A parental abduction on Thursday night triggered an Amber Alert after a mother kidnapped her 6-year-old son in Little Havana, police say. Ryan Figueroa, 6, was last seen in the 1300 block of Southwest First Street, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said. Officials note he is with his mother, 34-year-old Ismari Figueroa Leon, in a 2012 black Chevy Equinox with license plate number RUZG29. He was wearing a white polo shirt and black joggers, while Ismari was wearing a black jumper. Ryan is 3 feet 5 inches tall, about 70 to 80 pounds and has brown hair and eyes. Ismari is 5 feet 8 inches and has multiple tattoos. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Miami Police Department at 305-579-6111.

Man arrested in connection to 2023 crash that left East Haven cyclist dead

EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A North Haven man was charged in the 2023 death of a cyclist in East Haven, police said. Stephen Cote, 35, was allegedly driving a 2008 Chevy Equinox on Foxon Road when he struck 19-year-old bicyclist Joshua Cervero on July 16, 2023. Pedestrian suffers serious injuries after being hit by vehicle in Vernon Cervero died from his injuries on July 18, 2023. Investigation revealed that Cote was allegedly traveling at an estimated 57 mph in a 35 mph zone. The right headlight was also allegedly not working before the incident. Cote was charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, traveling unreasonably fast and failure to have headlamps. He will appear in New Haven Superior Court on June 25. Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash near Abilene

DICKINSON COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — A 64-year-old Oklahoma man was seriously injured Saturday morning in a crash on K-15 Highway in Dickinson County. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 11:30 a.m. near mile marker 151, just north of 300 Avenue. A Harley-Davidson motorcycle rear-ended a Chevy Equinox that was turning east onto 300 Avenue. This area is just north of Abilene, where K-15 intersects with Interstate 70. KDOT changes weekend closure plans for I-135 in Wichita The motorcyclist was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with suspected serious injuries.
