The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced 320 vacancies for the post of Scientist/Engineer for the 2025 recruitment cycle. The official notification was released on ISRO's website, and interested candidates can apply online until 16 June openings are in the fields of Electronics (113 posts), Mechanical (160 posts), and Computer Science Engineering (44 posts). HP: Govt college student hangs self in hostel, police finds suicide note blaming female college mate, ET Education
Advt Mandi (HP), A student of a government college was found hanging in his hostel room in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district with police recovering a suicide note in which he blamed a female collegemate for him taking the extreme step, officials said on incident came to light on Saturday when other students, of Jawahar Lal Nehru Engineer College , Sundernagar, knocked on the door of Arpit Sharma, a fourth semester Computer Science student, and they broke it down upon receiving no response. Rushing into the room they found Sharma's body hanging with a recovered a suicide note from his room which revealed that the extreme step was taken on account of an ongoing affair, following which a second semester female student of the college was arrested for abetting was booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section 108 (abetment of suicide) based on the complaint of Sharma's mother who alleged that her son killed self after being blackmailed by the body has been handed over to the family members following a postmortem, police accused was produced before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sundernagar. She has been remanded to two days police custody, they added. PTI

From Smart TVs To Projectors: Rajya Sabha MPs To Get Modern Gadgets To Boost Efficiency
Last Updated: The decision was made in a meeting on May 23, where it was agreed to expand the list of eligible technology tools that MPs can purchase using their financial entitlements. Members of the Rajya Sabha will now get access to the latest digital tools, including smart TVs, projectors, wearables, and other advanced gadgets, aimed at enhancing their efficiency in official duties. The decision was made under the revised 'Scheme of Financial Entitlement of Members of Rajya Sabha for Computer Equipment', based on the 2008 Rules on Provision of Computer Equipment for MPs and officers. The decision was finalised in a meeting held on May 23, where it was agreed to expand the list of eligible technology tools that members can purchase using their financial entitlements. Under the scheme, Rajya Sabha MPs are eligible for financial support to procure IT equipment and software as follows: Rs 2,00,000 for members elected or nominated for a term exceeding three years. Rs 1,50,000 for members elected in a by-election for a term of three years or less. An additional Rs 1,00,000 is granted after three years in office, provided the remaining term is at least six months. MPs must submit original purchase bills to get reimbursed for the gadgets. The move is seen as part of a broader effort to modernise parliamentary functioning and equip lawmakers with tools to stay connected, informed, and digitally efficient. First Published:
