Princess Beatrice shares a rare public kiss with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi as temperatures soar at Royal Ascot
Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi packed on the PDA at Royal Ascot today as they shared a rare public kiss. The affectionate couple were spotted laughing and pointing as they followed the day's action, clearly caught up in the excitement of the track at the Berkshire racecourse. Beatrice, 36, embraced the early summer heatwave with a standout look that channelled garden-party chic. Opting for a printed Monique Lhuillier dress in this season's must-have hue, sunshine yellow, the royal wowed in a bold A-line silhouette adorned with graphic florals. Styled by Olivia Buckingham, the princess completed her look with a Justine Bradley Hill hat, a structured Mark Cross clutch and a pair of timeless Manolo Blahnik heels. Her husband, Edoardo, 41, complemented her summery ensemble with a red velvet tie, adding a hint of playful elegance to his otherwise traditional formalwear. And in one passionate moment, the royal couple drew in for a tender kiss amid the chaos of the races. It seemed love was in the air at the races today, as Princess Anne's son Peter Phillips and his new girlfriend Harriet Sperling were also spotted having a smooch. Royal Ascot, one of the most anticipated events in the British social calendar, is known not just for its high-stakes racing but also for its fashion spectacle. Attended by members of the royal family and elite guests, it's a chance for royals to showcase their personal style. With soaring temperatures and the official start of summer, the princess's floral moment felt perfectly timed. And other members of The Firm once again descended on Royal Ascot amid soaring 32C temperatures. Members of the royal family - including Peter Phillips and his new girlfriend Harriet Sperling - appeared not to break a sweat on the racecourse despite scorching temperatures during Ladies Day at the Berkshire Races. King Charles, 76, sat next to Queen Camilla, 77, in the first carriage as it travelled past packed stands - although there was once again no sign of the Princess of Wales, who withdrew from yesterday's events at the last minute. There were no less than 10 members of the royal family in today's official procession, keeping their cool after the UK was put on an amber heat health alert for the first time since September 2023. But as the mercury soared well into the 30s, some racegoers began to fall ill in the baking heat. According to the BBC, a spokesperson for the event said one person was taken to hospital, while 42 more received treatment on site. With 41,000 spectators attending yesterday alone, staff have been giving out free water, while installing additional gazebos and parasols. Today, Peter Phillips was once again joined by his NHS girlfriend Harriet Sperling - after they joined the official carriage procession on Tuesday - and the couple were seen holding hands and even shared a smooch in the royal enclosure. Harriet, 45, looked radiant once again in a gorgeous yellow ensemble, adding a matching fascinator with a bow - in a display truly fit for royalty. Peter, 47, who is King Charles's nephew and the son of Princess Anne, has been dating Harriet for over a year, after breaking up with his previous partner of three-years, Lindsay Wallace. The duo seemed sweetly loved-up as they held hands, while Peter even matched his tie to the butter yellow shade of Harriet's dress. Following the procession, Harriet was seen in conversation with a very amused King Charles - yet another indication that she's been granted the royal sign of approval. In sweltering temperatures spectators swept into the famous Berkshire racecourse before the feature race of the week, the Gold Cup, with the winning jockey and trainer receiving their prizes from the King and Queen. In the second carriage today was the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh as well as Princess Anne, 74, and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. Charles's stylish nieces Zara Tindall, 44, and her husband Mike, 46, as well as Beatrice and her husband Edoardo, featured in the third and fourth carriage. Zara herself looked glamorous in a monochrome Laura Green shirt dress, which she teamed with an elegant hat.

How Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is redefining bespoke design: Princess Beatrice's husband's latest project is a US$74 million home in London's Belgravia that blends vintage charm and responsible luxury
A quick Google search of Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi 's name brings up multiple headlines hinting at his many lives in the spotlight. He is, after all, the husband of Princess Beatrice, a descendant of Italian nobility himself, and the founder and CEO of London-based design studio Banda, which now boasts high-end, high-profile projects everywhere from Hyde Park to the Hamptons. First and foremost, however, the luxury property developer will have you know he's also a child of divorce, speaking with unexpected candour about how the experience has shaped his life trajectory and informed his design philosophy. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's design studio Banda boasts a number of high-end, high-profile projects. Photo: Handout Advertisement 'Having lived in multiple homes with divorced parents and seeing how much design affects family life, the built environment, especially at home, was so important to me,' he tells me matter-of-factly over a video call from London on a sunny Monday morning. Above all, Mozzi is a figure who understands the nuances of family life better than many. Now 41, with several notable property projects under his belt and prestigious clients to match, he's a full-time family man himself, a far cry from the fresh-faced 23-year-old university graduate who started his business with little credentials beyond bold, brash ideas and a sense of urgency to do things differently. 'I guess there was a lot of naivete in me at the time, with a huge amount of energy,' the entrepreneur muses. 'I came to London looking for exciting opportunities and, looking at what other developers were doing, felt there was a lot of generic luxury. Everything looked the same architecturally, interior-wise. Everything felt very uncomfortable – you'd walk into very expensive houses, people telling you, 'take your shoes off'. You didn't feel comfortable sitting down.' Banda's newest project is 5 Whistler Square, in the heart of London's Belgravia district. Photo: Handout Banda's answer to generic luxury has been anything but, blending past, present and future together in what Mozzi calls a completely bespoke manner. The developer's latest project, 5 Whistler Square – housed in the Chelsea Barracks neighbourhood, in the heart of London's famously lavish Belgravia district – is steeped in this ethos of luxury with character, every corner exuding a sense of familiarity for those who strive to fill their inner worlds with the same amount of love and care. 'Good design today is different from what good design [will be] in the future, so you need to be authentic to the location,' he says. Mozzi has spoken liberally in interviews about his desire to create spaces that feel lived in not just right at the start, but that seem even more homely with time. He describes working with the world's finest ateliers to include new pieces that bring energy into any given space, building maybe '30, 40 per cent of the furniture, interiors designed specifically for that project', before introducing vintage furnishings with their own exciting existing personalities into the mix. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi says living spaces need to feel more homely with time. Photo: Handout Orchestrating these voices of varying origins to sing harmoniously together is no simple task, but there's an ease and effortlessness to Banda homes that make you feel as though you might've curated them yourself. A 1950s chandelier by Barovier, the famed Murano glassware maker, takes pride of place in 5 Whistler Square's otherwise airy and modern principal bedroom, anchoring the space as an elegant centrepiece that appears frozen in time. Its quirkier counterpart, a custom velvet banana sofa by luxury homeware brand de Le Cuona – which, in its art deco style, evokes another era but otherwise feels made for the moment – adds that tangible warmth that makes the space come alive. 'One of the things … that made me feel uncomfortable was that [in] a lot of these homes where everything was new, day one [move-in day] was the best day,' says Mozzi. 'To do a little bit of vintage – maybe 10 per cent, maybe it's 20 – allows the new to breathe, to age gracefully.'

Princess Beatrice's Husband's Ex Just Sent Telling Message About Their Relationship: ‘There's Always…'
When we think about the British Royal family and the drama that always seems to be surrounding them, we usually focus on the same people. There's a lot to focus on there, after all. King Charles is sick. Succession plans are reportedly underway. Prince William and Kate Middleton have had to contend with divorce rumors, and then reconciliation rumors, and then reports that Middleton was trying to intercede in the relationship between her husband and Prince Harry. And then there's Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are no longer working royals and whose relationship with the rest of the family is strained at best. But there are other members of the royal family, and other issues. One of those examples comes from Prince Andrew's daughter, Princess Beatrice. Prince Andrew has remained mostly out of the public eye since reports of his close friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, but his daughters have continued with their royal duties. And people remain very interested in Prince Beatrice in particular, due to her unusual family dynamics. More from StyleCaster Princess Beatrice Was 'In Tears Every Day' After Prince Andrew's Disastrous Interview-Here's If He Still Talks To His Daughters Looks Like Beatrice & Eugenie Have Picked Sides in Harry & William's Drama Related: Did William really cheat on Kate? Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020 and has two daughters with him, Sienna and Athena. Mapelli Mozzi, however, has an older son, a nine-year-old son, Christopher Woolf 'Wolfie' Mapelli Mozzi. He shares Wolfie with ex-fiancée Dara Huang. But who is Dara Huang? And what are the family dynamics in this blended family? Huang is a successful American architect who is now based in London, where in 2013 she founded the architecture and design firm Design Haus Liberty. Huang is also the co-founder of a furniture and interiors brand with J. Christopher Burch, called Dara Maison. By all reports, Huang, Mapelli Mozz,i and Princess Beatrice get along very well, and have successfully co-parented Wolfie for the last few years without any issues. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar UK, Huang said about co-parenting, 'Wolfie has had two sets of parents trying to help him on both sides, and I just think, 'The more, the merrier,'' adding, 'I feel lucky to have such positive people around him, who really embrace him, because it didn't have to be so easy.' For Huang, your kids should come first. 'It's all about your point of view. I don't understand people who are divorced and then hold their children as collateral; that doesn't make any sense. It's about creating a happy home and lifestyle.' The single mom recently spoke about just that, being a single mom, in an Instagram post alongside a friend, Bella Koenig, who got married in Tuscany. 'Single moms rock! Here's one for all the single moms out there,' she said, adding, 'There's always going to be a wonderful man who will love your baby as much as you do and will take responsibility for all of your lives together as a blended family. Proof to never give up on love!' Princess Beatrice, meanwhile, has referred to herself as a 'bonus mum' to Wolfie and spoken about how it's a 'great honour' to be in his life. Huang just split from Spanish investor Filippos Kodellas de la Morena. She previously dated Mapelli Mozzi from 2015 to 2018. Their son, Christopher 'Wolfie' Mapelli Mozzi, was born in 2016. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Princess Beatrice married in 2020.
