Three Predictions: Alabama, Louisville, Rivals Five-Star
Jeff McCulloch/ Rivals national recruiting analyst John Garcia Jr. has predictions on an SEC program going on a strong run in recruiting, Louisville adding a surprise commitment and an unexpected headliner at the Rivals Five-Star. Official visit windows wrap up this week and it coincides with plenty of big fish the Crimson Tide are chasing relative to visits and/or commitment windows. Advertisement Among them are five-stars Cederian Morgan, Jireh Edwards and Tank Jones, with Morgan and Jones being in-state targets. Throw in running back Ezavier Crowell and fellow Yellowhammer State native Xavier Griffin inching closer to decisions, and the foundation of Kalen DeBoer's next great class in Tuscaloosa would appear all but set. Alabama should be on the plus side of more of these decisions than not. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ALABAMA FANS AT DJ WILLIAMS SURPRISES WITH LOUISVILLE COMMITMENT With Ole Miss grabbing the final official visit of DJ Williams' June tour, there has been some buzz for the Rebels to strike with the two-way talent. But as the decision date draws closer, it's the first official visit destination that may have set the bar so high others could not catch up. Advertisement Williams began his visits at Louisville the very first open official visit window of June and the offensive-minded staff views him as a game-breaking pass catcher at the next level. Word is Williams prefers to play wide receiver and that is one of the reasons the Cardinals now go into the announcement window as the program to beat. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH LOUISVILLE FANS AT A 2028 PROSPECT WILL STEAL THE SHOW AT THE RIVALS FIVE-STAR The Rivals Five-Star is just days away from kicking off in Indianapolis and throughout the preview content we've built up at Rivals, there is an intriguing name that continues to pop up – Eric McFarland. The athlete has chops at both running back and wide receiver, and he has become one of the stars of the college football recruiting offseason with his blistering production at various events. This will be the most competitive to date, but McFarland has risen to every challenge sent his way thus far, so it's foolish to assume he would slow down despite the dozens of fellow blue-chip recruits that will line up on the other side of the ball with hopes to. The IMG Academy product will be the talk of the event by dinner time on June 24.

Auburn Staying In Race for 5-Star WR Coveted By Alabama
Auburn Staying In Race for 5-Star WR Coveted By Alabama originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Having grown up in a state where the rivalry is everything, Cederian Morgan is well aware of the feud between the Auburn Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide. The five-star receiver from Alexander City, Ala., is being courted by both. Advertisement He paid Auburn one final visit last weekend. His comments after the trip should excite Hugh Freeze's program. 'Know all the coaches, all the players,' Morgan told 247Sports on Sunday. 'They all know my family. I've been up here probably a million times.' Tigers quarterback Deuce Knight, the No. 6 passer in 247Sports' Class of 2025 rankings, wants to team up with Morgan during the coming seasons. 'They've definitely been on me. Deuce has been on me the most, though,' Morgan told Rivals. 'I know Deuce is a great quarterback who can give me the ball however I need it, so that'll be a big plus for me.' Advertisement Auburn has a deep stable of pass-catchers, including Cam Coleman, but that's not a drawback for Morgan, who's second on 247Sports' Class of 2026 receivers list. LSU commit Tristen Keys is the only wideout ahead of him. 2026 five-star wide receiver prospect Cederian Morgan© Ken Ruinard - staff / USA TODAY NETWORK 'It's really anywhere I go, nobody's going to give up their spot,' Morgan said. 'So you got to go out there and work for it. I feel like with their receiver room, you come here, it's going to make you work even harder. I know all the guys outside of football. We're cool, got a very good connection. I just feel like on the field it's going to be even better. We're going to push each other to surpass each other and stuff like that.' Kalen DeBoer and his program have one more chance to impress Morgan on his official visit to Tuscaloosa next week. He'll decide on his destination on July 2, choosing between Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, and Colorado. Nation's No. 1 QB Reacts To 5-Star Wide Receiver's Visit To Georgia
Nation's No. 1 QB Reacts To 5-Star Wide Receiver's Visit To Georgia originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Georgia is hosting one of the top wide receivers in the country this weekend in hopes for a talented pairing with five-star quarterback commit Jared Curtis. Advertisement Head coach Kirby Smart's biggest recruiting win of the 2026 cycle came when Curtis pledged to the Bulldogs on May 5. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound passer was previously committed to UGA last fall before re-opening his recruitment. Curtis, the top quarterback in the country, was down to Georgia and Oregon before making his latest decision. With Curtis in the fold, attention turns to adding him some weapons. Georgia does have three four-star wide receivers committed to date, but that group would instantly be bolstered by five-star Cederian Morgan. Advertisement Home-state SEC power Alabama is projected to land the highly-coveted receiver. However, Georgia is making a push and hosting Morgan this weekend along with multiple elite recruits. After Morgan confirmed his official visit with a post on X, Curtis reacted with a post of his own. Morgan posted 70 catches for 1,162 yards and 14 TD as a junior in 2024. The multi-sport athlete also averaged 14.4 points and 11.3 rebounds per game on the hardwood. Five-star recruit sends clear message to Deion Sanders after Colorado visit
Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are in the running for one of the top players in the 2026 recruiting class. Five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan visited Colorado last weekend and was in awe of the atmosphere in Boulder. He recapped the weekend with Coach Prime and his staff, telling On3's Steve Wiltfong the Buffs have a "Great shot" to land him. Advertisement "Talking to Cederian Morgan after his visit on Sunday, he said 'They got a great shot. This is my first time being there. I really enjoyed it,'" Wilting said. 'He had a great time at Colorado this weekend.' At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, the Alexander City (Alabama) product would be one of the highest-ranked receivers in CU history. Morgan is ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver in the class of 2026, according to 247Sports. He's also a tri-sport athlete with football, track, and basketball as part of his background. Morgan finished junior season with 70 catches for 1,162 yards and 14 TD. He helped Benjamin Russell HS make the first round of the Alabama state playoffs in 2024. His scouting report by 247Sports Gabe Brooks is very telling of his future. Advertisement "Evaluation echoes that of a luxury sports car: big, smooth, and powerful," Brooks wrote. "Plays with obvious horsepower, accompanied by some encouraging physical refinement and nuance in regards to fluidity and locomotion. Dominant in contested scenarios as a consistent high pointer who exploits significant physical advantages vs. smaller defenders. Owns an enormous catch radius that gives a QB a large target throughout the route tree. Immensely productive with huge receiving numbers and even some limited defensive reps. "Excellent multi-sport profile that includes averaging a double-double in hoops, an Alabama 6A high jump silver medal (6-8), and a 21.74 200-meter rep. Size and track speed suggests that another top-end gear in pads exists, and therefore consistent downfield separation ability. Shows encouraging short-to-intermediate route snap and leveraging ability, especially considering size. Uniquely gifted pass-catching target with outstanding physical tools and athletic chops. Projects as a high-major impact player with traits that suggest long-term NFL Draft high-round potential." Morgan is between Colorado, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia. He would give the Buffs an immediate boost in next year's class and a top target for Julian Lewis.
