Judy Hopps And Nick Wilde Go Undercover In First Zootopia 2 Trailer
Last Updated: Disney has unveiled the first teaser trailer of Zootopia 2, reuniting the beloved Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. It's time to reunite with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, with Disney finally arriving with the much-awaited Zootopia 2. Over two years after the sequel was announced, the first teaser trailer has been dropped, promising more fun and chaos as the rookie cop and con artist go on another mission. Directed by the returning Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Zootopia will show Judy (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick (Jason Bateman) in the middle of a great mystery after the arrival of Gary De'Snake in Zootopia, who turns the animal metropolis upside down. 'To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before," the trailer synopsis reads. The sequel introduces Everything Everywhere All At Once star Ke Huy Quan as the snake Gary, marking an expansion in the Zootopia world to include reptiles and other semi-aquatic creatures. Backed by high-pitched techno beats, the clip opens to show Gary hilariously crossing paths with Nick and Judy, only to lead them in a police chase throughout Zootopia. Along the way, they encounter a mysterious cloaked figure with glowing eyes. With the trio promising a complete riot, the teaser concludes with flashes of several returning characters as well as new faces like Nibbles (Fortune Feimster) and Dr Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson). Not to forget, Shakira is also back, reprising her role as the singer Gazelle. 'Gazelle is back, and she's got a new look, a new song, and, of course, new dance moves. Just wait until you see what she and her tiger dancers have been working on," the pop icon said at the D23 Brazil Expo last year. While Zootopia 2 is directed and written by Jared Bush, the original 2016 film was helmed by Rich Moore and Byron Howard, collecting over $1 billion globally. The film even won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film alongside a Golden Globe. Speaking about the sequel, director Jared Bush welcomed audiences to the 'outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia," promising to take them on a wild ride into the unexplored parts of the city. 'Whether it's the marshes of semi-aquatic mammals, the vast desert dunes, or even greater mysteries beyond, our heroes, Judy and Nick, will meet a lot of new friends and discover even more about the world, themselves, and a brand-new snake in town," he added, as per Deadline. Zootopia 2 releases on November 26. First Published: May 21, 2025, 17:58 IST

Trump's week that was: Deals, claims and downgrade
Donald J Trump has a mastery over occupying attention, verbalising to dominate discourse. Trump explained his approach in The Art of the Deal: 'I play to people's fantasies. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular.' As the world grappled with uncertainty and his word salads, Trump embodied the political version of the film Everything Everywhere All At Once, an exploration of alternative visions and realities. Trump started the week claiming to be a peace-maker. 'My administration helped broker an immediate ceasefire, I think a permanent one between India and Pakistan.' By Thursday, active intervention was toned down to passive persuasion, that he helped settle the tensions between India and Pakistan. Trump's week didn't end well, stained by a no-show by Vladimir Putin, Republicans in rebellion and a downgrade of US by Moody's. That said, the wizardry was in full display Monday through Friday, as Trump courted the royalty of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE to charm and be charmed. The imagery of flattery, tariff threats, and claims of glory were inescapable across touch screens and living rooms. To assess the success, it is necessary to sift the daylight between hyperbole and reality. Trump presented Saudi Arabia with a glimpse of the artful dodge, deal-making with a cocktail of geopolitics and geo-economics. The lifting of sanctions over Syria and a photo-op meeting with Syria's Ahmed al-Sharaa, at the behest of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, provided mood music for the parade of deals. Trump claimed the Saudis would invest over $600 billion in the US. Typically, he summed up saying, 'We are rocking.'
