Mets at Phillies prediction: Odds, expert picks, starting pitchers, betting trends, and stats for June 20

It's Friday, June 20 and the Mets (45-30) are in Philadelphia to take on the Phillies (45-30). Blade Tidwell is slated to take the mound for New York against Zack Wheeler for Philadelphia. The Phillies are 7-1 in the last eight games and 8-2 over the past 10 to follow up a 0-5 and 1-9 stretch of play. Philadelphia took three out of four against Miami despite outscoring the Marlins 14-13. The Mets are on a six-game losing streak after being swept by Tampa Bay and Atlanta. New York has scored 14 runs in that span with three games of one or fewer run. New York swept Philadelphia earlier this season at home, so this appears to be good timing for the Phillies to win the series and attempt to extract revenge in the form of a series sweep. Let's dive into the matchup and find a sweat or two. Microsoft 365 is DOWN: Hundreds of users report problems with Outlook and Teams

Hundreds of Microsoft 365 users have expressed frustration and confusion with unexplained issues with software programs including Outlook, Teams and Exchange. X has been flooded with posts from baffled users who are unable to use the popular applications. 'Why is this happening, please, when I [use] my android Outlook?' one woman asked, sharing a video of a blank screen while she tried to use the email app on Monday evening. 'OMFG I hate Microsoft Word!!!! Has it always sucked this bad?' another outraged user echoed. 'Well that's had a memory leak or something - got up to about 5Gb of RAM before I task-killed it,' a man posted while sharing an ambiguous message that his 'session has unusually high memory consumption.' According to Downdetector tracking, Microsoft 365 complaints spiked just before 7pm EST with over 1,400 reports. Sixty percent of those complaints are pertaining to Outlook, while 26 percent are about Exchange and 15 percent are about the website in general, the tracker reported. Microsoft has addressed the outages, sharing a service status update reading: 'We're having issues, but we're working on it.' The company shared on X they are investigating reports regarding several services, specifically Teams and Exchange. The firm specifically indicated issues with Microsoft 365 - which Exchange falls under - at 5:45pm EST. 'Users may experience degraded functionality for some Microsoft 365 apps,' the notice reads, marking a red 'x' to indicate its current status. 'We've confirmed that all services are recovering following our mitigative actions. We're continuing to monitor recovery and in parallel confirm details regarding the impacting update.' Just before 8:30pm, Microsoft updated the message to say that all issues with 365 have been resolved. The software giant also noted that Teams is down. Microsoft noted users 'may experience intermittent crashes of the Microsoft Teams desktop app.' 'We've initiated the deployment of the new build version containing our fix, and anticipate it will complete by our next scheduled update on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM UTC, remediating impact for all users,' the statement reads. However, this warning pertaining to Teams troubles was first rolled out on May 26. The company said that Outlook 'is up and running,' despite people complaining about not being able to use the email service online. On Friday, the Microsoft 365 team published a possible 'workaround' to Outlook crashes On Friday, the Microsoft 365 team published a possible 'workaround' to Outlook crashes. This online document was updated on Monday morning, before the internet was swarmed with Outlook-related complaints. 'When you open or start a new email, classic Outlook crashes. This issue occurs because Outlook cannot open the Forms Library,' the company wrote. 'This issue can occur for Outlook on all Microsoft 365 Office channels. The emerging cases for this issue are on virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). 'This issue has been escalated for investigation. We will update this topic when we know more.' Listing out step-by-step instructions to the potential quick fix, the support team suggested creating a FORMS2 folder. Microsoft 365 is used by more than two million companies globally - with more than a million business customers in the US, according to Statista data from February.

Private Japanese Lunar Lander Crashes Into Moon's Surface

Resilience, a lunar lander produced by the Japanese aerospace firm Ispace, has crashed into the Moon's surface. The lander was Ispace's second failed attempt at placing a spacecraft on the Moon; a third will follow in 2027. After launching into space on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in January and spending nearly six months on a gravity-fueled journey toward the Moon, Resilience was poised to land Thursday afternoon (early Friday morning in Japan). If all went well, the lander would touch down near the center of Mare Frigoris, a lunar sea near the Moon's north pole. But all did not go well. One minute and 45 seconds before Resilience's scheduled touchdown, mission control abruptly lost communication with the spacecraft. In the minutes immediately following the scheduled landing (3:17 p.m. EST, or 4:17 a.m. JST), Ispace terminated its live stream, noting that it would continue to attempt contact with Resilience. That's the message the company continued to communicate on social media for roughly two hours after Resilience went quiet. The last telemetry update Ispace provided before terminating its live stream. Credit: Ispace Then, at nearly 8:30 p.m. EST, Ispace CEO Takeshi Hakamada appeared in an impromptu media conference to confirm that the mission was a failure. Mission control would no longer attempt to reestablish communications with its spacecraft. "This is our second failure, and about these results, we have to really take it seriously,' Hakamada said in translation, referring to the company's first attempt to place a lander on the Moon in April 2023. Though Ispace hasn't had enough time to conduct a thorough postmortem investigation, its engineers believe Resilience experienced a "hard landing" on the lunar surface, according to a statement published Friday morning. "The laser rangefinder used to measure the distance to the lunar surface experienced delays in obtaining valid measurement values," the statement reads. "As a result, the lander was unable to decelerate sufficiently to reach the required speed for the planned lunar landing. Based on these circumstances, it is currently assumed that the lander likely performed a hard landing on the lunar surface." Ispace will nonetheless attempt a soft landing again in 2027, when its third and fourth missions aim a new spacecraft, Apex 1.0, at the far side of the Moon.
