This Morning fans rage 'I am done!' as controversial broadcaster makes show debut - complaining 'what's she doing on here?!'
A controversial broadcaster's debut on Thursday's episode of This Morning certainly received mixed opinions from viewers. Broadcaster Kay Burley, 64 - who is known for her harsh interviewing techniques - appeared on the ITV show alongside Gyles Brandreth to chat to hosts Cat Deeley, 48, and Ben Shephard, 50, about the latest headlines. The pair appeared on the programme a handful of times to take part in the This Morning's View segment. Unfortunately, some viewers weren't impressed with her appearance on the show. One questioned on X: 'What is Kay Burley doing on #ThisMorning.' 'Oh not Kay Burley tea break time.' 'Really? Kay Burley I am done bye.' During the segment, Cat, Ben, Gyles and Kay discussed the fact that the sexiest politicians of 2025 which have been revealed - and Kate's opinion certainly ruffled a few feathers. Gyles mentioned Donald Trump during the discussion and Kay said: 'I have interviewed him yeah, he was very sexy.' Ben couldn't contain his shock and sat back in his seat as he processed what she said. Many picked up on what she said and wrote on X: 'Kay Burley saying she finds Donald Trump sexy on #ThisMorning well that's enough daytime TV.' 'Omfg Kay saying Donald humptydumpty trump is sexy, away and have a word with yourself #ThisMorning.' Meanwhile others took to the social platform to share how great they thought she looked. Many rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to give their opinion on Kay appearing on the ITV show '@kayburley lovely to see you and @gylesB1 on @thismorning. I'm only watching as you are on lovely Kay. Love Gyle's jumper x.' 'Wow kay burley looks incredible. 64 going on 40 [fire emojis].' Replying to a tweet that Gyles sent out, a fan said: 'You look cool as a cucumber in that lovely jumper hello to Kay I do love to see smiling.' Kay is arguably best known for presenting Sky News. But in February this year it was revealed that she was stepping down from her role at Sky News after 36 years. Over the years some of her interviews have stuck in people's minds for controversial reasons. Some of those include her interview with killer Steve Wright's former girlfriend Pam Wright. She asked about their sex life, asking: 'Five murders in six weeks. Do you think if you'd had a better sex life he wouldn't have done that?' Back in 2010 Peter Andre fought back the tears on telly as she questioned about Katie's then-husband Alex Reid adopting his kids. She was also caught using 'poor language' as she covered the Referendum in Abderdeen. Elsewhere in the episode This Morning fans raged 'I wish she would stop!' as they called out Cat's distracting habit. Cat styled her stunning locks over her shoulder and wore a sleek black blouse with animal print trousers. As the pair cracked on with covering the day's hot topics and welcomed guests, one fan seemed to noticed Cat moving her long, glossy hair out of the way. One watcher penned on X: 'Will someone give cat a bobble for her hair #thismorning.' It isn't the first time viewers have noticed the presenter playing with her hair and just a few days ago others quipped: 'Someone please shave Cat's head hair off so she stops f*****g messing with it! #ThisMorning.' This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1 from 10am and is available to stream on ITVX.

Cat Deeley swears by £31 beauty icon behind the scenes on TV
The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant is a 'holy grail' in several celebrity and MUA makeup bags Cat Deeley often gives her followers a sneak peek behind the scenes of This Morning, from her daily outfit checks to banter with co-host Ben Shephard. But earlier this month, she posted a clip applying a well known product in the ad break, and beauty lovers everywhere took note. In a clip posted to Instagram Stories, the stylish presenter was seen applying the cult favourite Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. The £31 skincare staple has long had a loyal following spanning generations, with Cat joining a long list of celebrities who keep it in their makeup kit. For Cat, who presents the show each morning Monday to Thursday, it's a smart addition to her beauty bag. Sitting under the bright studio lights, constant talking and air con would wreak havoc on anyone's skin, so it's no wonder she needs something reliable, restorative and multi-functional. And that's exactly what this skincare classic delivers. Originally formulated by Elizabeth Arden herself in 1930, the Eight Hour Cream has become a global bestseller thanks to its powerful healing properties. This multi-tasking balm is said to visibly calm, restore, and protect chapped, cracked and dry skin, while helping to soothe redness and minor irritations. The apricot-coloured formula is made with petrolatum, vitamin E, and a beta-hydroxy compound, ingredients that together offer deep nourishment and promote healing. Its versatility is what makes it so popular, as it can be used to moisturise lips like Cat, or to soften dry cuticles, elbows and even heal superficial burns. It can also be used to tame flyaway hairs and add shine to a makeup look. But Elizabeth Arden isn't the only brand with a do-it-all salve. In fact, Korean beauty brand Wonderbalm's hero product is the best-selling skincare item on British Airways flights thanks to its rich, multi-purpose formula. British Airways has seen a 20% monthly sales increase, even outperforming some liquor brands. Weleda Skin Food is another top choice made with natural ingredients like sunflower seed oil, lanolin and chamomile. It's an ultra-rich formula and more of a cream than a balm, too, ideal for using on hands, as an overnight mask or anywhere that needs some extra TLC. The £31 formula has earned an impressive 4.81 star rating on LookFantastic, where shoppers have praised its seemingly endless uses. 