Peter Andre weighs in about 'drama with exes' after Katie Price's surprising comments about his wife
Peter Andre has offered his thoughts about navigating drama with exes after Katie Price raised eyebrows with her recent comments. Earlier this month, Katie revealed what she really thinks about Peter's wife Emily, noting the fact that she and Peter always used to step out with the whole family, while Emily 'doesn't do all that' for him. Although Peter did not address the comments, he opened up on his thoughts about navigating exes during his latest new magazine column. Addressing Zara McDermott 's ex and new boyfriend coming face to face recently, he shared: ' Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson were both at Soccer Aid together for an incredible cause. The fact they've both been involved with Zara McDermott at some point is secondary for me. 'I think people will always try to make a fuss about dramas with exes, but we don't know what happened, and having been part of Soccer Aid in the past, I know people just focus on the game and the cause, everything else is left off the pitch. That's how it should be.' Peter and Katie split in 2009 after meeting and falling in love on I'm A Celebrity five years prior. Katie addressed her thoughts on Peter's new wife during appearance on comedian Katherine Ryan's What's My Age Again Podcast, admitting their daughter Princess was left baffled by his new relationship. The mother-of-five recalled: '[Princess] says, "You're just so nuts mum. When I see you and Emily, you're just so different. I can't imagine you and dad." 'I said, "I was with your dad six years. Trust me, we had a laugh and bantered together, we did." 'She said, "I just can't imagine dad being like that." I said "But he was, he was like that. We had a laugh." 'And you know, she can't believe that whenever he went anywhere or me, we were together with the kids. And we'd go as a family. 'Emily doesn't do all that for Pete. Me and Pete just did it all together as a family. If we'd got you kids, you would come with us.' Yet she did have kind words for Emily, with Katie adding: 'I'm glad he's with Emily. She seems like a proper lady. I think it'd be weird if he went for someone like me.' Katie - who has revealed she and Peter don't talk at all anymore - recently opened up about the real reason for their divorce. It had long been rumoured that the glamour model and her ex split over her close relationship with her dressage rider Andrew Gould. During an appearance on Paul C Brunson's podcast We Need To Talk, she said: 'We broke up because he thought I was having an affair with my dressage rider, and I've never slept with him. I just kept my horse there, and I was happy keeping my horse there, and he was married. 'But when me and Pete split, because he used to keep saying, "That's it. I've had enough. I've had enough". It got to a point where I went, "Well f***ing divorce me". And I remember the day, because then I flew to the Maldives with the kids. 'That day, I'm at the airport, it's all on Sky News, it wasn't mutual at all. And then I released a statement saying I don't want to split with Pete, it's Pete that's splitting with me. Until this day, me and Pete have never sat down and spoken about it. 'It's all through lawyers. I've never sat down with him, we probably would've sorted it out but we were kept apart.' After they announced their split, Peter said he was 'gutted' that Katie had taken their children to the Maldives villa where they had honeymooned in 2005. He told the Daily Star: 'Being apart from my kids is just breaking my heart. It's destroying me - I'm absolutely gutted.' Katie added that it is 'the most difficult thing' to co-parent, saying: 'But I realised you get to know what people are really like, and I've had it tough. But yeah, it is sad.' The TV personality and her ex-husband were honest about their jealous rows and were regularly seen arguing on their reality show, Katie & Peter. However, it came as a shock to their huge fanbase when they decided to go their separate ways - and seemingly to Katie, too. Revealing it wasn't her choice to split at the time, she said: 'Pete is the love of my life and my life. We have children together, and I am devastated and disappointed by his decision to separate and divorce me as I married him for life. 'This is not what I want, and the decision has been taken out of my hands. I will not comment further or do any interviews regarding the separation, but I will always love my Pete.'

Peter Andre, 52, reveals awkward moment with wife Emily, 35, as he makes a rare comment about their 16-year age gap
Peter Andre has recalled an awkward moment that emphasised his 16-year age gap with wife Emily. The Mysterious Girl singer, 52, was introduced to the NHS doctor, 35, by her father when he was 36 and she was just 20. After striking up an initial friendship, the pair began dating in 2012 before going on to tie the knot in a lavish ceremony three years later in 2015. The couple have three children together and despite the strength of their relationship, Peter has admitted their 16-year age gap can still be very apparent. The star told how Emily revealed her age difference during a hilarious blunder at the Pride Of Britain Awards. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Peter told how iconic rocker Jon Bon Jovi, 63, came to their table at the annual award ceremony to strike up a conversation. Writing in his column for new! magazine, he said: 'There's one thing we do laugh about, though… We were at the Pride of Britain Awards one year and Jon Bon Jovi came over to chat. I've met him many times over the years and he's a lovely person. 'He introduced himself to Emily and after he walked away, she turned to me and said, "Who was that?" I was like, "Are you serious? It's Bon Jovi". In the most confused but innocent voice, she said, "What's a Bon Jovi?" 'We laughed about that a lot afterwards! It's in those moments we may realise the age gap - usually with music and films – but in general, we love the same things. I think it's what works for you in a relationship. Who are we to judge?' The star emphasised that the age gap between him and Emily - 16 years - 'really works' for the couple. He added: 'It all depends on the relationship, how the partners are with each other and how they view things, I think. There's a 16-year gap between me and Emily, and it really works for us.' Peter that they had a 'good laugh' about her lack of knowledge of classic rock music and said that it's really just popular culture references that set the couple apart. The couple largely keep their relationship - and their children Amelia, 11, Theo, eight, and Arabella, 13 months - out of the spotlight, but fans of the family could soon be seeing them more. MailOnline recently revealed that Peter and Emily will feature in his daughter Princess Andre's forthcoming ITV reality show. Peter co- parents Princess, who turns 18 later this month, and her older brother Junior, 19, with his ex-wife Katie Price, 47. The former couple famously met on the 2004 series I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and married the following year. The relationship came to an abrupt end in 2009 and Katie has gone on to have numerous engagements and marriages since. Peter, meanwhile, met Emily after he had a kidney stone removed by her father, Dr Ruaraidh MacDonagh, a consultant urologist, back in 2010. Katie is not set to appear in Princess' new fly-on-the-wall programme, which will see the influencer become a celebrity in her own right. The show will follow her work and home life as she prepares to reach the milestone age of 18 and last month, the popular teenager was spotted with a camera crew outside the London offices of hair styling brand GHD. A television insider told MailOnline: 'Katie will not be in Princess's show, the decision has been made and it's final. 'Princess loves her mum, and they have a great relationship, but the show is all about her work and home life. 'Television bosses were adamant that nothing was to be 'staged' to include Katie as it would not be a real and truthful insight into her life.'

The Dubai-like spa hotel in the UK where Peter Andre and wife Emily go on child-free weekends
PETER Andre is a busy man, particularly now that his new movie, Jafaican, is being released, but there are times when he does like to put his feet up. The singer-turned-actor recently raved about his two favourite spa hotels in the UK. 6 6 One is spa Champneys, which coincidentally is celebrating its 100 year anniversary. Peter, who often visits the Henlow branch, told Sun Travel: "Champneys is like a home from home, who doesn't love it?" "I remember when I first came to England and people would say to me 'go and have a break at Champneys'. The food is great, I love using the pool and the gym - it has everything. "When I go it feels like a weight off my shoulders. I have been with Emily before, and we love it. You can make a day of it, and it's always really great." Peter married wife Dr Emily MacDonagh in July 2015, meaning this year they will be celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary. "It's hard to convince Emily to spend time away from the baby," added Peter, who with Emily shares 13 month old Arabella. "But the baby's over a year old now, and because it's our tenth wedding anniversary, I'd love to go somewhere with her - maybe for one night." Champneys is celebrating its 100th year after first opening its Stanley Lief health farm in 1925. To celebrate, they have various anniversary spa packages including spa days, stays and even boot camp options - a one-night stay at Champneys Henlow can cost from £154 per person. Another UK spa that Peter is a fan of, for anyone wanting to splash out, is the Fairmont in Windsor which he says reminds him of Dubai. 6 6 "When you walk in, it's like being in one of those incredible hotels in Dubai, it's unbelievable. And I don't know how people haven't discovered it yet. "It's incredible, even if you go just for one day to their spa." Fairmont Spa Windsor's Twilight Spa Package costs £270 for a spa day Monday to Thursday, and £290 for a spa day Friday to Sunday. Ahead of the release of his upcoming film, Jafaican, Peter went on a big family trip with his children, Junior, 19, and Princess, 17 and Amelia, 11, Theo, 9, and Arabella, 13 months, who he shares with his wife, Emily. Having been scoping out child-friendly destinations for so many years, Peter has high praise for Yas Island in Abu Dhabi - and with good reason. Peter told us: "Yas Island is the most child-friendly place I've ever been to - it's a kids' paradise. 6 "They cater for children first which is something I've never seen anywhere else. And then they've made it exciting for the adults - normally it's the other way around." The family made sure to check out Ferrari World, which is home to the world's fastest rollercoaster, as well as the huge Aquaventure World waterpark. Yas Island is also set to welcome yet another theme park, which Disney announced in May 2025. Peter recently returned to Australia for the world premiere of his comedy film Jafaican, which will be out in UK cinemas on May 20, 2025. Peter plays Gazza, a small-time London crook who takes on a high-stakes con job to cover £35,000 bill for his grandmother's care home fees. This English hotel is set to open 'secret garden spa' with swim-up pool bar and waterfalls. And this posh UK spa hotel praised by mums as perfect for kids – thanks to Ofsted creche, huge playbarn and early teatime. 6
