thing na ginawa ko nung natapos 'yun, nagpa-Botox ako agad. Sabi ko masyado akong nagalit, gusto kong hindi gumagalaw ['yung mukha ko], like ayoko nang magalit. Ang intense! Thanks, Dra. Vicki [Belo],' she said. Botox is a cosmetic treatment injected to patients who want to straighten out unwanted wrinkles. After wrapping up taping for the Kapuso series, Rhian desired a period of rest and rejuvenation. 'Parang for the next two months, parang gusto ko na lang magpa-spa, magpaganda, magpa-relax, magpamasahe, magpaayos ng mga kung ano-ano, gusto ko ng magandang skin,' she said. Rhian recalled that they shot the project for two years. 'That's a long time to be angry every day. It takes a toll. And siyempre dahil mahal namin 'yung mga characters namin ang trabaho namin, we're game to do it pero nakaka-wrinkles siya, nakaka-stress siya. Hindi siya nakaka-fresh,' she said. Mitena is one of the main antagonists in 'Sang'gre.' She is the twin sister of Cassiopeia, a character played by Solenn Heussaff in the series that aired in 2016. Ruffa Gutierrez hopes to see ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas again
Ruffa Gutierrez said she hopes to meet her ex-husband, Yilmaz Bektas, once again. On Thursday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Ruffa, who is celebrating her birthday this month, was hypothetically asked who she wants to see in the gathering. "Well, ako, gusto ko si Yilmaz. Kasi ang tagal na naming 'di nagkita. On the phone, naging magkaibigan na kami, nagtetelebabad kami, and I think 'pag in person, aabot kami ng mga eight hours siguro 'pag nagkuwento kami," she said. She amusingly recalled their playful arguments even over the phone about how they first met, with each claiming the other pursued them. "I think it's been more than like 20 years since we last saw each other, since the last time he came to visit me here. So marami kaming pag-uusapan, especially tungkol sa mga anak namin. It may not have to be romantic, but I think it will be nice to have a nice dinner with him," she said. She underscored the necessity of their continued communication due to their children. "Because we have children, we still have to talk. And it's better if you talk and you're in good terms, na magkaibigan kayo," she said. Their current amicable relationship was not easily achieved. Ruffa admitted that it took a significant amount of time and effort to reach this point. "It took a while to get there, Tito Boy, ha. So nag-away kami nang ilang years. Ilang years din kaming hindi nag-usap. May mga times na galit na galit ako sa phone. So ngayon nag-iingat na ako on how to talk about [it]," she said. Addressing public speculation, Ruffa said that Yilmaz is currently single. "He's never been married kasi ang daming nagsasabi he got married again after me. Hindi totoong nagkaroon siya ng bagong asawa. Nagkaroon siya ng fiancée, hindi natuloy. And he doesn't have any children after Lorin and Venice," she said. After separating in 2007, Ruffa and Yilmaz were granted an annulment. They have two daughters together, Lorin and Venice, who reunited with their dad in Turkiye three years ago. They visited him again this year. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News