'This lasts a really long time as a lip balm for me - love it,' said one, while a second penned: 'This is my favourite cream for my face, I have such dry skin and this works miracles.' Another added: 'The only thing that heals my cracked lips and you only need a tiny amount.' 'Always in my stash. Great left on as an overnight mask. Perfect for dry lips. it Aided with healing a superficial burn. I have not tried for all 8 uses, but I would still highly recommend purchasing,' wrote another. Some have been less keen on the formula due to its fragrance and texture, one commented: 'Cream was not how I expected. Was not a fan of the smell or texture. Ended up giving to my friend to use ' another penned: 'Good product, really helps with my dry skin but it takes a while to soak in.' But for many, it's a 'holy grail handbag product', with another customer adding: 'Has so many uses! It's the best for soothing dry skin on hands.' It really does seem to be a beloved product, with the likes of Louise Thompson and Prince Harry also fans. With long hours of filming and frequent makeup touch-ups, it's no wonder Cat relies on Eight Hour Cream to keep her lips camera-ready. Shoppers can pick up the £31 cream at LookFantastic here.

This Morning's Cat Deeley leaves fans open-mouthed as she reveals her REAL name live on air
Cat Deeley left fans open-mouthed as she revealed her real name on This Morning on Wednesday. The 48-year-old presenter made the surprise confession during a heartwarming segment celebrating Thank A Teacher Day, where she was reunited with her former primary school teacher. Cat and co-host Ben Shephard had been listening to children share stories about their favourite teachers at a school in Surrey when the emotional surprise unfolded. Mrs Cotterill, Cat's own teacher from her school days, appeared via video link - and casually referred to her by her real name, catching viewers off guard. Addressing the star, she said: 'Her name is Katie.' Ben said to Mrs Cotterill: 'Because you of course know her as Katie.' Cat, who received a glowing report from Mrs Cotterill, revealed that her real name is Catherine. She went on to share that she was known as Katie during her childhood - a far cry from the name fans have come to know her by over the years. 'Well my real name is Catherine, but my grandad always used to call me Katie and my mum and dad and stuff,' she said, adding: 'Unless I was in trouble, then I was sometimes Catherine!' Giving her feedback on Cat, who was delighted to see the familiar face, Mrs Cotterill said: 'She was very enthusiastic, a very kind child. Always wanting to help, always wanting to be involved, just actually, an all round super person.' Cat grew up in Birmingham, attending Grove Vale Junior School before moving on to Dartmouth High School. At just 14, she made it to the national finals of a modelling competition run by the BBC show Her success led to a modelling contract - and it was during this time that her name was shortened to Cat, marking the start of her career in the spotlight. Cat and Ben were unveiled as the new faces of This Morning last year, stepping in to replace long-time presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. Ben said at the time: 'This really feels like a very special moment for Cat and I to be part of the next chapter of This Morning. It's an honour to be trusted with the reigns, join Alison and Dermot and all the team that work on and off screen and do such a great job. 'For the last ten years I've been waking up with our ITV daytime audience on GMB and I now look forward to spending time with Cat... 'Welcoming the viewers home after the school run or from their early morning routines, with a cup of tea and a mix of everything that makes This Morning so loved.' Cat added: 'This Morning is a national institution. Whenever it's on, it's like having your friends over - funny, smart, silly, heartfelt, informative and joyful - like all the greatest friendships!... 'This Morning is and always will be the viewer's show. 'Ben and I both know how much people love it, and with the help of an amazing team of people, we're going to do our best to take care of it.' Cat previously fronted a whole host of shows, including So You Think You Can Dance? in the states. During this time she settled down with Irish comedian Patrick Kielty, and the couple share two sons, James and Milo. The family used to live in Los Angeles for 14 years, but decided to make the UK their home after a terrifying mall shooting a few years ago. Given the commonality of shooting incidents within the school system, it prompted Cat and Patrick to think twice. 'Fear was part of this,' Cat told the Daily Mail's You magazine about leaving the US.
