Bajaj Chetak 3001 vs TVS iQube vs Ather Rizta vs Vida V2 vs Honda QC1: Price comparison

The recently launched Bajaj Chetak 3001 is the new most affordable variant in the Chetak family. The Chetak 3001 replaces the Chetak 2903, and is priced at ₹99,990 (ex-showroom). At this price point, the model competes against entry-level variants of several popular electric scooters, including the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Vida V2, and Honda QC1. The new Suzuki e-Access sits this one out since prices are yet to be announced. How does the new Bajaj Chetak 3001 stack up against the competition? Let's take a look. The Chetak 3001 takes on the TVS iQube 2.2 variant, which is also priced at ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom). The base trim comes with a much smaller 2.2 kWh battery pack, promising a range of 94 km (IDC) on a single charge. In contrast, the Chetak 3001 gets a 3 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 127 km. The Chetak also supports 750-watt charging, while the iQube 2.2 gets a 650-watt charger. Notably, those wanting more range on the iQube can opt for the 3.5 kWh variant that offers a 145 km range (IDC), but also costs more at ₹1.31 lakh (ex-showroom). (Also read: Bajaj Chetak 3001 launched as the new entry-level variant, priced at ₹1 lakh) The Rizta S is the base trim on the electric scooter priced at ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The model packs a 2.9 kWh battery pack that offers 123 km (IDC) range on a single charge, identical to the Chetak 3001. The Rizta S packs the essentials on the feature front but uses a slower 375-watt charger, elongating the charging time to 6 hours and 30 minutes to top up the battery from 0-80 per cent. In comparison, the Chetak 3001 takes about 3 hours and 50 minutes to do the same. However, the Rizta S can be charged via a fast charger on the Ather grid, which drops the charging time significantly. The Vida V2 Plus is priced at ₹85,300 (ex-showroom) and is the only scooter here that comes with removable batteries. The Hero MotoCorp-backed electric scooter comes equipped with a 3.44 kWh battery capacity and a claimed range of 143 km (IDC) on a single charge. The V2 Plus can also use the Ather grid's fast charger for fast charging, but the stock charger is a slow unit, pushing the charging time to 5 hours and 15 minutes for 0-80 per cent. Honda's maiden electric scooter for India is priced at ₹90,000 (ex-showroom) and is the smallest off the lot when compared to everything else on sale. The more comparable Honda Activa e is priced at a substantial ₹1.17 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, but also comes with only battery-swapping technology, against a fixed battery on the Chetak 3001. The Honda electric scooter is equipped with a small 1.5 kWh battery pack, promising a claimed range of 80 km on a single charge. Despite the small battery, it takes longer than the Chetak to charge from 0-80 per cent at 4 hours and 30 minutes, thanks to the 330-watt charger available with the model.

Bajaj Chetak 3001: 5 practical highlights of the new everyday electric scooter

The Bajaj Chetak 3001 is priced at ₹99,990 (ex-showroom). Bajaj Auto has launched the Chetak 3001, the latest addition to its electric two-wheeler lineup, aimed at refining what made its predecessor, the Chetak 2903, a hit. Built on the same platform as the Chetak 35 Series, this version introduces small but meaningful upgrades to improve day-to-day usability, particularly for Indian urban commuters. The Chetak 3001 is not a radical redesign but a thoughtful update that addresses practical concerns like stability, range, storage and reliability. While the ex-showroom price of ₹ 99,990 keeps it competitive, its appeal will likely rest on how well it performs in real-world riding conditions rather than on headline-grabbing features. For those looking for an EV scooter for daily city use with reliable support infrastructure, the Chetak 3001 offers a solid, if understated, alternative. Below are five key highlights that define the Chetak 3001: Check out Upcoming Bikes In India. Bajaj Chetak 3001 Electric Scooter All Set To Be Launched In India Soon

Bajaj Auto is all set to bolster its electric scooter portfolio with the launch of a new Chetak model. Likely to be called the Chetak 3001, the upcoming scooter is expected to arrive later this week, aiming to strengthen the company's presence in the increasingly competitive electric scooter segment. Although official specifications are yet to be confirmed, early information suggests the Chetak 3001 could either serve as a new addition to the current range or replace the existing Chetak 2903. The scooter is likely to be powered by a 3.1 kW electric motor, and have a top speed of 62 kmph. Staying true to its nomenclature, the Chetak 3001 is expected to feature a 3 kWh battery pack, balancing range and performance for everyday usability. On the design front, the new model is likely to mirror the styling of the existing Chetak range, with no major visual changes anticipated. In terms of dimensions, the scooter is likely to measure 1,914 mm in length, 725 mm in width, and 1,143 mm in height. It is expected to offer a ground clearance of 168 mm and have a wheelbase of 1,355 mm. The unladen weight will likely remain at 123 kg, with the scooter riding on 90/90-12 tyres at both ends - a setup consistent with the current models. Bajaj is expected to price the Chetak 3001 competitively, with an estimated ex-showroom price tag of around Rs. 1 lakh or maybe less. With the official launch expected this week, further details including range, features, and availability should be revealed soon. When launched, the Bajaj Chetak 3001 will go up against the likes of the TVS iQube with the 2.2 kWh battery and the Ola S1 Z.

Bajaj Chetak 3001 Launched In India; Priced At Rs. 99,990

Bajaj Auto has launched the Chetak 3001, a new electric scooter that builds on the success of the Chetak 2903 and the popular Chetak 35 Series platform. Priced at Rs. 99,990 (ex-showroom), the Chetak 3001 is built on a new EV architecture that features floorboard-mounted 3.0 kWh battery. This layout helps lower the scooter's centre of gravity, improving overall stability while also freeing up space. The result is a roomier floorboard and a massive 35-litre underseat storage space, making it one of the most practical electric scooters in its class. With a certified range of 127 km, the Chetak 3001 promises to cover both daily commutes and short weekend rides with ease. Bajaj is also offering a 750 W charger that can juice the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in just 3 hours and 50 minutes, which is one of the quicker charging times in the segment. Bajaj is offering an optional TecPac technology suite on the Chetak 3001. This package includes features such as - call accept/reject functionality, music control, guide-me-home lights, hill-hold assist, reverse mode with light and auto-flashing stop lamp. The Chetak 3001 continues to be the only metal-bodied electric scooter in its class and is also IP67-rated, ensuring protection against dust and water. To further offer better accessibility, the Chetak 3001 will soon be available for purchase on Amazon, allowing customers to book the vehicle online. Bajaj Chetak ended FY25 Q4 (January-March 2025) as India's best-selling electric scooter, driven largely by the success of the 35 Series (including the Chetak 3501 and 3502). The new Chetak 3001 looks set to continue that momentum.
