Chelsea Green wants a Total Divas comeback, boldly credits show for NXT's women's boom
WWE star Chelsea Green is not one to shy away from a hot take, and her latest comments might be her boldest yet. In a recent appearance on the Lightweights podcast, Green didn't just express hope for a Total Divas revival, she claimed the reality show was responsible for the majority of women currently in WWE's NXT division. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now 'Total Divas is what got 75% of the females in NXT there,' Green said, calling the E! Network series a cultural force that helped introduce women - and families - to professional wrestling. According to her, the show's impact goes far beyond entertainment. 'It attracted those women to wrestling,' she added. 'It brought everyone together.' While the number might raise eyebrows, especially among fans of indie veterans like Asuka or Rhea Ripley - Green stood firm in her belief that Total Divas was a key driver in building WWE's women's division into what it is today. WWE CHELSEA GREEN on Women's Evolution PLE, U.S. Championship, Piper Niven, and New Netflix Show The show, which ran for nine seasons from 2013 to 2019, followed the personal and professional lives of WWE's female superstars, including The Bella Twins, Natalya, Paige, Maryse, and others. Though often dismissed as 'reality fluff,' the series undeniably played a role in elevating female wrestlers into mainstream pop culture. Improvisation in WWE Deserves More Credit Green also opened up about the behind-the-scenes demands of being a WWE Superstar, specifically the need for improvisation. Recalling her Statue of Liberty 'inauguration' promo, she revealed that she wrote the entire 10-minute segment herself. 'There's no one to help you if you forget,' she explained. 'The pressure is crazy.' Her larger point? WWE stars don't get enough credit for how much improv work they're constantly doing, not just in matches but in promos and even at ringside. Her comments subtly challenge the perception that WWE is over-scripted, instead offering insight into how live performance and quick thinking are integral to a wrestler's success. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Zelina Vega vs. Chelsea Green | Women's U.S. Title Match: Saturday Night's Main Event, May 24, 2025 Currently recovering from a broken nose sustained during a match with Zelina Vega, Green hasn't slowed down. She's competing in the ongoing Queen of the Ring tournament and recently pitched a bold match idea: a hair vs. hair bout against WWE legend at a potential Evolution event. Meanwhile, Green admitted she's ready to move past her feud with Vega. 'I think they're done with me and Zelina,' she said. 'I don't want them to get bored of that championship.' With her transparency, creativity, and willingness to break character outside the ring, Chelsea Green is emerging as a unique voice in WWE - one focused not just on personal success, but on how wrestling evolves for fans and performers alike. Kristin Cavallari shares rare snap of all three of her children with ex Jay Cutler
vowed to never show the faces of her three children until they decided on their own 'when they get older,' and that day officially came on Monday. The divorced 38-year-old posted a snap of her 10-year-old son Jaxon Wyatt Cutler, nine-year-old daughter Saylor James Cutler, and 12-year-old son Camden Jack Cutler having fun outside their Tennessee home. Kristin - who boasts 6.9M social media followers - captioned her Instagram slideshow: 'My favorite nights.' One major reason Cavallari has been sharing more footage of her family is they're all appearing in her new reality show Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour, which premieres June 5 on the E! Network. 'The [children] were really excited about filming,' the Let's Be Honest podcaster insisted on March 25. 'It was more just a cool experience to have together. And, again, they wanted to. I mean, I wasn't like, "You're filming." I asked them if they would be cool with it, and they were all really excited about it. And they they had fun with it.' The upcoming series captured all of the action behind the scenes of Kristin's five-date Let's Be Honest 'Headline Tour.' Cavallari first found fame on two MTV reality shows Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County (2004)-2006) and The Hills (2009-2010). Last December, the Uncommon James founder confessed that co-parenting has been 'so up and down' with her ex-husband Jay Cutler. 'It's really hard. It has not been easy to say the least,' Kristin lamented on the Dumb Blonde podcast last December. Cavallari referred to the 41-year-old Gratis Beer founder as a 'pathological liar' and 'narcissist' just like her estranged father Dennis Cavallari: 'I ended up marrying my dad.' But the Denver-born beauty still doesn't regret their 'toxic' seven-year marriage, which ended in 2020 and their divorce was finalized in 2022: 'There is so much good that came out of our relationship.' Next Tuesday, Jay will celebrate his 42nd birthday with his fiancée Samantha Robertson, who he popped the question to last November after a year of dating. The engagement came a month after Cutler was arrested for DUI and gun possession after his White Ram rear-ended a car and he allegedly offered the driver $2K if they didn't call police - according to TMZ Sports. Meanwhile, Kristin is currently enjoying a long-distance 'deep fling' with retired NHL player Nate Thompson. Cavallari ended her seven-month relationship with 25-year-old toyboy Mark Estes last September.
