PennDOT: Lane restriction next week on I-78 at I-81 split in Union Twp.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced a lane restriction is scheduled for next Tuesday, June 24, on eastbound Interstate 78 at the Interstate 81 split in Union Township. Weather permitting, officials said, work will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m. A right lane restriction will be in place on eastbound I-78 during work hours. "A PennDOT maintenance crew from Lebanon County will provide traffic control," officials said in a release. "Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone." PennDOT said the restriction will be in place so a contractor can replace a weather information sensor on the roadway. Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting The free 24-hour service provides residents with traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts and traffic speed information. DVI of Lebanon County launches Men Against Abuse Campaign to raise awareness
Domestic Violence Intervention of Lebanon County has launched a fundraising campaign to unite men in raising awareness about domestic violence in the community. Called the Men Against Abuse Campaign, DVI invites 100 men or men's groups to "come together and make a public statement that domestic violence is unacceptable in our community." "For $100, you can make a donation to DVI on behalf of yourself, a group or in memory of a friend or loved one," organizers said in a release. The names of all contributors and their honorees will be listed in print and online local news media around Father's Day, as well as on DVI's social media pages. Donations may be made via check payable to DVI of Lebanon County, PO Box 42, Lebanon, PA 17042 or online at Within the last year, DVI staff helped more than 1,200 victims in Lebanon County through their crisis hotline, shelter, counseling, support group and advocacy programs. Officials said one in three women and one in four men will experience domestic violence in their lifetimes. "By lending your names as part of our inaugural event, you will be taking a stand in a very important way," officials said. "It is our hope that this campaign will grow and become an annual declaration, inspiring others to learn more about domestic violence and create a local men's movement to raise awareness and unite with DVI to help prevent it." Domestic Violence Intervention of Lebanon County has been serving domestic-violence victims and their children in Lebanon County for more than 30 years. The organization provides 24-hour crisis intervention and shelter, legal advocacy, supportive services, housing advocacy, a community support group, public education and community outreach. Tröegs was voted top brewery tour in America by USA TODAY readers for another year
Tröegs Independent Brewing of Hershey, well known for beers like the year-round Perpetual IPA and the holiday seasonal beer, Mad Elf Ale, was voted by USA TODAY readers as the No. 1 brewery tour in the country. The one-hour tour of Tröegs takes visitors on a behind-the-scenes look at the mill room, hop cooler, brewhouse deck, fermentation cellars and packaging lines. Tröegs was also voted No. 1 in brewery tour in the country by USA Today readers in 2024. Owners told the Lebanon Daily News that they were honored to have snagged this award for 5 consecutive years.
